    I bought a car from

I bought a car from this site and was really disappointed. When it arrived, there were several paint chips that weren't visible in the pictures online. I contacted customer service and sent the photos they asked for. It's been ages, and I still haven't heard anything back other than it’s being reviewed. This whole experience has been frustrating and honestly, I feel pretty ignored. If you're thinking about getting a car from here, be careful and maybe look elsewhere. I definitely won't be buying from them again.

Getting started with them was a breeze, everything seemed smooth at first. But then, things went downhill. They sent me the wrong paperwork, no digital signatures, so I had to hire a notary twice. And halfway through, they switched my service person, which was super annoying. The whole process dragged on for almost a month. Honestly, I'm surprised it even got completed. What a hassle!

    Picked up my new car

Picked up my new car and really love it, but it came with a damaged front Carbon Fiber lip. They promised to fix it if I decided to keep the car, but I still haven’t heard back about the repair. Their communication isn't the best, but I guess it's alright. The whole experience was kinda okay, not amazing but not terrible either.

    I was excited at first

I was excited at first when I started my purchase with Driveway. Everything seemed smooth and communication was good. But soon, things took a turn. After the initial updates, I felt like I was chasing shadows. No one seemed to have any info, just vague promises about updates. I kept being the one to reach out, which is super annoying for something so big. My car is just 3.5 hours away in New Jersey, yet no clue on who's delivering it, what company they’re using, or even what number to expect a call from. I need to plan, but it’s like pulling teeth to get any info. Reading about registration issues from others has me even more worried. If they can't handle delivery communication, what’s next? For such a big purchase, this lack of transparency is really disappointing. Driveway seriously needs to step up their game.

    Not so much

Buying a car from this place felt like an uphill battle. I tried to get some help, but they just kept pointing me to these cartoon videos. It felt pretty impersonal, especially when you're looking at spending $60k on a car. Plus, they don't even let you pick up the car, even if you're just a couple of hours away. I can't justify paying $800 for delivery when it’s sitting right there at a nearby dealer lot owned by the same company. The whole process is confusing, especially since not all cars go through their system. Makes me wonder if there's something wrong with those that do. And their lack of certified pre-owned cars was a red flag for me. Maybe some things are just better bought in person. So, I think I'll stick to traditional dealerships for now. Online might be good for selling, but buying?

    I can't even begin to

I can't even begin to describe how frustrating this whole car registration process has been. I've been trying to get an update on my vehicle title for what feels like forever, but Driveway has been completely silent. The dealership where I bought the car isn’t any better - no answers, no clarity. I’ve reached out to Driveway several times, begging them to look into it, but nothing changes. Meanwhile, my temporary tags expired over a week ago. Now, I'm stuck relying on Uber and friends for rides. I know I probably won’t get anything for the hassle, but the lack of communication and resolution is beyond disappointing. This whole experience has been a nightmare, and I really hope Driveway steps up for future customers.

    Started buying a car on

Started buying a car on June 25th, got all the paperwork done by the next day. Communication was great until I paid the deposit and the car was taken off the lot. I was told I'd get the car faster since I was picking it up myself, which was a relief since my old car's engine just died. But by July 1st, hadn't heard a thing. Called them around 3 PM my time, only to find out the car wasn’t even drivable yet—they were waiting on a shifter. They promised to call back, but nothing. When I reached out again, they said I couldn’t get the car until after the 4th of July. Now I’m second-guessing this whole deal. They shouldn't sell cars that aren’t road-ready.

Definitely won’t be buying a car online again

I was initially thrilled with the service. The purchase process was smooth, and communication was spot on. They were quick to answer all my queries, making me feel confident about buying the car online. But things went downhill once the car was delivered. Getting a response from them became a frustrating task. I found myself waiting endlessly for replies to my messages and emails. To top it off, the car arrived without a temporary license, so the promised 7-day, 400-mile test drive was a no-go. My excitement quickly turned into regret. I was really hoping for a better post-purchase experience. Definitely won’t be buying a car online again.

    Getting a car from this

Getting a car from this place was a real headache. The team seemed clueless about selling cars in our state. I kept getting different answers from different departments, which was super frustrating. There was no clear info on what to expect, so everything took forever. I had to make so many calls and send loads of texts just to get the right details. It took over three weeks to finally get the car and more than a month to sort out the tag. The truck itself is great and we got it for a good price, but this whole process taught me to ask a million questions if I ever buy online again.

    I’ve been on the hunt

I’ve been on the hunt for a good car, but it’s been a bit of a challenge. Every time I find one that checks all the boxes—no accidents, single owner—it’s already snapped up. The ones that are left either have accidents in their history or have switched hands too many times, which gets me worried about potential hidden issues. I’m determined to keep looking, though. I’m curious about how often new cars come in; is it something that happens daily, weekly, or monthly? Just trying to figure out my chances of finding the right one soon. Any insight would be appreciated!

