I was just trying to get my Cox Internet back up and running, but the tech support guy seemed more interested in selling me Verizon than helping with my actual problem. It was frustrating, especially since I wasn't even looking to switch providers. To make matters worse, it was tough to understand him, so communication was a bit of a mess. After a while, I just gave up on the call and decided to tackle the issue myself. Surprisingly, I managed to sort it out on my own after some trial and error. It would've been nice to get some real help, though, instead of a sales pitch.
