Just got this mic, and honestly, it's pretty awesome. The sound quality is spot on, but the packaging? Not so much. One corner of the box was a bit smashed, and when I opened it, there were foam bits everywhere. Seriously, it was like a mini foam explosion. The mic itself was thankfully wrapped up nicely, so it was safe. But yeah, had to clean up a mess before I could even use it. I mean, I got it on sale, so maybe it's just one of those trade-offs. Overall, really happy with the mic, just wish the packaging was better.

I got the DA87 from Dachman Audio and gotta say, it’s pretty awesome. The build quality is solid and the sound is impressive. I’m using it alongside a U87 in a M/S setup, and while they do sound a bit different, the DA87 really shines. In fact, I think for some singers, the DA87 might actually be a better fit. One thing though, the shock mount joint isn’t strong enough for the mic’s weight – had to tighten it a lot to stop it from drooping. Other than that, I’m super happy with it. It’s a fantastic mic for the price.
