    Flying with my service dog

Flying with my service dog has been a nightmare. For months, I've been sending the same paperwork over and over, but they still claim they don't have it. The department that's supposed to handle this doesn’t even take phone calls, so I always end up talking to a random rep who just tells me to submit the documents again. Nobody can tell me when or if my paperwork will ever be approved. And the worst part? Even if I get everything sorted, there's no guarantee they'll actually let me fly with my dog at the airport. This whole experience has been so frustrating. Delta, you seriously need to get your act together.

    It’s just an expensive hassle

You know, flying used to be an adventure, but now it’s just an expensive hassle. Recently, I took a Delta flight and paid a hefty $1000 for a ticket. For that price, you'd expect at least decent service, right? Nope. The plane was cramped, dirty, and the whole experience felt chaotic and unsafe. It’s not just Delta either; it’s like the entire airline industry has lowered its standards. Honestly, I’d rather spend 10 extra hours on a train where I can move around, enjoy some Wi-Fi, and grab a coffee in the cafe car. Flying just isn’t worth the stress anymore. When will we start investing in better train travel?

    I'm really disappointed

So, I was planning this big honeymoon trip and got two Delta tickets, paying the full amount myself. Life took a turn, and after canceling the trip due to a divorce, I asked Delta to transfer the travel credit back to me. Seems simple, right? Nope. They told me only my ex could approve it, even though I paid for everything and we're no longer in touch. Now, I've got airline credit that's basically useless to me. It's frustrating that such a big airline can't show some flexibility or empathy. After flying with Delta for 7 years, I'm really disappointed and will definitely reconsider my future choices with them.

    Terrible airline

I can't believe how terrible this airline is. Checked in at Atlanta and the staff were unbelievably rude. The flight was even worse. They ran out of food and ignored us, even though we pressed the call button like 20 times just for a cup of tea. When they finally showed up, they dragged me to the back of the plane to ask what my problem was. Seriously? Paid for premium economy both ways but ended up in economy because it was "full". How does that even happen? This airline is the worst—completely unprofessional with rude staff who don't care at all. Do yourself a favor and avoid this airline at all costs.

They’ve definitely lost me as a customer

I recently had a pretty bad experience with Delta. I paid $39.99 for each of these so-called "priority seating" spots, expecting either bigger seats, bulkhead, or exit row. But when I boarded, they were just regular seats, nothing special at all. Felt totally scammed. After we landed, I reached out to customer service via text. The rep was super rude and dismissive, basically telling me I chose to buy them, so tough luck. Tried calling customer service too, hoping for better help, but nope, same lousy attitude. I’m shocked Delta allows such poor service. They’ve definitely lost me as a customer.

    Flying from FLL to LAX

Flying from FLL to LAX on November 18, 2024, at 7:40 was a disaster. Delta didn't assign seats until two days before, and there was no room for my carry-on since they overstuffed the bins with other people's luggage. When I spoke to Sergio about it, he was incredibly rude and even threatened to reassign me to another flight. I mentioned I had a business meeting, and he mocked me, repeating "business meeting ahh" to another staff member. It was such a disrespectful experience. After this, I'm done with Delta. I’d rather fly with Spirit, JetBlue, or Frontier than deal with that kind of treatment again.

Man, I'm just baffled by Delta's latest antics. It's like ever since 9/11, airlines tossed good customer service out the window. Seriously, why do I have to take off my shoes at security? Who's ever hidden a weapon in their shoes? I can't recall a single instance. And now, they're harassing folks over silly stuff like T-shirt messages. I get that some words can be offensive, but isn't this America? Aren't we supposed to have freedom of expression? I support everyone's right to free speech, even if I don't like what's being said. Delta, step up your game and make flying pleasant again, for everyone.

Caught an early flight from Boston at 5 AM, so got to the airport at 3 AM. Not a single staff member in sight. By 3:30, they announced we had to switch lines, which was annoying since I was first in line before and now ended up behind a ton of people. An employee then told some of us to drop our bags outside. Got there, but that counter was closed too and only opened at 4 AM. They always say to arrive early for security and warn about last-minute luggage checks, but what's the point if they don't have enough staff to open the counters on time? It was really frustrating and a lousy start to my day.

