We booked two business class tickets from New York to Mumbai through Oojo in August 2025, on Turkish Airlines, and paid extra for travel protection because we knew we'd need to change the return. The outbound leg was fine. Then we tried to use the protection we paid for.
Our return was June 1, 2026. In late April we tried to change it online, got an error, and called. They promised to contact Turkish Airlines and call back with options near our date (July 4). They never called back. We phoned again May 4 and May 13, always the same line: "the airline hasn't replied."
Refund? Nonrefundable, period. Move it to 2027 instead? Not allowed, the ticket expires a year after purchase. So the only option left was the change we'd already been begging for. For a week we called three times a day. They'd email saying flights were available, we'd confirm we were ready to pay (now extra, since their delays let prices rise), and ask for a payment link. It never came. Three requests, no response.
The calls are a joke. Ten minute holds. One agent's "shift was ending" with five minutes left, promised a transfer, then dropped the call. Near 2 AM another agent put me on hold, came back saying "I can't hear you" while I wasn't muted, and hung up.
Nearly a year on, the protection was worthless and our ticket is about to expire. I have a call log of around ten calls and screenshots of all of it. Book directly with the airline.
