My confirmation clearly stated 'premium economy' from Travelo1. Shockingly, Delta denied offering premium economy on that flight, even though I paid for it! Their excuse? A 'new employee error.' They brushed off responsibility and suggested I dispute it with my card company. Don't fall into the same trap—know before you go! Avoid Delta's misleading practices and ensure your flight matches what you paid for.

Bait and Switch SCAM

I needed to book a flight and used them to find a flight. I paid them. Then I got a call saying that my return flight was no longer available and oh I couldnt have any personal items. I asked if I could pay extra for a bag and they said no.. (that was a lie) I ended up paying 2x the amount for a flight with a different carrier. I was told I would not get my initial payment back ($250). Thus, I felt pressured and bullied to go ahead and book what they were offering because otherwise I would be out $250 and still need to get airfare. I let Mary know that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB as this was a bait and switch scam. This is after I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told no. I was told I could only speak with Mary. I went ahead and filed the complaint with the BBB. I got a call this AM. They screamed at me for filing the complaint. They told me they would cancel my flight if I did not take my complaint back. I told them that the complaint was valid and they are not ethical. She yelled at me that they are cancelling my flight and I would not get a refund then hung up. This is completely unethical and feels illegal. They lied. They pressured and bullied me into booking the flight. They should not be allowed to be in business.

Surprise, surprise – my return tickets are suddenly standby, and they want an extra $1800 for confirmed ones. Tried to cancel, but nope, apparently, it's non-refundable. Went to my credit card company to stop the payment, but they said it had to post first. When I demanded to speak to a supervisor at Travelo1, they shuffled us to another airline with a fare close to what we could've gotten elsewhere. Lost our frequent flyer miles, gotta pay extra for luggage, and can't fly with our extended family. Total travel nightmare!

Oh, the classic bait and switch – steer clear of this company! Tried to cancel, got the runaround, and they had the audacity to call me back late at night to finalize a flight I wanted to cancel. Asked for the Federal Trade Commission number, wanting to report their shady practice of advertising one price, then switching it up to almost double for another flight. Their excuse? "That's just how the industry works." Seriously? Asked again for the FTC number, and guess what? The guy hung up on me. And to top it off, they're still advertising the exact same flights almost 24 hours later. Save yourself the headache and don't waste your time with these folks!

Like many folks writing about Travelo1 scam, I booked flights and entered my credit card info. Within minutes I received emails and phone calls telling me we were eligible for standby only. When asked them to cancel they said they were non-refundable and tried to double the price. I quickly cancelled my card before the charge was processed. A real pain as most of you know. Received no less that 20 more emails and 10 phone calls. I toyed with them a bit which turned into a phone fight with numerous people who barely spoke English! This company should be banned from the internet! Scam!

We called on Friday, and within an hour, we had tickets for almost half the price compared to the united airlines website. Since this was a last-minute family emergency, we were anxious and just wanted to reach our destination as soon as possible. We’re leaving on Monday morning with seats and checked bags all set, thanks to Zack. I value his time, understanding, and patiance (from a once hesitant buyer) after calling him back around 20 times for updates and every question that popped into my head. We’ll be contacting Zach for our future trips and wish him well.

He explained everything clearly, worked with me, and kept in touch all day until everything was sorted out and everyone had their tickets. It was so confusing, but he made it easy and took the stress away. Now we are all on the same flight at a very good price! If you need someone to book your airfare, call Roman.
