    Flying with Delta was a

Flying with Delta was a nightmare. My wife, infant, and I booked our trip for February 2025, but it was trouble from the start. In Miami, we missed our connection to Orlando because of delays with Delta's partner, LATAM, and those crazy long immigration lines. Delta staff just shrugged us off, telling us to deal with LATAM ourselves. We were stuck for hours, no food, nowhere to rest, and a baby in tow. On our way back from New York to São Paulo, they messed up again. Our baby’s bassinet seat was gone, so we had to hold him all night. Complaining to Delta was pointless. They dodged responsibility and acted like they couldn't care less. Filed a complaint, and that’s it for me—never flying Delta again.

    Flying from Inchon to Pensacola,

Flying from Inchon to Pensacola, I thought it would be smooth, but oh boy, surprises awaited. Korea was a breeze, but hitting Atlanta, we suddenly had no pilot for our next flight. No WiFi either, so I had to find a phone to let my son know we'd be late. The return was even crazier. Pensacola had three flights to Atlanta, one broke down right at the gate. People were all over the place, trying to figure out where to go. We left about 30 minutes late. In Atlanta, we were at gate F-5, only to be shuffled to F-6 last minute. They found a plane in a hangar, but it needed cleaning. Finally, we took off two hours late, flying straight into a storm. Not quite the Delta experience I remember from years ago.

    What a letdown!

Wow, what a letdown! I used to think Delta was top-notch based on my past travels between Athens and Detroit. After not flying with them for 4 years, I decided to give them another shot for my trip to Detroit and New York. Big mistake. The whole experience was just bad. They served only two meals for a super long flight, and both were disappointing—except maybe the breakfast. The main meal was almost inedible. The check-in process at JFK was chaotic and painfully slow, a total nightmare. Flight attendants seemed like they didn’t care at all, very unprofessional. Even the seats in economy felt more cramped than I remember. Delta really needs to step up their game and get back to their old standards.

    I recently flew with Delta

I recently flew with Delta from Orlando to Amsterdam and had a terrible time. I needed assistance due to my disability, but they ignored my requests throughout the flight. The so-called "accessible" process was a joke—complicated and ineffective. I felt really let down and discriminated against. Tried to raise my concerns with their customer care supervisor, Jacob Costillo, but he just brushed me off with generic responses and closed my complaint without resolving anything. I’ve even taken my complaint to the U.S. Department of Transportation. If you have any special needs, I'd seriously think twice before flying with Delta. They clearly don’t care about accommodating passengers with disabilities.

    Flying with Delta Airlines from

Flying with Delta Airlines from Amsterdam on December 4, 2024, was a nightmare. My flight DL049 was delayed nearly 4 hours because of a brake issue. While safety is important, the ground staff's handling of it was awful. We didn't get meal vouchers or any compensation, nothing. For such a long delay, you'd expect better treatment, right? When I finally got to the ticket check, a Delta employee asked me if I was in a hurry. Seriously? After waiting for hours? It felt like a slap in the face. Totally unprofessional and rude. Delta’s service during this delay was just bad. I hope they fix these problems fast. I wouldn’t recommend flying with them if this is how they treat their passengers.

    Awfull!

Okay, so imagine this: I'm at the airport, ready for my flight, and I’ve got my trusty carry-on bag. Perfectly sized, just like always. But guess what happens? The staff insists I check it in. I'm thinking, "Wait, what?" because I see other passengers strolling by with their bags. Frustrated but complying, I take my laptop out to carry it separately. Finally, I get on the plane, and surprise! The flight attendants casually mention there’s loads of space left. The flight wasn’t even full! All this hassle, and for what? Delta, Burbank, it really felt like you weren’t looking out for us. Seriously need to fix these communication issues—it’s just not fair to loyal customers like me.

