Worst Flight Ever: Baby Safety Ignored
by Mo Draz

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my recent experience on an EgyptAir flight. So, we had two small backpacks filled with baby stuff, right? Normally, you'd think they could go in the overhead compartment above our seats. But no, this guy Yaser A Fawzy comes over and tells us to put them by our feet. Imagine having a 5-month-old baby on your lap and bags at your feet for a 5-hour flight. Not cool. Next, we tried to buy an extra seat for our baby's car seat, but the link didn’t work. At check-in, they told us we couldn’t use it, but then we see someone else with a car seat on the plane! Seriously? The plane's about to take off, and we realize no one's given us the baby seatbelt. Apparently, EgyptAir doesn’t think it’s safe for babies. I mean, what? In turbulence, holding a baby is safer than a seatbelt? By now, I'm really frustrated. I ask to complain and the so-called manager offers to store our baby bags in business class. Like, how am I supposed to keep going back and forth for nappies and milk? I suggest moving the suitcases instead, but nope. He says that's the only solution. I even asked to upgrade to business class for my baby's safety, but was flat-out denied. And no one told me I could file an official report on the plane. Found that out later in Cairo. Honestly, this was the worst flight experience ever. Just thought you all should know.

Nightmare Flight: Theft and Delays Galore
by Peter Šimkovič

Man, what a trip from hell. Our return flight from Tokyo to Cairo got postponed, but no one bothered to adjust our connecting flight to Budapest. We had to find out the hard way on the Egyptair website. Customer service was a joke—total ping pong game. Finally, they offered us alternative flights, but we'd be arriving two days late. But that’s not even the worst part. My buddy and I got robbed mid-air from Cairo to Tokyo. He had this expensive engagement ring ready for a proposal in Japan, and poof, gone. We even pinpointed the suspect, but the flight crew was no help. They practically discouraged us from involving the police, saying it would be a hassle for everyone on board. We spent the rest of the flight in agony, unsure what to do. The crew refused to alert other passengers to check their stuff, so who knows how many others got hit. When we landed, the Japanese police couldn’t do much because the theft happened on an Egyptian airline. Dealing with customer service afterwards was another nightmare. They just ignored our requests for documentation for the insurance claim. And don't even get me started on the cramped plane and the dump of a hotel they put us in Cairo due to the flight change. Total disaster.

Egyptair: Delays, Heat, and Broken Luggage
by Mojahid Elbadry

I flew with Egyptair recently, and honestly, it was quite a rough experience. We were stuck on the plane for 2.5 hours in Dublin, and it was really hot inside. By the time we landed, we only had 25 minutes to catch our next flight, but guess what? Another delay hit us. When we finally boarded, there were passengers arguing with the crew about the wait and the heat, but the staff didn’t seem to have any answers. Felt like they were just trying to save money by not arranging another plane for us latecomers. And the luggage? It showed up the next day, with some broken handles and wheels. The attitude of the crew and ground staff wasn’t great either; pretty standard for Egypt, I guess. Except maybe in Aswan, where it was slightly better. Bottom line? Avoid flying with this airline unless you have no other choice and don’t mind unpredictable waits and damaged luggage. The only positive was the food on the longer flights, but on the Cairo-Aswan leg, it was just dry cake and a small bottle of water. I really hope Egyptair steps up their game and matches the standards of other international airlines, especially given their prime location for connecting Europe, Asia, and Africa.

EgyptAir: A Nightmare in the Skies
by Kelly Felstead

You wouldn't believe the nightmare we had with EgyptAir on our trip to Egypt for my 40th. We landed in Cairo only to find my husband's suitcase didn't make it from Heathrow. No explanation, just "check the website." Next day, still no suitcase, even though they promised it would be at our hotel. Had an internal flight to Luxor and still nothing. Our amazing tour guide had to call in favors at the airport to finally track it down; it was just sitting in lost and found! But wait, it gets worse. On our return flights, Luxor to Cairo then Cairo to Heathrow, they assured us our bags would make it. Guess what? Both our suitcases were left in Cairo. Seriously, twice in one holiday! A courier finally brought them home two days later, but they were wrecked—locks broken, cases damaged. Now we have to buy new suitcases and had to spend on emergency clothes in Cairo. We sent a complaint letter and have heard nothing back. We didn't choose this airline; it was part of our tour package. Avoid EgyptAir if you can! This airline nearly ruined our dream holiday.