I went to get my plate transferred, but they messed it up big time. Ended up needing a new plate and had to pay extra for it, plus double the registration fees. Took forever to sort out, too. When they delivered my car, it got tagged for a toll violation, which I had to fix on my own. They did pay me back for the new plate cost, so that was something. They were pretty helpful with getting all my documents sorted out, which I did appreciate. But overall, they’re kind of all over the place and not very organized as a team.

Man, I was really excited about getting my new car. But when it showed up, it was covered in bird poop and pollen. Even the delivery driver was like, "Whoa, sorry about this." It was disappointing, to say the least. And then, to top it all off, there was no temporary tag included. Had to deal with that hassle too. It's a shame because everything was going great up until the delivery.

The whole licensing thing took forever! I bought a new car and didn't have my plates or registration for a full two weeks. Tried to get a temporary license from a local agency, but they couldn't help. So, I was stuck waiting until the plates finally showed up via UPS. Everything else with the car purchase went pretty smooth, but that wait was frustrating.

    Terrible experience ever

I’ve bought plenty of cars before, but this recent experience was a nightmare. Saw a gorgeous S7 in their inventory and thought I'd give them a shot. Big mistake. Got approved through their bank partner, got hyped up with emails, but things quickly went downhill. They asked for ID, financial docs, insurance – all of which I provided. But no one followed up. Had to keep calling, and each time a different agent gave me conflicting info. One said they're waiting on the bank, another said it's all in-house. They even increased my down payment from $10k to $42k, claiming the bank countered. Decided to look at another car within the new approval range, but couldn't access my loan terms online. Called them again, and they said it's for security reasons. Found a cheaper car, called to proceed, and they said I needed to reapply. What? Already approved for the amount! They insisted on running my credit again, but I knew that wasn’t necessary. Asked them to show me the policy online – they couldn’t. Got transferred to a supervisor but ended up back in the call queue. Finally, another rep tried to get me approved for the original car, but asked for more documents. They had me running in circles. Worst part? They ran my credit 15 times. And no temporary tags; I had to get them myself from the DMV. Total frustration and disappointment. Got nothing in the end.

    Unbelievable scam

In February, I thought I struck gold by buying a car online through Driveway, part of the Lithia Group. They shipped it from Mesquite Kia to my place in Iowa. But when it arrived, I was shocked. The car had major body damage that was clearly hidden in the online photos. Inside, it was a mess, full of crumbs from the last owner, and it even came with expired temporary plates. I found a key fob for a new Kia in the console too. I left a one-star review on Trustpilot, and Driveway's customer service reached out, asking how to make it a five-star review. I told them to fix the damage and pay for a full detail. They sent a UPS envelope to return the key fob, which took up my entire lunch break to drop off. They offered a laughable compensation and claimed the car was repaired before shipping, showing a $350 invoice for "paint." The front bumper was hanging off! I got a local estimate, which came to over $3000. After returning the key fob, communication stopped. It's been two weeks since I heard from them. Now, I'm stuck with a damaged car and a monthly payment, feeling completely deceived. Seems like selling broken cars and ignoring customers is how Lithia operates. Unbelievable.

    Just got my 2024 VW

Just got my 2024 VW Tiguan SEL R Line, and the buying process was really smooth and quick. The car arrived in perfect condition, shipped from FL to VA, and I was driving it within 4 days of signing the paperwork. But here's where things go downhill. I got the car on the 18th with 30-day temp tags, but they've expired, and no sign of the permanent ones. I contacted the company days ago and was promised new temp tags overnight, but nothing yet. I called again today, and they still have no idea what's happening. It's illegal to drive with expired tags, and around here, cops are super strict. Also, the car had more miles on it than stated in the paperwork, and no one seems to know why. They promised to reimburse me for the extra miles, but I still feel misled. I've paid for a car I can't even drive right now because they haven't sorted out the title. I have chemo treatments three times a week, and this is a huge inconvenience. This experience is making me rethink recommending Driveway to others. Great cars, easy buying process, but their follow-up and customer service need serious improvement. If I don't get my tags soon, I'll have to take legal action.

