    Rented a car from Budget at Miami airport, and boy, what a mess! They sneakily added gas prepayment and unlimited toll charges without even mentioning it. Couldn't see the charges at drop-off 'cause their printer was "down." Only got the gas charge reversed 'cause we returned it full, thanks for that, I guess. Took forever to get a car—first one was empty, second was double-booked with another family already inside, and had to wait 20 minutes for the third 'cause they were out of cars. Total headache. Watch out for hidden fees, folks!

    Not worth the hassle!

    I rented a small car from Budget at Munich Airport, seemed like a good deal at first. When I returned it after 4 days, everything seemed fine. But then this super picky inspector found a tiny dent on the body. They slapped me with a £1075 excess charge, which I doubt they'll even fix, and it won't change the car's value at all. Thankfully, I had excess cover with Questor Insurance, who took care of the whole cost quickly and efficiently. Budget, though? Never again. From now on, I'm sticking with cheaper options. Not worth the hassle!

    Never renting again

    I rented a car from Budget recently, but it turned into a nightmare. Three weeks after I returned the car, I noticed a $450 charge on my credit card for a cleaning fee. They didn't even bother to notify me. The car was dirty when I picked it up, and I actually cleaned it myself before returning it because it was so bad. I spent time vacuuming and wiping it down, so there’s no way it deserved that fee. This whole experience has been super frustrating. I’m definitely never renting from Budget again and I’d suggest others avoid them too.

    When I showed up to pick up the 9-seater van I booked, they only had a 7-seater available. Not great when you’ve got a bunch of people and a load of luggage. We were squished, and it made the trip a hassle from the start. The staff wasn’t helpful at all; they acted like it wasn’t their problem. Then they charged me more for the smaller car, plus extra fees that were never mentioned before. Tried reaching out to sort it, but no one bothered to respond. It was a mess and left me pretty frustrated. Definitely not going back there again.

    I had a terrible time with Budget Car in Innsbruck. When I got to the counter, they made me pay an extra €350 even though I had already paid in advance. Nobody mentioned this extra fee before. They even said I booked from California, but I'm from the Netherlands! And trying to reach their customer service was a nightmare. No one answered my calls or emails, so I was stuck with these unexpected charges and no help. This company feels like a scam. Do yourself a favor and go with a more reliable rental service to avoid all this hassle.

    I had a terrible time

    I had a terrible time with Budget at Lanzarote airport. First off, the pickup location was actually 3.6 kms away from the terminal, even though they claimed it was in-terminal. That was just the beginning. They also added extra insurance to my bill without my consent, and it cost me €170! I only noticed after the booking, and now they refuse to refund me. I've asked multiple times, but they keep denying my requests. Now, I'm stuck having to take legal action. This experience has been a nightmare, and I will never use Budget again.

    Rented a car from Budget at the Orange County Airport, Newport Beach. Picked it up, drove 17 miles to my hotel. Next day, I noticed the gas tank was only half full, even though my paperwork said it was full. So frustrating, had to pay for gas I didn't use. When I returned the car, I filled the tank just 4 miles from the return spot, but they still charged me for a whole gallon at $9.99. Reached out to customer service, and they only refunded me $11. Ended up losing $40 in total. Not a great experience, feel like I got ripped off.

    So frustrated with this company - I’d steer clear if I were you! They canceled my rental with barely any notice, claiming they didn't have enough cars. Instead of a quick apology and automatic refund, they made me email their customer care team to 'request' a refund. Seriously? They're the ones who canceled! After countless emails and weeks of waiting, I've heard nothing back. No refund, no response. It's like talking to a brick wall. Completely unprofessional and rude. Save yourself the headache and avoid this mess of a company.

    I rented a car from this company and unfortunately had a car accident on a Friday night. I needed a letter from them to retrieve my belongings from the impound lot on Saturday, but they flat-out refused. Fast forward to the day I'm leaving, they finally write the letter at 10am, just an hour before my flight. Now, they expect me to pay for shipping and handling to get my stuff back. The timing was terrible and the added expense just feels unfair. Not the best experience overall, and I’m pretty disappointed with their service.

    So frustrating! Dropped my car off, thinking everything was good. No charges, right? Wrong. They sneakily took $300 from my account. Now, they’re totally ignoring my emails and requests for an invoice. All I want is a simple breakdown of what this charge is for. Tolls in Orlando were suspended after the storm, so what am I paying for? And if they can't even tell me, it feels like fraud. This experience has been a nightmare, and I'm disputing the charge with my credit card. This is just wrong. Avoid these guys if you can.

