KOALA

Booked two weeks in Kona at this top-notch resort and honestly, I was surprised at how affordable it was compared to what I expected. This was my first time listing, so it was a bit of a learning curve. Took me a while to figure out I needed to search for the specific island before the listing popped up. The subscription fees and rental service charges did eat into the rental income quite a bit. But the customer service from Koala and the rental system itself were pretty impressive. Overall, not a bad experience but there's definitely room for improvement on those fees.

We had such an amazing experience with you all! Our family of 12 needed a place for vacation, and it wasn't easy. Kat, especially, went above and beyond. I couldn't believe she called us on a Saturday night, working tirelessly to find the perfect spot. She and her team contacted so many owners, like 60 or something, just to make it happen for us. Her dedication was incredible, and it made all the difference. We ended up with a fantastic place and had the best time, thanks to her efforts. Big thanks to Kat and the whole team for making our family vacation truly special!

I used to have a pretty smooth experience with KOALA, but lately, things have been getting trickier. At first, I was able to get back a decent chunk of my maintenance fees, but now it's a lot harder. I've had a few bookings canceled on me, which is frustrating. Sometimes I can re-list them myself and make it work, but that's not always the case. Plus, with Club Wyndham's new Priority Bookings rules, I'm hitting a wall. They limit how many I can book in a year, so I've had to miss out on quite a few opportunities. It's definitely not as easy as it used to be.

Ayesha totally rocked my KOALA VIP orientation! She walked me through all the benefits and processes, and even cleared up stuff that wasn’t part of my benefits. I had a bunch of follow-up questions, and she answered every single one, making sure I felt confident as a KOALA host. Her knowledge about timeshares and KOALA really showed and made the whole orientation super positive. Seriously, I feel like I can totally maximize my benefits now. Huge shoutout to Ayesha and KOALA for making this such a great experience!

We had a pretty rough time with this booking. The place we stayed had some serious safety problems, and my kid almost got really hurt because of it. The hosts didn’t seem to care much about the issues when we told them. Felt like they just brushed it off. It’s really scary when you think about what could have happened. I would definitely not recommend booking with them, especially if you're planning a family vacation. Safety should be a priority, and it clearly wasn’t for them.

You won't believe what's been going on with my VIP service at Koala. I paid extra to get my listing featured, and I sent them an email and a text on October 1st to let them know. They promised it would be up in 1-2 days, but now it's October 10th and still nothing. My listing is just sitting there, pending review, and nobody's telling me why. I used to love how easy Koala's listing process was, but this has been super frustrating. I really expected more from their VIP service.

Had my orientation with Ayesha today. There was a ton of info, but she made it all super clear and easy to understand. She walked me through the platform and all the steps for creating listings, using the HGV Hub, handling payouts, and more. The company seems really well put together and ready to help with renting out weeks, which should help cover maintenance costs. Guess we’ll see how it goes over the next year. Absolutely frustrating experience. I got charged $175 unexpectedly because of some auto-shipment thing I wasn't clear about. Tried to return the items, but nope, they don’t accept returns. To make matters worse, the only way to cancel is through email, which is super inconvenient. Feels like they're just out to get your money. Seriously, avoid this company. It’s just bad practices all around.

I’ve tried putting up a bunch of listings on Koala. One person booked but then canceled, which was a bit disappointing. I do have two other potential bookings, so fingers crossed they go through. Not sure if Koala will catch on more, but I'm hopeful. Guess I'll wait and see how it goes.
