    When I missed my flight to Saigon

    When I missed my flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in Bangkok, the Thai Airways team helped me quickly and well. I just sat at the closed gate and waited for about 10 mins. Then the Customer Service agent Mr W. Pakkapol, who spoke very good English, took me to the Vietnam Airlines desk and got me on a new flight that left only 2h later.

    I am shocked by how Thai Airways handled

    I am shocked by how Thai Airways handled my situation during one of the hardest times in my life. My sister is seriously ill, and I had no choice but to cancel my trip to be with her. Instead of offering any support or even some basic kindness, this airline made everything harder and added stress to an already awful time. What made this even worse was the constant back-and-forth between Thai Airways and the travel agent, World Air Fares. Both sides seemed more interested in blaming the other than helping me, leaving me stuck without clear answers. This constant passing the blame felt cruel, especially considering the emotional pain I was already dealing with. Even after giving all the required medical documents and following every instruction, I got nothing but confusing responses and unclear information about a simple tax refund. Thai Airways first said they needed confirmation from the travel agent to process it, then shifted the responsibility back to them, causing unnecessary delays. The lack of respect for my situation and the absence of any effort to ease my pain is unacceptable. This process has made an already hard time even worse. Instead of feeling cared for, I feel like my struggles were ignored by a company more focused on strict rules than showing basic humanity. Thai Airways has shown no compassion, no responsibility, and no care for its customers in real moments of need. This experience has left me feeling upset, and I strongly recommend anyone thinking about using them to reconsider if they want clear answers, professionalism, or any sense of empathy.

    End of my refund saga.

    End of my refund saga. I had received a voucher for a ticket canceled due to COVID by the airline. It took me several months, and I had to visit the Thai Airways office in Bangkok for the Paris team to finally pay attention to my issue. But the surcharge I paid for upgrading to business class was missing. After more months of frustration, the Bangkok office finally sent me proof of the tax amount (52 euros). I was asked to reach out to the Paris team, which I did, but I received no reply. I tried calling, and the number seemed to work again, but I was sent to Bangkok. After nearly 40 minutes, I was told there were indeed 52 euros of missing taxes, but it was too late for a refund. I told them I had been complaining for years, but it didn't matter. Thai Airways is now officially a fraudulent company. They admit the issue, but refuse to return my money. As far as I’m concerned, it’s over. This airline (already poor for years on the Paris-Bangkok route) is off my list.

    Terrible customer service, had to

    Terrible customer service, had to change my flight for an emergency. Spent 2 hours on the phone with no answer from Italy. Sent 3 emails and still waiting for a reply. The refund process is confusing and changing the flight is very hard.

    Never flying with Thai Airways again.

    Never flying with Thai Airways again. They scammed me with a ticket that had less luggage on the way home, then tried to charge me $500. I had to throw away so many clothes. Scammers! Be warned.

    Flew with THAI last week

    Flew with THAI last week on a crazy route: SIN-BKK, BKK-IST, IST-BUD (codeshare), ZRH-BKK, and BKK-SIN. Outta 4 flights, 3 were delayed. When we got to IST late, 4 of us missed the IST-BUD flight. No THAI staff around to help. The ground agent refused to give us a memo for the missed connection. We ended up stuck at IST airport for over 10 hours. Got a meal voucher, but it was just good for a cheeseburger and a drink. Super frustrating experience.
