So, there were some problems with the car after I got it, and I contacted customer service. Kasandra from the post-delivery customer satisfaction department answered my call. She's a nice lady who always responds quickly with patience and respect. I sent her the diagnostic, and then she sent me a refund check very quickly through UPS overnight. So, even though the car had some small issues that took extra energy, overall, it was a pretty good purchase experience.

Dealing with Driveway.com was an absolute mess. A multitude of people bombarded me throughout the sale, each lacking basic courtesy. The promised truck delivery with a temp-tag never happened, despite written assurances. The lack of coordination between Driveway and the dealership was painfully evident, leading to unnecessary stress. Even after E-signing a purchase and sales agreement, the crucial signatures from Driveway or the dealership are still missing, leaving me unable to prove ownership to the Town Clerk. Opting for a direct purchase from the dealership would have spared me this chaotic experience.

My husband's attempt to buy a vehicle from this company has been frustratingly unresponsive. Despite their stated contact hours from 5 am to 9 pm Pacific time, a call revealed conflicting closing times of 6 pm. Consistency matters. This inconsistency, coupled with a $1,300 price difference from the dealership's website, raises concerns about their reliability. Such behavior is unacceptable for a company aiming for longevity in the business. We're contemplating withdrawing from the deal due to this disappointing experience.

Expressing concerns about the car's history, Miguel at All American Chevrolet proved most knowledgeable. The SUV's delivery took longer than expected, and communication regarding a broken mirror during transit was unclear. Cheyenne, the concierge, was patient but lacked complete details. Dawn in finance was helpful, yet questions remain about temporary title and plates for Michigan. Despite uncertainties, the car arrived in excellent condition, and I'm pleased with it.

This service undervalued my truck, offering only $300 as a trade-in at three different dealerships. To add insult to injury, the dealerships offered me $5,600, exposing the significant disparity. It's absurd to offer a mere $300 for a Cummins Turbo Diesel when other dealerships are valuing it around $5,000. This experience has left me with the impression that this service is taking advantage of people. I've already shared my dissatisfaction with approximately four million people to warn them about this questionable practice.

Driveway has not delivered

Driveway has not delivered on its promise for registration and plates. On Sept 13th, I received a message from Driveway stating that "the ETA for the plates is 4-5 weeks as of 9/12/2023." On Oct 20th, I was told that I "should be receiving your plates and registration by next week sometime!" On Nov 2, another message from Driveway mentioned that "the ETA provided was 4-5 weeks for plates and registration." My temporary tags are expiring on Nov 21st, and I can't renew them anymore (max 3 months). I've informed Driveway that I need the plates urgently, and they've had 3 months to handle this. Now they are not responding, and after Nov 21st, I'll have a car that I can't drive. Driveway promised to refund my temporary tag fees, but they have only refunded 1 out of 3. To qualify for the used electric car vehicle tax credit, the dealer must submit a form to the purchaser and the IRS at the time of the sale. I've asked Driveway multiple times to send me this information, but they still haven't. This amounts to $4,000, which is not a small sum.

Shoutout to the Driveway

Shoutout to the Driveway team for making our experience a smooth ride! Soon after our van was delivered, we hit a bump with some unexpected mechanical issues. But Jake from their customer service crew came to the rescue. He was a real star, keeping us in the loop throughout the entire repair process. It was a breeze to reach him, and he was lightning-fast with his responses.

I was about to give this review a full five stars, but then Driveway went and sent the check for my payoff to the wrong bank. It actually had me thinking about giving them even fewer stars – a real hassle, you know? My lender was blowing up my phone about payments for a truck I didn't even have anymore. But, I gotta hand it to Chris Savage in customer service. This guy was a real hero. He jumped into action, making calls and sending emails to my lender pronto. He even got on the phone with my lender to explain that it was Driveway's mistake and the funds would be there ASAP. Chris seriously restored my faith in Driveway, and I'd consider using them again in the future. So, thanks again, Chris!
