On my flight from Florida to LGA yesterday

On my flight from Florida to LGA yesterday, I had a bad experience with a female representative. When my sister couldn’t recall her seat number and mentioned she hadn’t been given one, the representative reacted very harshly. She raised her voice and shouted at my sister, saying, “WHY ARE YOU SITTING THERE?! YOU CAN’T SIT THERE!” This could have been handled in a much calmer manner. My sister paid for the flight, so why was she treated that way? The seat she was sitting in belonged to my mother, who didn’t come, and Delta refused to refund the cost of the seat. The representative didn’t need to speak to my sister so rudely. It felt as if my sister did something really wrong, but all she did was sit in an empty seat. To Delta’s owners, please ensure your staff are polite, even when they’re stressed.

Following the worldwide tech issue, my family

Following the worldwide tech issue, my family ended up stranded in Boston (original flight was Saturday) and didn’t depart until Tuesday. The Tuesday flight from Boston to Minneapolis (with a stopover for Alaska) faced a 1-hour delay due to mechanical issues. On Saturday, I tried to reach Delta and waited on hold for almost 7 hours. Eventually, I went to Logan airport and stood in line for over 2 hours. I was informed that they couldn’t issue a refund, and only Delta could handle that. There was also no effort to find an alternate flight. You sympathize with the staff, but come on Delta, improve in these tough times.

    I was a bit puzzled

I was a bit puzzled by all the negative reviews about Delta. I fly with them a lot—around 6 times a year internationally and even more domestically. My last flight from JFK to LAX to SYD on August 17 had some hiccups. The crew timed out, and we spent 2 hours getting back to the gate because of air traffic. The flight ended up getting canceled, but I wasn’t too surprised. Reading some of the complaints, I feel like many people might not travel as frequently. Sometimes things happen that are out of the airline's control, like security checks or air traffic delays. When the crew times out, I know to call Delta right away and get rebooked. It’s all about being proactive. I’m a Diamond Medallion member, so maybe that helps, but honestly, if you keep an eye out and know what to expect, flying can be a smoother experience. Delta's had its ups and downs, but overall, they’re pretty solid.

Flying with Delta was a game changer for me and my family. We used to deal with unfriendly service and lost bags on other airlines, but Delta was like a breath of fresh air. Right from the start, they kept us updated and check-in was a breeze. Our flight from Atlanta to New York was stress-free, with a clean cabin and a crew that was genuinely friendly and professional. When we arrived in New York, the Delta staff helped us at baggage claim. I thought I'd lost my luggage, but they quickly found it and brought it to me. Even when our return flight had a small delay, Delta kept everyone updated, which was reassuring. The smooth return flight sealed the deal for me. Delta’s all about respect, comfort, and making sure their passengers are happy. They've got a customer for life in me.

    Huge thanks to everyone involved!

I gotta tell you about this wild experience we had with Delta. So, we were flying out of Springfield, MO (SGF) to Atlanta (ATL) for a cruise in Panama. Mid-flight, my husband realizes he left his passport back at the SGF airport. Total panic mode, right? We thought our trip was ruined. But then, the Delta crew in both SGF and ATL totally stepped up. With help from our travel agent, the ATL Delta desk supervisor, and even the Captain of the next flight from SGF, they managed to retrieve his passport and fly it over to ATL. The Captain himself handed it to us when we landed. We were so relieved and grateful! Delta really went the extra mile for us. Huge thanks to everyone involved!

Delta's service was honestly a breath of fresh air

You know, flying can be a real hassle sometimes, right? But my recent experience with Delta at Dublin airport totally turned things around for me. After a nightmare with JetBlue, the Delta staff were like angels. There was this guy, Brian or Paul, who was working the morning shift on the 28th near the check-in desk, and he was just the nicest person. Really helped calm my nerves. The flight itself? Really good! Comfy seats, a fantastic selection of movies, and the snacks were top-notch. I don’t get why people give them low ratings. Maybe they should read the terms and conditions first. Delta's service was honestly a breath of fresh air. Thanks, Delta!