    I had the worst experience

I had the worst experience with Delta recently. They somehow managed to wreck my brand new suitcase, causing over $8,000 in damages. When I approached them for compensation, they flat out refused to replace my suitcase or any of its contents, even though they’re legally supposed to compensate up to $3,800 per passenger. First, they offered me a measly $200, but then backtracked, claiming my suitcase was over the weight limit. Funny thing is, they couldn’t even tell me the brand or weight limit of my suitcase! I ended up filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission, but Delta denied everything. The whole situation was just a nightmare.

    Booked a ticket with Delta

Booked a ticket with Delta recently and paid an extra $130 to pick our seats. But guess what? The seats didn't show up when I checked later. Tried to reselect and they wanted another $40+ per leg. Contacted customer service, waited over an hour to get through. When someone finally answered, the rep was super rude. She kept cutting me off while I was explaining the problem. My wife was giving her dad's birth date for his ticket, and the agent rudely asked why she could hear two voices, then just hung up on us. This is not okay. Delta really needs to improve their customer service and train their staff better. The whole experience was so frustrating and disappointing.

    I recently flew with China

I recently flew with China Eastern and claimed SkyMiles credit, but Delta messed up calculating the miles based on the wrong fare class. I reached out to complain, and their response was incredibly rude. They just closed my case without even trying to solve the issue. They told me to check with the travel agency about the fare basis, but I had already done that. My ticket had a fare basis of B, which was confirmed by both China Eastern and the travel agency. My husband, who bought his tickets through the same agency, got the correct miles based on class B. This is so frustrating and unfair. I’ll never reach the status I want now. Delta’s customer service is a joke.

I had a really frustrating experience with Delta recently. My flight got cancelled without any given reason. I was chatting with a Delta rep who told me not to worry, my expenses would be covered. Once I got home, I submitted my reimbursement request, only to get a notice saying it was denied because the flight was cancelled due to weather. I called Delta and explained that we were never told the reason and had been assured of reimbursement. The rep just said they updated the cancellation reason to weather and "accidents happen," so no reimbursement for me. Now I'm out hundreds of dollars. Honestly, this was a terrible experience and even worse customer service.

    It's just a mess

I wish I could give zero stars! It's a nightmare. They sell more tickets than seats, leaving families split up and stranded at the airport without any heads up about the overbooking. You find out when it’s too late, and then you're stuck dealing with customer service that’s beyond terrible. And don't even get me started on the planes—they landed like they were flipping upside down, and it's those unsafe Boeing ones. What happened to making flying a great experience? It's just a mess now. They really need to fix this and start caring about their passengers. Flying shouldn’t feel like rolling the dice on whether you'll get where you're going safely and together!

    I can't believe the ordeal

I can't believe the ordeal I went through with Delta. Stuck on a sweltering plane for over 5 hours with no food, then they deplaned us. Spent a total of 10 hours in the airport, and another 13 stuck at a hotel. I missed a shift at work, losing $187 in wages. After nearly 5 hours of back-and-forth with Customer Service, they offered a measly $100 voucher. As if I'd want to fly with them again after this disaster. Oh, and no SkyMiles for the outbound flight, even though I spent over $1000 on tickets. They also wouldn't give me a transcript of the 5-hour message thread. Mechanical issues are one thing, but their customer service was just awful. What a nightmare.

Flying with Delta was a letdown. We usually go with United or American for our international trips, but thought we'd try Delta this time. Big mistake. They tried to upsell us on a business class upgrade, but the price was just ridiculous. We went for it thinking it might be worth it, but it was just meh, nothing special compared to other airlines' business class. Even though we’re SkyMiles members, it feels like the miles are useless. When we wanted to upgrade our seats on the way back, they had plenty of empty seats but wouldn’t let us. Seriously, if you want an airline that’s flexible and doesn't overcharge for upgrades, you might wanna skip Delta.

