    Booked online easily and got a reminder with what to bring. The instructor explained rips and flags first, then built us up from paddling to standing. I’m not super sporty, but their tips clicked. Location choice based on conditions made me feel safe and actually got me a couple rides.

    My son and I had an EPIC time in Te Arai with Aotearoa Surf School for a 2-hour surf lesson—super friendly and experienced instructor, stunning weather, beautiful beach, lots of laughs—and we both managed to ride some waves—can’t wait to get back. Highly recommend!
