I’ve been enrolled in the AMC 12 and AIME prep course along with my AP Physics and AP Biology classes, and it’s been both tough and satisfying. The AMC/AIME course has really helped me improve my problem-solving and math thinking. The emphasis on deep understanding and smart problem techniques makes it different from usual school math. The teacher explains hard ideas well and gives lots of practice questions, which has raised my confidence for contests. Managing this class with AP Physics and Biology has been a real challenge for my time, but the thinking skills overlap has been helpful. AP Physics has made my reasoning sharper, and AP Biology has boosted my memory and ability to combine detailed facts—abilities that also help in contest math. In general, I strongly suggest the AMC 12/AIME class for anyone serious about math contests. It’s demanding but very rewarding, especially if you’re handling tough AP subjects too.