    Flying from Atlanta to Orlando

Flying from Atlanta to Orlando turned into a nightmare. My flight was delayed for a whopping 8 hours, and all I got was vague explanations about "weather saturation" and air traffic control issues. We boarded the plane, taxied for what felt like forever, and then got told we couldn't fly. Seriously? We had to wait around until they found an off-duty Captain to rescue us. The whole experience was beyond frustrating and so disorganized. I can't believe they handled it this way. Flying shouldn't be this chaotic, and passengers deserve better communication and solutions when things go wrong. This experience left me feeling exhausted and really disappointed.

    I tried booking a flight

I tried booking a flight with Delta on June 13th, paying €655.16 through Revolut. The payment was processed, but I never got a ticket or any confirmation email. It's been days, and I'm still waiting. I reached out to Delta's customer service through every channel I could think of – phone, social media, online forms – but no one has helped or taken any responsibility. Meanwhile, the flight price has climbed by over €100, and I feel stuck with no ticket and my money in limbo. For such a big airline, this is a major letdown. I've lost both time and money, and I’m starting to lose trust too. Be cautious if you’re thinking of booking directly with Delta.

Every time I book a flight with them, it feels like a rollercoaster ride. They promise these amazing deals, and then, bam, out of nowhere, my flight gets shifted by over 6 hours. It’s happened more times than I can count, and it’s beyond frustrating. And don’t even get me started on their boarding process. With 12 different levels, it’s like a chaotic game where everyone's just trying to figure out when they can actually get on the plane. Plus, they always seem to oversell the flights. It’s like a circus, with staff practically begging people to give up their seats. You’d think they’d have it figured out by now, but nope, same old story every time.

Honestly, Delta, you gotta step up your game

Hey folks, so picture this: I’m all set for my business trip, ticket in hand, feeling all fancy with my Business Class seat on Delta. But then, chaos unfolds. My flight gets delayed again and again, and just when I thought it couldn't get worse, they cancel it without a peep. Not a single staff member seemed to know what was going on or why. Next morning, I'm stuck in an Economy seat, squished in 18C, even though I shelled out for Business. No apologies, no compensation. Felt like a slap in the face for someone who's flown Business with them for years. Honestly, Delta, you gotta step up your game. This isn’t how you treat loyal customers!

I bought a ticket from ASAP, and the next day I needed to change the flight date. I called Delta Airlines, and Mike, a guy with an Indian accent from New Jersey, answered. He said my ticket was canceled and I needed to buy a new one, but promised I'd get a refund in a few weeks. This was on October 27, 2024. Weeks passed, no refund. Every time I called, they said Mike wasn’t available and to call back later. Last night, they just ignored me and denied everything. My flight was a nightmare too—no seat assignment, stuck in the last row, no space for my carry-on, and my luggage got lost. This agency is a total scam, charging me three times!

Man, let me tell you about this disaster. I booked a flight, expecting a smooth trip, but boy was I wrong. They kept us in the dark about delays for hours. They knew ahead of time but didn’t bother to inform anyone until the last minute, just to dodge refunds, I guess. We were stuck at the airport for over 10 hours, and they didn’t even offer us a sip of water or a snack. Ridiculous, right? Trying to reach customer service was a joke. I waited almost three hours on hold, only for the call time to reset. They didn’t even try to explain or help us out. Honestly, this airline is a complete letdown. Delta, you really messed up big time.

I booked an international flight with Delta for my granddaughter, and had to change part of it today. They charged me an extra $209.78, so I tried to pay with my AmEx Delta Skymiles card. But, when I got the verification text, it said the transaction was for $8,127.80! I called Delta and they said there'd be a 53-minute wait, so I called AmEx. They said the transaction wasn't showing up and to stop it. I tried again with my Skymiles Silver card and got the same crazy amount. Finally, I used my American Airlines card and it worked fine. Just a heads up – always read those verification texts. It might save you from a huge mistake!

I used to swear by Delta Airlines, they were my go-to for every trip. Lately though, things have really gone downhill. The flight attendants? Not friendly at all anymore. And don’t get me started on their upgrade policy. It's a joke now, especially if you’re loyal and spend a lot using American Express. Feels like they couldn’t care less about us regular travelers. It’s like they don’t even want to acknowledge us. Honestly, it’s a golden opportunity for other airlines to step up and win over some of Delta’s customers. If Delta keeps this up, it’s not gonna end well for them. And the worst part? They don’t seem to care at all.

