    In my little studio, I decided to try out the da87 mic. Comparing it to the wa87, it's a bit weaker in output, though the tone is quite similar. Now, when I lined it up against the tlm 103 and tlm 102, the differences were noticeable. The da87 didn’t have the same presence as the tlm 103 but, to my surprise, it sounded better than the tlm 102. Honestly, I wish it had a bit more power, but for my needs, it gets the job done. I was considering going for the 47, but my mic budget is tapped out for now. So, the da87 will have to do.