    So, I bought a 2014

So, I bought a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe sport 2.0T AWD with 67,986 miles and had it delivered. First problem, it came without a registration tag, so I couldn't drive it right away. Finally, 8 days later, I got the registration, put the plates on, and went for a drive. Not even 3 miles in, the check engine light and AWD light came on, and the engine started making weird knocking noises. Had to call for a tow to the Hyundai dealership. They said I needed a whole new engine and since I’m the second owner, the warranty was expired. Luckily, they managed to get Hyundai to replace the engine for free. But then they said the transmission and AWD transfer case were also shot, costing around $6500 to fix. I reached out to Driveway, but that’s where the nightmare began. Their "7 day money back guarantee" was useless since they delayed the registration, and their "limited warranty" was a scam. They claimed there was no warranty and offered me a discount on parts and labor instead. Their website clearly states otherwise. In the end, I felt completely deceived by Driveway’s false promises and misleading advertisements.

    So, I found the exact

So, I found the exact car I’ve been hunting for at a good price. The dealership got me approved with their bank and we started the shipping process. They needed an insurance quote to confirm the car’s availability. When I sent the quote, the sales rep and manager argued it wasn't a quote until they finally realized it was legit. Then they asked for a $500 down payment to show I was serious, even though I’d already done a credit application and provided all my documents. I really wanted the car, so I paid. The next day, they said the car was available and they were getting it ready for shipment, just needed to replace the battery. I waited all day Thursday and didn’t hear back. I texted my sales rep, who said they were still waiting for the battery. Friday, same story. I waited through the weekend and Monday, thinking I might be getting scammed. On Tuesday morning, my sales rep called to say the car had been sold over the weekend. She apologized, but it didn’t help. I wasted almost a week and some money only for them to sell the car to someone else. What a mess!

    I was really excited

So I was really excited about getting a car from Driveway. Their online vehicle selection is amazing, and the people I've talked to there have been super helpful. But honestly, there’s just too many people involved in the process, and it makes things way slower. I put down my $500 deposit on February 7, 2025, and was told that the faster I got my stuff done, the faster I'd get my car. The first hiccup was the signing process. They don’t use DocuSign, which is a bummer. I had to spend my lunch break getting documents notarized and sent back within 24 hours. I also wired the rest of my down payment the same day. By February 12, everything was processed. Great, right? Well, it’s been 11 days and my car hasn't even left the dealership yet. But guess what? I already got my first bill. I might not even have the car before the payment's due! I was hoping to have the car for a birthday road trip, but now I might need to cancel. Driveway could be awesome for people who can’t get to a dealership, but they really need to speed things up.

    I found my dream truck

After a long search, I found my dream truck, a Ram 1500 Laramie, on Driveway.com. The dealership was three hours away, so buying online seemed perfect. Started the process on 12/9/24 and it was smooth initially. Got contacted quickly, filled out the electronic paperwork, and put down a $500 deposit. Sent all the necessary documents and my down payment by 12/11. Added the truck to my insurance by 12/12 and got confirmation everything was received by 12/13. Then, silence for five days. Finally, on 12/18, I was told to sign another form, adding more days. The shipping company said delivery on 12/21, so I took off work. Then Driveway.com said 12/23. The truck arrived on 12/23, not 12/21, without temporary registration or plates. Now it’s 12/29, and I still can't drive it legally. No response from customer service. My 7-day money-back guarantee is almost up. This needs fixing ASAP or I’ll consider legal action. Frustrating experience.

    I decided to give Driveway

I decided to give Driveway a shot for buying a car, and it turned into a bit of a mess. From the start, things were off. My sales associate told me I wouldn’t have to pay return shipping if the car wasn't as described. I believed that, but it wasn't true. They never even showed me the 7-Day money-back guarantee form, which explained I'd be on the hook for all shipping costs if I returned the car. When I tried to return it, they suddenly "found" this form. To make things worse, my car had dents and stains, even though it was supposed to be Certified Pre-owned. I asked for photos beforehand, but I guess my request got ignored. Their return associate claimed the dealership wouldn’t fix major issues, but when I called the dealership myself, they were ready to help. So, I felt stuck with a car that wasn't what I expected. Dealing with Driveway has been exhausting, and I’m curious how they'll handle my complaints—hopefully not with more excuses.

    So, imagine this: my partner

So, imagine this: my partner and I decided to snag a 2018 Mazda CX-5 from Driveway.com. The purchase and delivery were smooth sailing, but once the car arrived, it started smoking like a chimney from the engine. Alarm bells ringing, we took some videos for evidence and headed straight to a mechanic the next day. Turns out, the head gasket was blown, and a new engine was the only fix. We reached out to Driveway, expecting some resolution within the 7-day return window, and requested a refund for the shipping since the car was unsafe. But then the dealership, DCH Academy Honda, claimed it was just "residual oil" from a previous fix. Our mechanic disagreed, saying it was a cover-up for a more serious problem. Now, Driveway’s gone radio silent on us. We're pushing for a full refund and might have to escalate this further. This isn’t how buying a car should go!