    I had the worst experience

I had the worst experience with Delta recently. When I was boarding, the flight attendant stopped me at the entrance and said I couldn’t bring my carry-on luggage. I mean, it’s called carry-on for a reason, right? The guy was really rude and didn’t even bother explaining why. I had to go back to the gate and check my bag. When I came back to board again, the same attendant wouldn’t let me in. I ended up missing my flight, and I wasn’t the only one. There were other passengers in the same situation. Honestly, Delta needs to work on their service and attitude. Definitely not flying with them again.

    Terrible customer service

So, I had a bit of a rough experience today with my flight. My bag somehow ended up on a different plane, which was annoying. But what really got to me was the customer service at the baggage area. The staff there were incredibly rude. None of them had name tags, so I couldn't even report the specific person who treated me poorly. I actually snapped a photo of one of them because she was so disrespectful. As a loyal Delta SkyMiles member, I expect much better treatment. The lack of courtesy and attention from the staff was really disappointing. Delta needs to step up their customer service game.

    Avoid at all cost

Flying back to the UK from Atlanta with Delta was quite an adventure. When I landed, my luggage was nowhere to be found. It did show up a few days later, so that was a relief. But my almost-new hard shell suitcase? Total disaster. The dents were so deep, you’d think it was run over by a truck! I tried filing a claim online, but the site kept rejecting the purchase date. No matter what I tried, it just wouldn’t work. So, I decided to file a complaint. I waited the full 14 days for a response, but nothing. I followed up, and still, nothing after another week. Feels like I'm shouting into the void!

Flying with Delta was a complete disaster from start to finish. Our first flight from JFK to PHX was delayed for hours and then canceled, leaving us stranded with my child at JFK. Had to shell out almost $800 for a hotel and transport. The rebooking was a mess too—had to go to Newark, only to face more delays. The layover in Minneapolis was another nightmare with a 4-hour delay. And Delta's idea of compensation? A measly $24. Felt like a slap in the face. Seriously, Delta, you need to do better. After this chaotic experience, I’m definitely looking elsewhere for future travel. What a nightmare!

So, I was at the LGA airport waiting for my flight DL2382 to Miami on 11/29/24. It was around 6:39 pm, and I had a question about the boarding process. I approached the guy at gate 89B, but before I could even ask, he snapped at me with "I’M not ready yet." I tried to ask again, thinking maybe he didn’t hear me right, but he cut me off, repeating the same thing. His tone was super rude and it left me feeling really frustrated. I couldn’t believe a Delta rep would treat passengers like that. I mean, aren’t they supposed to help us? This was just bad customer service and really disappointing.

    Flew from Florida to LGA

Flew from Florida to LGA yesterday and had a pretty upsetting experience. My sister didn't have a seat number and when she asked for help, the rep just snapped at her, yelling about how she shouldn't be sitting there. It was so unnecessary. The seat was actually our mom's, who couldn't make the trip. Delta wouldn't refund the seats either, which was another letdown. I get it, everyone has bad days, but this was just too much. We paid good money for those tickets, and to be treated like that is just not okay. Delta, please train your staff to handle things better, even when they're stressed.

The journey was just too stressful

Flying with Delta was a mess. First, the seat selection didn’t work, so I got stuck at the back of the plane. Then, my layover in Atlanta was just 44 minutes. By the time we landed, boarding for the next flight had already begun. Being at the back meant squeezing through annoyed passengers, and the flight attendants didn’t help at all. We sprinted from terminal B to D, and in the rush, I hurt my back, which ended up spoiling my vacation. The whole experience was a nightmare. After all this chaos and discomfort, I don't plan on flying with Delta again. The journey was just too stressful.

Flying with Delta was a total hassle. I said no to checking my bag at the start, but they overbook flights so bad that you can't even bring your carry-on with you. At the gate, the staff were rude and made me check my bag anyway, saying if I don't, I'm not getting on the plane. It's like they don't care about their customers at all, just want to squeeze in more people. I felt like they were just greedy, and it really put me off flying with them again. Delta really needs to step up their game if they want to keep their passengers happy. Will be looking at other airlines from now on.