    Customer service was just terrible

    Rented a car in Pennsylvania for my travel job back in July 2024. The gas tank cover was broken when I got it, but it was noted in the paperwork and I snapped a few pics. Fast forward a bit, and I get a letter from Budget/Sedgwick saying I owe $178.13 for repairs to that same gas cover. They even suggested I could pay directly or go through my insurance. Seriously? It was just a $15 fix! Called them up and let them know I wasn't having it. Told them I won't pay or rent from them again. Customer service was just terrible.

    Rented a car for my trip and it was a total mess. Arrived at 8am for pick-up and the place was closed. Employees showed up late, acting like it was no big deal. The customer service was a joke—rude and unhelpful. They just tossed a bunch of keys on the desk and rummaged through them to find my car. Couldn't believe what I was seeing.     I rented a car in Atlanta for the weekend and booked it 3 months ago. Got an email confirming it, so I thought everything was cool. But when I got to the Car Center at the airport, the guy in the garage said they were out of cars. He didn't even try to help. Tried calling Budget, no response. I've rented from them before but this was just awful. Ended up using Uber to get to my hotel and rented a car from Enterprise instead. Definitely not worth any savings if they can't even provide a car. Super frustrating experience.

    Definitely not worth the hassle.

    I rented a car from Budget, and let me tell ya, it was a disaster. Two days in, the number plate just disappeared - didn't even notice when it fell off! When I told them it must’ve been fixed poorly, they still insisted I go to the police, file a report, and get a new plate. Wasted an entire day of my holiday. By some stroke of luck, someone found the plate a mile away and returned it. The screws holding it were tiny and worn out. To top it off, the car was ancient with a broken bulb. Definitely not worth the hassle.

    I recently rented a car

    I recently rented a car and it turned into a total mess. Picked up the car and it had scratches and dents everywhere, none of which were mentioned in the paperwork. Told the agent, and he just told me to take a picture. Did that, but now they’re trying to charge me £2500 for the damage! They won't even accept my video proof. Feels like they send out damaged cars and then blame the customer to make extra cash. It's a sneaky way to scam people. Definitely steer clear of this company. They’re just out to get your money.

    I had a nightmare dropping

    I had a nightmare dropping off my rental car at London City Airport. The self-service machine was out of order, and the entire airport was closed. With no staff around, I had to leave the keys with an airport cleaner. There were no instructions, no contact number, and not even a proper email for assistance. The app was useless too. Now, I've been hit with a 129% penalty because I couldn't follow their non-existent process. The whole experience was incredibly stressful and cost me a fortune. Absolutely unacceptable.

    I booked a car through Booking.com to pick up from Budget at Catania airport. We got it all sorted, but when we brought it back, the bill was way higher than what we expected. Reached out to Booking.com, and they said it was because we picked up the car earlier than scheduled. Budget claims we took the car at 07:17, but that’s impossible since our flight from Luton didn’t even depart until 07:35. How does that make any sense? This whole situation feels like a scam. Definitely not going through this hassle again.

    I booked a full-size truck months ahead, but when I showed up, they handed me a mid-size SUV instead. The windshield looked like it had been replaced, and it was all distorted.     We had an absolute nightmare

    We had an absolute nightmare with Budget. Just six hours before we were supposed to get our car, they canceled our reservation. During the holiday period, no less! We were left high and dry, completely stranded without the vehicle we needed for our trip. It's beyond frustrating and honestly, an apology doesn't even come close to making up for it. Can't believe how unreliable they turned out to be. Now we’re scrambling to figure out our plans. Feels like they don’t care about their customers at all.

    Man, I totally get why

    Man, I totally get why the reviews for this company are so bad. I rented a car, paid upfront, and agreed to a $250 deposit. They said the insurance fee for the second driver would come out of that deposit. But guess what? That was a complete lie. They're holding onto $500.40 with zero explanation. I feel so ripped off. This company is totally shady, and I regret renting from them. It's like they're trying to scam people out of their money. Be super careful if you decide to rent from these crooks!

    Just had the worst car

    Just had the worst car rental experience ever. Booked a car recently and ended up paying double due to hidden fees.     I recently rented from Budget and it was a disaster. The car was filthy, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. I tried calling customer service, but nobody seemed to care or help. In person, it was even worse, the staff were rude and uninterested. It felt like they didn't want my business at all. Renting a car shouldn't be this stressful. I'm definitely not giving them any more of my money, it's just not worth the hassle. This was by far the worst rental experience I've ever had.

    Man, what a mess. I was on a work trip for the military and my flight had some maintenance hiccup, making me miss my connecting flight. Because of that, I couldn’t get my rental car from Budget. The kicker? They charged me 75% of the cost just to cancel the reservation, even though I booked it only 8 hours before. Total waste of cash.