Selling my car was quite the journey

Man, selling my car with Driveway was quite the journey. If you're in no hurry and can afford to wait, they offer pretty solid prices. But, keep in mind, they don't operate on weekends which slows things down. It took five days just to get the overnight mail, and I got it on a Wednesday. Sent it back right away, signed all the necessary documents. Called on Thursday and Friday, only to be reminded they don't work Saturdays. So, had to wait till Monday for them to pick up my car. When the valets finally showed up, they inspected the car but forgot the check! Had to reschedule, which was frustrating. After waiting for hours and calling back and forth to Oregon, someone finally sorted things out. They arrived again, but only let me know 20 minutes before. If you got patience and time, Driveway’s worth it for the price, just be ready for a bit of a wait!

    Navigating this car buying process

Navigating this car buying process was a real nightmare. As someone who's pretty comfortable with tech, I didn't expect it to be so difficult. The customer service was practically non-existent, and my assigned agent seemed to lack experience. Important details, like the fact I had only three tries to make the downpayment before being locked out, weren't communicated. It was frustrating figuring out on my own that I needed to adjust my bank's purchase limit. Reaching out to my agent, John Capers, was futile—he ignored my messages for days. I noticed discrepancies in the paperwork, which was a huge red flag. Despite trying to cancel due to these trust issues, they continued processing my order. The lack of communication was astounding, and the $999 fee felt like a slap in the face for such poor service. I'll stick to traditional dealerships from now on.

I thought I found a great deal on a car, but it turned out to be a nightmare. The sales reps were super responsive before I bought the car, answering all my questions quickly. But right after the purchase, it was like they disappeared. The car showed up with a broken horn, which I found out when I almost got sideswiped and couldn’t honk. Pretty scary. Plus, the back door hinge was bent, the driver side window barely rolled up, and there were burn marks on the dashboard that weren't shown in the pictures. The TPMS warning light was on too. None of these issues were mentioned beforehand. Tried to return the car within their 7-day return policy but got the runaround for days. By the time they got back to me, they said it was too late to return it. This company really just wants to make a sale and then they leave you hanging. Stay away from them.

My husband finally found his dream truck on November 16th after a bad accident totaled his old one. Buying it and getting it delivered was super smooth and quick – we had it by November 25th. But since then, it's been a mess. We still don't have our registration or plates. Every day I call, explain the same story, and get told they're short-staffed but promise to fix it. A week goes by, and still nothing. They keep saying there are delays, but no one seems to be in a hurry to help. Our first payment is due January 3rd, and we haven’t even driven the truck! I even had to contact the third-party DMV processor myself to get any answers. We've bought from Carvana twice before without any issues, but this time has been a nightmare. Really hoping for a Christmas miracle to get our plates and registration soon!

    Awful experience

I recently had an experience with Hamilton Honda in New Jersey through driveway.com, and it was quite an ordeal. I had a 2012 Lexus RX350 shipped to Kentucky, excited to check it out. When it arrived, I took it to a local garage for a $42 inspection. They found a major timing cover leak that requires the whole engine to be removed, with repairs costing around $5,000 according to my local Lexus dealership. I reached out to driveway.com, hoping they'd help, but they dismissed it as "regular maintenance." I was shocked! They wouldn't cover any costs or even acknowledge the issue. I ended up paying $836 to ship the car back. The whole process was a frustrating waste of time and money. Be cautious with driveway.com and Hamilton Honda; they left me with a costly problem and no support.

    I tried selling my car

I tried selling my car through Driveway, thinking it would be a smooth process. I accepted an offer for $7,800, uploaded all the required documents, and even spoke to an agent about my situation—my mom being on the title and living in another state. They said it was fine. But two days later, the agent told me my offer was actually $6,350. I was confused and sent her a screenshot of the $7,800 email, but she insisted that offer had expired. I never got any previous offers, so I was baffled. The agent said the deal expired because I didn't submit everything on time, even though I did. Later, they refused the sale altogether, citing issues with the title and dents I'd already disclosed. It felt like they were just making excuses. I wouldn't recommend Driveway; it seemed really shady.

    When I snagged a 2023

When I snagged a 2023 Ford Expedition Max from Driveway, I thought I hit the jackpot. But when the car rolled in, it had a surprise waiting for me— a messed-up third-row seat that wasn't mentioned anywhere. I was pretty upset and even thought about returning it. Driveway promised they'd handle it, so I hung onto the car, hoping for the best. Big mistake. After countless trips to the dealership and endless back-and-forth, they finally told me they wouldn't cover the repair because it was "too expensive." Seriously? This isn't just frustrating; it’s downright unfair. I shelled out good money for this car, and they never even mentioned this issue. Driveway’s empty promises and lack of responsibility are a major red flag. If you're thinking about buying from them, think twice.
