I booked a flight through eSky and paid in full. The airline later cancelled the flight. eSky confirmed that they received my payment and that the cancellation was initiated by the airline.
However, instead of processing the refund, eSky informed me that I may have to wait 3–6 months because they are waiting to receive the funds back from the airline. I find this unreasonable.
As a customer, I paid eSky directly. I should not be required to wait several months due to internal financial arrangements between eSky and the airline. Under EU passenger rights regulations, refunds following airline-initiated cancellations should be processed without undue delay.
Customer service responses have been polite but unhelpful, simply repeating that this is their “standard procedure.”
At this point, I have filed formal complaints with the relevant authorities.
I would strongly advise future customers to consider booking directly with the airline to avoid similar issues.
