    I felt relieved switching from a flaky line to solid full fibre. Uploads match downloads, which helps with backups. The account portal is clean and payments are predictable. A clear win for my household.

    There was a brief area outage and their status page updated quickly. I called anyway and the agent confirmed the fix time. Service came back when promised. The transparency won me over. One star off only because I’d like more features in the account portal.

    I’ve been using shared hosting since 1998 and have dealt with a lot of different hosts over the years, but TrueHost has been the worst experience by far. Technical problems keep popping up, and every time something on their end needs fixing it can take days before my sites are back online. Support is email only, with no phone option at all, which makes things even more frustrating. Even the “unlimited” plan has a hard storage cap at 87GB. I’ve also had FTP accounts disappear more than once, and entire directories vanished too, so I was glad I had local backups to upload again. On top of that, they’ve randomly changed the IP address multiple times, forcing me to go back to my domain registrar and update it to the new one just to get the sites working again. Avoid this host.
