We rented a vehicle from Ace through Booking.com

We rented a vehicle from Ace through Booking.com (big mistake, more on that later) to pick up and drop off in Miami. When we arrived, they told us about extra toll charges but assured us that no additional insurance was needed, and no other fees were mentioned. The customer service agent was hard to understand, impatient, and kept joking around. He asked me to sign on the device to accept the terms. I specifically asked if there would be any extra charges, and he said no every time. Later, I found out I was charged for extra coverage and various other fees, totaling about £300 in unexpected costs. No documents were given to confirm this. Ace then denied my request for a refund, stating I had signed for the additional fees. Booking.com was also unhelpful, and my credit card company wouldn’t assist either without any clear evidence. Sadly, from my experience and what others have said, I must say that Ace operates like a scam. They misled me face to face, refused to give a refund or take responsibility, and would not provide proof or check recordings of the conversation. I cannot stress enough: steer clear of them. The prices they show are just not true.

My 4th time getting a car from these folks.

My 4th time getting a car from these folks. Price is unbeatable and the help (Daniel, I think) good. Even though they're popular and there's a big line 3 out of 4 times, service is quick (they got 4 or 5 working counters) so you don't wait too long. The car (I always get a Camry) was in great shape. The only reason it's not 5* is there's no direct shuttle from LAX (as far as I know); you first go to the shuttle parking lot to catch the ACE shuttle.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company I booked a car 13 days ahead with "Ace Rent a Car" through QEEQ.com. Paid a deposit. Reservation confirmed by email. Landed at Manchester airport as planned. Called to arrange the shuttle, only to hear no car was available due to one vehicle being in an accident. No help given. No other options suggested. No warning. Avoid both of these companies. Use with caution.

Rented a car for a week and wanted to keep it for 3 more

Rented a car for a week and wanted to keep it for 3 more days, so I contacted Ace Rental. They said it was all arranged, but then I received an angry call from them to return the car. It turns out they didn't have my booking and even took money from my bank without my permission. I wouldn't recommend renting from these guys.

Rented a car for 13 days online, assured I had CDW but got an excess insurance too. At Toronto office, told no excess insurance, need to pay $305 more. Later told I had CDW but no 3rd party liability, in terms but not mentioned. Liars; don't do business with them, went elsewhere.
