the tour itself was good. The driver was great, but I’m afraid the tour guide was not up to par. It took us a long time to get our labels, and even longer to start the bus rotation. He didn’t provide us with the right information, and by the end of it, we were all just joking about what mistake he’d make next. I’m sorry, but it seems like he’s not suited for this job. On the positive side, the rest of the tour went well. I liked the people on the coach, and the hotels were okay. The one near the beach didn’t have any food, as William had told us there would be a restaurant at the next hotel. When we got there, it turned out to be a beach bar, and they had run out of food and were closing early. We saw people from the other bus eating at a small café, so maybe in the future, you could make that an option for guests. There was nowhere else to go, or perhaps changing the hotel would be better next time.

    Globus

The highlight of our trip was definitely the tour director, Chris Heatherley. He was a true professional—organized, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. He managed the hotels and check-ins without any hassle, made sure no one was left behind, and kept the group engaged throughout. Chris really made the experience enjoyable. Thanks again, Chris!

    Trafalgar.com

We booked our Trafalgar trip across Europe. The cost we paid included a guide and porterage services, or so we thought. During the trip, we were constantly asked to tip both the guide and the driver—4 euros per person per day for the driver and 6 euros per person per day for the guide. We felt like we were paying twice for the same services, especially after already spending so much on the tour. This meant an extra 20 euros per day for 21 days (an additional 420 Euros / $714 AUD). It seems Trafalgar doesn't offer a fair wage to their staff, so we ended up covering the difference for them, even though the brochure mentioned those services should be included. It felt like a bit of an unfair situation. Next time, we’ll choose a different company.
