I engaged with these guys to ship my car knowing that they are a broker and brokers all work the same way: they post your vehicle to an online board and drivers bid on the pick up. So, you do need to realize that they quote you a low price to get you engaged and then there is a high likelihood that price will go up since the brokers have little control over what price the driver will do the work for. That said, when it didn't work our for me, they did promptly process a refund of my deposit without giving me a hard time. I thought that was very professional.

    Budget.com

I booked a car through Expedia, thinking Budget would be reliable since it's a big name in the US. My trip was to Merida, Mexico, and I got a quote I thought was all set. But when I landed, the Budget desk at the airport was shut, like permanently. After hunting for a contact number, they finally sent a shuttle to fetch us. At their offsite location, the rep seemed like she'd had a rough day, and her attitude showed it. The worst part? The cost was nearly triple what I'd been quoted. They saw I was a tourist and hiked the price. With no other transport options, I was stuck paying the inflated fees. Definitely steering clear of Budget next time.

I rented a car from Budget thinking it'd be a smooth experience, but it's been a nightmare. I was charged twice and my $300 deposit is still missing. My rental was supposed to be $279, but now I'm out over $700. Trying to get a refund has been a real hassle. Every call to customer service just turns into a frustrating back-and-forth with no resolution in sight. It feels like their business model is built on misleading customers. Honestly, I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering renting a car. It's just not worth the headache and financial stress.