    Flying Delta as a regular

Flying Delta as a regular traveler has been consistently great for me. The flight crew always seems really attentive and friendly. On international trips, I try to book Delta One whenever possible, and it's always a treat. The comfort and service makes the journey enjoyable every time. I’ve never had to worry much about costs when choosing Delta, so I can't say how it is for budget travelers. But from my perspective, the experience has been top-notch. The seats are comfy, and they do a good job of making sure passengers are taken care of. Overall, Delta's service is something I look forward to each time I fly, making every trip more pleasant.

We had a nightmare at Liberia airport in Costa Rica. KLM, who we booked with, changed our flight back to the UK to include a connection in Atlanta. They never told us we’d need an ESTA American Visa for that. At the airport, we applied for the visa but didn’t get it in time. KLM was just awful and refused to help us. We spent 6 hours stuck, trying to figure things out. Then, out of nowhere, a Delta supervisor showed up and worked some magic on his computer. He got us the same tickets for that day without any extra cost. Total lifesaver! Delta’s got my heart now. Big shoutout to them!

Flying with Delta can be a mixed bag, but my recent trip from Denver to CVG was surprisingly pleasant. I know they get a lot of flak when things go south, but this time they nailed it. The crew based out of New York were just fantastic. Despite the usual travel hiccups like weather and plane issues, they really went out of their way to make the experience better. Their genuine care and positive attitude stood out. It's not often you see that level of service. So, hats off to them for making my journey smooth and enjoyable. Definitely worth acknowledging their effort.

As someone who's on the go a lot, I gotta say, Delta's kinda my go-to airline now. Lately, it feels like service everywhere is just tanking, but Delta's still got it. Sure, things aren't always perfect—delays happen, stuff breaks—but they deal with it better than most. Their planes? Way cleaner. And the crew? Super friendly and professional, which is a lifesaver on those long hauls. Delta's bailed me out more times than I can count, really going above and beyond. If you travel a lot like me, these guys are pretty solid and definitely a step ahead of the rest.

Flying can be a real hassle, right? But my recent trip with Delta was surprisingly smooth. I've flown with quite a few airlines, and Delta really stood out. The staff were super friendly, and the food was actually decent, which is not something you can say for most flights. The plane was clean, and the seats were comfortable enough for a long haul. And the WiFi? It was fast and free, which was a nice touch. It's rare to have a flight where everything goes well, but this one did. Delta's definitely earned my trust, and I’d happily fly with them again.

I was in a bit of a panic when I realized my passport was still at the Indiana airport, and I was already in Atlanta, about to board a flight to Punta Cana. Antony and the Delta customer service team in Atlanta were amazing. They coordinated with the Indiana airport staff to get my passport to me just in time for my next flight. I couldn't believe how efficient and helpful everyone was. They really went out of their way to make sure I didn't miss my vacation. Kudos to the Delta team in both Indiana and Atlanta for their outstanding service!

Flying with Delta has been an awesome experience for me. I've been sticking with them for the last 8 years, and they've always been super accommodating, especially when it comes to traveling with my service dog. My recent trip to Africa in Delta One was nothing short of amazing. Plus, whenever I had direct flights across the country, even if the turbulence was too bad for food service, they still gave me a $100 credit on my account. Delta just goes above and beyond every time. I can't see myself flying with anyone else anytime soon!

I took my first trip to the USA in June 2024, visiting a friend in Minneapolis. Flew with Delta Airlines, which was a first for me. Booked economy but switched to Main Cabin last minute—definitely worth it. Signed up for SkyMiles beforehand. Check-in was a breeze and security didn't take long either. The flight itself was pretty pleasant, staff were friendly without being overbearing. All in all, it was a solid experience and I'm happy with how it went.