I had a rough time with this airline recently. My flight got cancelled, and when I asked for help, the agents just ignored my situation. They insisted they could only check the flight they were handling, which was a clear lie since I've seen them access other flights before. It was so frustrating! I lost my paid-for Comfort Plus seat and ended up squished at the back of the plane. Tried fixing things online and over the phone, but all they said was to talk to the gate agent. Meanwhile, others got my Comfort Plus spots. It was a mess, and honestly, I'm not flying with them again.

Had an amazing time in Panama City, but the journey back was a nightmare. We were stuck on the tarmac for an hour due to some log book issue, which made us miss our connection in Atlanta. Delta didn't seem to care at all. We arrived late, and our bags went on without us. So, there we were in Atlanta, with just our duty-free stuff, which we ended up losing because we couldn't bring it through security. Delta didn't reimburse us for anything, just gave us a $100 e-credit. Honestly, felt like once we bought the ticket, they stopped caring. Definitely not flying with them again.

    What a nightmare!

What a nightmare! My flight from Denver to Atlanta on January 31, 2025, DL 396, was delayed over an hour. Missed my connection because of that, and the next flight was fully booked. Couldn't get to my destination till the next morning. Delta refused to give me a hotel room, saying the delay was due to passenger damage on a previous flight, so it wasn't their problem. Seriously, Delta? This is beyond frustrating. I can't believe they left me stranded with no help. I wish I could give them less than one star. Never flying Delta again. This experience was an absolute disaster.

    Beware

I recently flew with Delta and had quite the experience. Being tall, I paid $59 extra for a bulkhead seat to ensure some legroom. But when I boarded, my seat was five rows back, not what I'd paid for. The seat map I checked was clear as day, showing it as a bulkhead seat. I raised the issue with them right away, only to be told I got the seat I paid for and they wouldn’t refund me. It's not the money that bugs me, but the principle. Plus, they kept calling me Cheyenne throughout the entire interaction, and my name’s Jeffrey. It felt like they had no clue what was going on.

I remember when flying with this airline was a top-notch experience, but things have changed. Recently, I tried to get some help and ended up waiting on hold for a whole hour. Just when I thought I’d finally speak to someone, they sent me a text to deal with a robot instead. It's like they don't want to talk to actual people anymore. Took a Delta flight from the UK to ATL and it was a disaster. Booked an aisle seat but ended up stuck in the middle, barely any recline. The seating chart was all wrong. Tried to sort it with Delta, but they couldn’t even see my booking details. Seriously? Customer service was useless, just told me to file an online complaint and wait. No help at all. I had a frustrating experience with Delta Airlines. Their AI robot that answers calls is such a hassle. It felt like they were trying to stop me from talking to a real person. After what seemed like forever, I finally got through to a live agent, but she wasn't much help either. Considering I'm a Flying Colonel/Million Miler, this whole ordeal was really disappointing. Scam

I recently took a short flight that turned into a bit of a nightmare. The plane's air conditioning was cranked up so high, I felt like I was sitting in a freezer the whole time. You know how it is when it's scorching outside, and you expect some relief on the plane? Well, this was the opposite. I couldn’t relax, let alone catch a nap. The games on board were a nice touch, but with the shivers and all, I couldn't enjoy them. I never get travel sick, but this time, it was a different story. Despite the discomfort, I guess it balanced out to an average experience.

Just a heads up for anyone booking with Delta and thinking about getting their trip insurance. I paid $54 thinking it would let me change my flight if needed, but turns out it’s actually from Allianz, not Delta. The insurance only covers cancellations if you have a pre-existing medical condition, which I don’t have. I only found this out after I got an email with all the terms. Trying to get through to Delta to discuss this was impossible. Feels like a rip-off. Definitely read the fine print before buying any insurance through them – it’s not what it seems.

You won't believe the mess I went through with Delta. My direct flight from Lisbon to JFK got canceled and I had to take two flights instead. Talk about a headache! To make things worse, they downgraded my service and gave me a measly 20,000 miles back when I paid for an upgrade that cost me 200,000 miles. Their "We Care" customer service kept giving me the runaround with generic responses. It felt like they just didn't care. Trust me, steer clear of Delta if you can.
