I had quite the experience with Extra Mile Van Lines around mid-March. My aunt had just had a stroke, so I had to keep delaying the pickup date. After finally settling on a date, I was told the movers would arrive Saturday morning. Instead, they showed up late in a U-Haul truck, not the van I was expecting. The movers didn’t have a contract for me to sign, and they had to go get one printed, delaying everything further. They started filming my stuff, loaded it, and then demanded an extra $1500 on top of what I had already paid. The whole process was a mess, with no one answering calls and my furniture held hostage. Eventually, I had to get my aunt's attorney involved. After a lot of hassle, my items were promised for delivery, but they never showed. It's been a nightmare.