Flying with them was way better than my last Spirit experience. The board showed a delay, but it was only by a minute, so no big deal. Everything was pretty top-notch, honestly. There was this kid crying behind me, which was annoying, but that's not really the airline's fault. Overall, I'd say it's the best airline for shorter trips—mine was about 9 hours. Flying from JFK to Prague

Flying from JFK to Prague on the Boeing 767 300ER in business class was not what I expected. The seats were too tight, especially when trying to lie flat for some sleep. My back was sore from the hard seats, and the so-called massage feature was useless. Instead of private pods, it was more open seating, which I didn’t prefer. The entertainment system was a letdown too. The monitor was tiny and far away, and I couldn't scroll through the listings. I mentioned it to the staff, and they said they could fix it, but nothing happened. For the money spent, I was hoping for a better experience. Honestly, if you're planning an overnight flight on this Delta plane, think twice. It's not worth the price.

    Traveling with Delta from Brisbane

Traveling with Delta from Brisbane to Las Vegas was a breeze, the crew was fantastic and the service top-notch. But, returning was a whole different story. Due to a cyclone near Brisbane, our flight got canceled and the airport shut down. Totally understandable, but Delta dropped the ball big time. They left us stranded in Los Angeles with no help at all. We had to sort out our own accommodation and taxis, which was a hassle. Eventually, we got rebooked on a flight to Brisbane through Auckland, but we were downgraded from premium economy to basic economy. We've requested a refund, but the main issue was being abandoned in LA without any support. Delta could have handled it better.

    Flying with Delta was alright,

Flying with Delta was alright, but the whole luggage thing was a real drag. You know, you land, and then it's like forever waiting for your bags to show up at the international terminal. We're talking over an hour sometimes, which just messes up any plans to avoid that crazy Atlanta traffic. It's not a one-time thing either; it keeps happening. And another thing, if you're flying out of Dublin, Delta really needs to sort out a lounge inside security and customs. There’s just too many folks traveling to not have a proper spot to chill. Honestly, it’s kind of frustrating when you think about how many passengers they have.

    Mixed experiences

Flying out of Atlanta pretty often, I've had my fair share of experiences with Delta. Their planes, well, they're showing their age. It's not uncommon to see them parked at the gate, dealing with some maintenance problem or another. And yeah, the delays have started feeling like part of the routine. It gets frustrating, you know? Every time I'm at the airport, I'm just hoping for a smooth trip, but it's a bit of a gamble. The whole thing is getting a bit tired. Would be nice to see some newer planes and a bit more reliability. It's just not what I was hoping for when I chose them for my flights.

You know, I generally like flying with this airline. They're usually pretty good, and most of the staff are super helpful. But let me tell you about this one experience at the luggage checkpoint. There was this one employee who really didn't seem to know what she was doing. She told me I had to pay $70 for my luggage, which was already kind of annoying, but then she charged me $132! I mean, what even was that about? No explanation, just a charge that was way higher than it should've been. So, just a heads-up, keep an eye on those charges next time you fly with them.

First, one pilot shows up late, and then we had to wait another 45 minutes for the second pilot. No one even bothered to tell us why we were waiting so long. Honestly, my birthday trip was a rollercoaster. The only bright spot? The Boston crew out of Dallas gave me a little birthday treat, which was sweet. But from there, everything spiraled. In Atlanta, our flight got delayed with zero explanation. I tried to be proactive, told the gate staff I was in zone 8 and really needed to keep my bag to catch my cruise. No luck, they checked it anyway. By the time we landed in Palm Beach, I’d missed the cruise. Ended up scrambling for a hotel and rental car since there were no cheap flights back home. A bit frustrating

Flying Delta was quite the experience—I'll tell you that much. Over four flights, those economy seats proved pretty tough on comfort, really hard to catch any z’s. It was chilly, and when I asked the crew for help, things stayed frosty. Everyone looked like they were bundled for a winter storm! And get this: flight attendants woke passengers just to clear trays. Not exactly the politest approach. They were loud, too, which didn’t help anyone trying to rest. As for punctuality, let’s just say timeliness wasn’t their strong suit. Delays on every flight, with one held up because of cargo loading for nearly an hour. A bit frustrating, but hopefully, they’ll improve things soon.
