    Prime Publishing Studio

I came into this project with a manuscript I'd been sitting on for years. I kept tweaking it but never felt confident enough to move forward. Working with a publishing service finally gave the book some direction. The editor helped identify what was holding the story back and suggested changes that made everything flow better.

    Mixam.com

After 15 years using an American book printer, I switched to Mixam to have my project printed here in Canada. Initially I uploaded the project November 20 and was surprised that they gave an "estimated date" of December 9th for delivery, which is much longer than most of their competitors for this kind of project. Initially I was told that my art was fine, then a day later was told that they had made an adjustment to the cover for the bleed. I signed off immediately. That was November 24. I noticed the estimated date was now December 11. On December 11 I failed to get any shipping info, so inquired about when my project would be ready. Without apology, explanation or an offer of compensation, they updated my initial file to say the "estimated date is December 29." Meanwhile, the American printer was still offering to get my project done before Christmas if I shipped my art by December 16. Their standard response is that everything is an estimate, and evidently those "estimates" aren't even close to reality. Tired of their lame excuses. Their estimate should really be "whenever." I have more than 40 years experience dealing with printers -- nobody credible delivers such terrible customer service.

    Transfi.com

My experience with TransFi has been extremely negative. Many of the commitments made to us were not delivered, and the services we were told to expect never became available. Settlement payouts were repeatedly delayed, and after more than 10 weeks of trying to resolve these issues, we saw no meaningful progress. We used their NFT Checkout solution and were informed that MCC 5815 would be provided. Despite repeated confirmations, the only code ever supplied to us was MCC 6051. We received many apologies and new promises over time, but none of them were fulfilled in our case. The entire process resulted in significant delays, losses, and wasted time. Because of the seriousness of these issues, we have submitted reports to the Bank of Lithuania and FCIS so authorities can review the situation. If others have experienced similar problems, I strongly recommend reporting it to the appropriate regulators as well.
