Stayed at Hyatt Regency in Aqaba.
by Samantha

Stayed at Hyatt Regency in Aqaba. Booked, said breakfast included, executive lounge access. Got there, receptionist wanted £100+ for breakfast for 3 nights. Showed listing, started argument (arguing with customer in 5-star hotel??). Manager sorted it. Customer service online (Rebecca S) rude- said cookies in lounge were breakfast? Surely she doesn't eat cookies for breakfast. Hotel nice, Fatima in executive lounge amazing- deserves recognition for job.

My booking got canceled
by Anonymous

My booking got canceled I had a booking at Hyatt Regency Creek Heights Residences that got canceled even though I used a valid credit card. The hotel said they used a debit card and then they sent an email saying my credit card wasn't valid! But it is a valid credit card.

We've been patrons of this establishment
by YB MA

We've been patrons of this establishment for several years, starting in 2019. Over time, we've noticed a decline in the quality of their offerings and their overall value for money. However, our most recent visit in December 2023 left us deeply dissatisfied, primarily due to the subpar service at the front desk. The Front Office Manager, Miguel Bermudez, seems ill-suited for his role, displaying poor body language and a lack of aptitude towards guests. This attitude seems to be mirrored by his team at the front desk. During our check-in, they openly laughed at our family, seemingly unaware of internal policies that directly affected our stay – policies we were not informed of prior to our arrival. It was revealed that the hotel had undergone an inspection by authorities regarding breaches related to human trafficking and underage prostitution policies in Cartagena. Unfortunately, the front desk staff's handling of this sensitive matter was extremely poor, exacerbated by Mr. Bermudez's lack of confidence, inadequate information, and training for his team. Attempting to escalate the issue by requesting to speak to the manager proved futile, as the staff consistently evaded providing the necessary information, citing the General Manager's absence on vacation. Witnessing numerous unhappy guests during our stay was surprising, and we even had the chance to speak to another family who faced similar issues during check-in. The lack of leadership within the Hyatt Regency Cartagena is evident, as highlighted in recent reports. Regrettably, our experience has led us to the decision that this will be our last visit to the Hyatt Regency Cartagena de Indias. While we will continue to visit Cartagena for business or pleasure, we will actively avoid this hotel and will not recommend it to business partners, friends, or family. It appears that Hyatt Regency Cartagena de Indias is following a path similar to another branded hotel nearby, facing persistent issues that, when addressed, were already too deeply entrenched, resulting in ongoing challenges and substantial costs. A particular incident involving the closure of hot water in our room (2222) on the last night only added to our dissatisfaction. Messrs. Miguel Bermudez and Cleyder Reales, this decision further marred our experience, making our final stay at your hotel even more regrettable.

My experience with the Plymouth
by R Higgs

My experience with the Plymouth Hyatt was incredibly disappointing. Unfortunately, the front desk person mishandled our reservation for two nights, leading to a series of unpleasant incidents during our stay. After just one night, we returned from shopping to find all our belongings packed up, with our dress clothes carelessly thrown into a garbage bag. Shockingly, no one bothered to inform us about this unsettling situation. To make matters worse, upon our return to the room, we discovered that we were locked out and left without accommodation. The front desk person's behavior was far from acceptable; they exhibited rudeness, inconsideration, and disrespect towards us. Not only did they fail to address the situation appropriately, but they also refused to provide their name when requested, further aggravating our frustration. Regrettably, this experience has left a lasting negative impression, and we have decided that we will not consider staying at any Hyatt hotel in the future. The lack of communication, poor handling of our reservation, and the disrespectful attitude of the staff member have undoubtedly tarnished our perception of the Plymouth Hyatt.

Avoid Hyatt hotels when using
by pharmwong

Avoid Hyatt hotels when using the point system – it's a complete disappointment! As someone who holds the highest tier with an impressive 600K points earned from numerous business stays, my experience attempting to redeem these points at five different locations across the country has been nothing short of frustrating. Despite the advertised promise of points being accepted, each Hyatt property I tried did not honor this commitment, leaving me unable to book using my hard-earned points. It's disheartening to realize that the Hyatt points program, which initially seemed promising, turned out to be nothing more than a fraudulent scheme.