I had a flight to Miami with Delta, initially scheduled for 8:00 but they moved it to 7:00 a month before. Got to the airport on time, ready to go. Then, 30 minutes before boarding, they delayed the flight by 2 hours. There were no weather issues in New York or Miami. No explanations given, and nobody around to talk to. They could have texted us in the morning to let us know about the delay. It's frustrating that Delta seems clueless about what's happening with their own flights and can't inform their customers properly. They treated us with zero respect. Delta is unprofessional and rude. I won't be flying with them again.

So, I tried reaching out to them in the UK, but it was like shouting into the void. Their chat wasn’t working, and I couldn’t get through on the phone. Flying back to LA from Cancun was a bit of a letdown. The ticket was pricier than Alaska or Aeromexico, and the service didn't match up. There were no meals during meal times, which was a bummer. Plus, other airlines offer free WiFi, but not this one. The worst part? They randomly searched bags at the gate. It felt off that only solo travelers and minorities were picked. I got stern looks and was asked to open my bag and even take off my shoes. Super slow and awkward with everyone watching. Also, when I asked about drinks or food, I was told to check the menu, but they didn’t even have almonds. Not flying with them again.

During the holiday season, when airports are already super busy, this is just unacceptable. This airline is one of the reasons why travel is such a hassle. Flying with Delta from Boston

Flying with Delta from Boston to Columbus, GA was quite the adventure. First, the Boston flight kept getting pushed back, and then, once in Atlanta, I discovered my next flight was a whopping 6-hour wait. Decided to Lyft home and let my checked bag continue to Columbus. But then, the saga began. They said they'd deliver my bag, but it never came. After chasing them down, they switched gears, saying I'd need to pick it up—except they never bothered to inform me. My bag was chilling in an Atlanta warehouse, and I was promised an email in 48-72 hours that never arrived. Called them again, and still no bag. Frustrating!

    Never flying Delta again

I recently took three Delta flights in just two days, and honestly, it was a disaster. Every single flight got delayed by 1-3 hours. The last flight to Sydney not only got delayed but ended up being cancelled. I've been with JetBlue for years without a single problem. This time, I decided to use my Amex Delta Skymiles card and book with Delta, and I'm really regretting it now. How does every flight get delayed? Now I'm stuck in LA, waiting in a super long line to rebook with everyone else. It's exhausting and the worst experience I've ever had. I'm definitely cancelling my Amex Delta card. Never flying Delta again.

I've been a loyal customer of Virgin and Delta for years, flying countless times. Usually, Delta has been pretty good at sorting out any issues that came up. But lately, since 2026, their customer service has really gone downhill. The staff don't seem to care much about helping out anymore, and they seriously lack common sense. I often go out of my way, taking worse flights or indirect routes just to stick with one airline, but Delta's making me rethink that. Their once-reliable service and knowledgeable staff seem to be a thing of the past. It's like they don't value loyalty anymore, and it's pretty frustrating.

My recent long haul flight was a disaster. First, my suitcase went missing, which was already a nightmare. But the worst part came when I tried to raise the issue with customer service. They just brushed me off and didn't seem to care at all. It really spoiled the start of my vacation, especially considering how much we spent on it. I can't believe Virgin partners with them. On the bright side, British Airways just gained a loyal customer, because I'll be flying with them from now on. Flying with Delta was quite the ordeal. Our journey started with a frustrating 3-hour delay on our first flight, messing up all our plans. When we finally got rebooked for the connecting flight, we ended up stuck in the very back of the plane. It was freezing cold and super loud back there, making the 7-hour flight feel endless. Every time someone walked by or opened an overhead bin, it felt like the whole plane shook. It was uncomfortable and just not what we expected.
