I recently had an unexpected and frustrating experience with a car rental booked through Priceline. I thought everything was settled when I paid in full, but when I returned the vehicle, I was hit with extra charges for a United Airlines miles account. The problem? I don’t even have a United account! When I reached out to Priceline, they flat-out denied any involvement, claiming my account didn’t have any frequent flyer programs attached. Frustrated, I contacted the rental company again, only to be stonewalled. This whole ordeal feels like a scam, and I’m left feeling cheated. I'm seriously considering filing a complaint with the BBB and the state attorney in Colorado. This isn’t over.

Booked my car with Budget, and it was a breeze. Picked it up at Palm Springs Airport, and I barely had to wait. The staff? Super friendly and went out of their way to help. They handed me the keys to a Mazda CX-30, and it was just perfect—super comfy and really good on gas. Drove around with no worries at all. Returning it was just as easy as picking it up. Quick and hassle-free, plus the staff was just as nice when I dropped it off. Shoutout to Albert for making it a smooth experience. Definitely going with Budget next time!

Rented a Jeep Cherokee through Costco, thinking it’d be smooth sailing. But 24 hours in, I found a sketchy tire repair—super unsafe. Sent pics to Budget, and they agreed it needed swapping out. Thought I’d get better treatment, but nope. They downgraded me to a Chevy Trailblazer but charged me for a Standard SUV anyway. Promised a free rental day for the hassle, but that never happened. Then, out of nowhere, my bill jumped to $930.13 from the agreed $412, with no heads up or breakdown. Only after I kicked up a fuss through Costco did I get a partial refund, but no explanation. It feels like Budget’s playing games with safety and pricing. If you value transparency and safety, steer clear.
