The METRO PHX APTS reviews bout ROACHES
by Anonymous

The METRO PHX APTS reviews bout ROACHES, DIRTY LINENS, and POOR SERVICE are TRUE. It's uncomfortable due to ROACHES and LINENS. Front desk friendly, not PRO. Pool, grill area OK. Central location, large rooms. But staying here is PUNISHMENT. HOTWIRE should be ASHAMED. ROACHES and DIRTY LINENS make it NOT RECOMMENDED unless no CHOICE.

Booked a room for an out-of-town trip.
by leonardo gage

Booked a room for an out-of-town trip. Upon arrival, we got the key, went to the room, but the door was broken. Inside, there was a funky smell, and the floor was dirty. The bed was made, but the sheets were stained. When we went back to the front desk for a refund, they said we had to go through Hotwire for it. I asked for confirmation of canceling the room to give to Hotwire, but no one responded for a week. I sent a text and received a response two days later, which was four days after canceling the room. Hotwire refused to give a refund and offered a measly 25 Hotwire bucks. The hotel wasn't safe or clean, so we didn't stay. It's frustrating why it's so hard to get a refund.

Do not use Hotwire.
by Paul

Do not use Hotwire. I have been waiting for a refund since October 14th, and all they do is give you a runaround about why it hasn't happened. Now they're saying it's a manual process, and it will take another 30 days.

If I could, I'd give them negative stars
by Tracy D

If I could, I'd give them negative stars! I've used Hotwire before without issues, but now they seem to be nothing more than an overpriced travel agency with the worst customer service ever. I booked two flights and a car rental for a week. Later, I received an email from Hotwire saying that WestJet had canceled my return flight and put me on a different one. There was an "accept" or "decline" option at the bottom of the page. I declined as I didn't want an earlier flight with a long layover, so I rebooked my return flight. The refund for the canceled flight came from WestJet, not from Hotwire. At no point did either company inform me that both of my flights had been canceled. When I arrived at the airport for my outbound flight, a WestJet agent told me I wasn't scheduled on the flight because Hotwire had canceled it. I had to hastily rebook a last-minute flight that cost me over $1000. Hotwire is now refusing to refund any of my original cost or the rebooked flight, which was necessary only due to their incompetence.

Hotwire is not an honest site
by Jaclyn R

Hotwire is not an honest site, and anyone considering doing business with them needs to be aware of this before booking anything. I booked a rental with Sixt Car rental company in Orlando, FL, and was charged $362.03. Later, I discovered that Hotwire did not reconcile that amount with Sixt and that I was charged directly by Sixt Car Rental, resulting in a double charge on my credit card. I reported the case to my credit card company, but they were unable to resolve it with Hotwire. Upon further investigation on the internet, I found that Hotwire has numerous similar complaints. If it were possible, I'd give them zero stars.