System Blues: A Tale of Two Managers
by Judith de Goede

Man, let me tell you about my recent experience. I was in Brussels and had an issue with my tickets. Luckily, I met Mohamed Rawy, the manager there. This guy was genuinely friendly and really tried to help us out. He even gave me his number and promised to call the main office in Amsterdam. Felt like he actually cared. But then, I had to deal with the district manager in the Netherlands, Dalia. She was like a robot, just talking about "the system" and "the rules." Zero compassion. I explained our family situation and practically begged for help, but it was like talking to a wall. She just kept blaming "the system" for everything, no sense of responsibility. So yeah, it was a pretty bad experience with Egypt Air. I get it, maybe it's just one manager, but it left a sour taste. Now we're stuck without a flight back home from Nairobi to Brussels because they canceled our tickets. And all I got was "the system did it." Real helpful, right?

Egyptair's Disastrous Customer Service Experience
by MIke

Flying with Egyptair was a total nightmare. My flight from Newark to Cairo on June 26, 2024, was delayed for over 12 hours. After getting on the runway, they turned back due to some issue. We waited until 3 am for a bus to take us to hotels far from the airport in East Rutherford, NJ. When we finally got there, there were no rooms available! The hotel staff said to call Egyptair for help at 4 am. Can you believe that? To make things worse, instead of keeping our luggage for the next day's flight, Egyptair made us wait in long lines to collect it, only to re-check it the next day. This was beyond rude and showed how little they care about their passengers. Someone needs to hold Egyptair's management accountable, but who will? It's all about money for them. Shame on you, Egyptair.

Baggage Nightmare Ruined My Important Trip
by Betty

I recently flew from London to Nairobi, and let me tell you, it was a nightmare. My bags didn't arrive with me, which was a disaster since I was there for my dad's funeral. I needed those clothes, and only one of my bags showed up the next day. The bag with the funeral clothes? Nowhere to be found. I called the airline every day, and they couldn't track it because the tag might have fallen off. It took a whole week to get it back, just two days before my flight back to London. And guess what? The wheels were broken when I finally got it. I've emailed EgyptAir three times for compensation, and still nothing. The in-flight service was decent, so that's why I'm giving two stars, but honestly, I wouldn't recommend this airline to anyone.

Travel Nightmare: Lost and Damaged Luggage
by Ahmed abudayya

I gotta tell you about this travel experience - it was a disaster. We used this so-called "company" twice in one month, and each time, our luggage showed up the next day on a separate flight. Imagine having to crash in Amman for an extra night just waiting on your bags. Calling their support? Useless. The phone rings a couple of times, then you get this annoying message saying they can't answer. And when we finally got our luggage, it was trashed. Ripped at all the corners and filthy like it had been dragged through the airport. To top it off, you only find out your luggage is missing by physically going to the airport. Total mess. Avoid them if you can.

Baggage Nightmare: Missing Items and Damage
by Jade

My partner and I were so excited for our trip from Egypt to Dubai, but things took a nosedive when we landed. Our bags didn't show up. We filled out a missing baggage form and they said our stuff would be on the next flight at 11am. We waited and waited. Finally, at 11pm, our bags arrived at our hotel, but they were a mess. Buckles ripped off, bags torn open, and several items missing. We're talking about over £800 worth of stuff just gone. I've tried reaching out to Egypt Air multiple times, but no response. The service and customer support were terrible. I wouldn't recommend flying with them.

Avoid EgyptAir: A Nightmare Experience
by Caro Daniels

Flying with EgyptAir was nothing short of a disaster. I boarded the plane, only to find it in a filthy state. The toilets were broken, which was just the beginning. They didn't seem to care about safety during takeoff or landing, which made the whole experience nerve-wracking. As if that wasn't enough, my luggage was both lost and damaged. They showed no concern for the inconvenience and extra costs this caused me. If you care about your vacation and don't want to deal with such a nightmare, I'd seriously reconsider flying with this airline. Better to stay home than endure this mess.

Egypt Air: A Customer Service Nightmare
by Jane D

Let me tell you about my recent experience with Egypt Air. Imagine you’re ready for a smooth journey and then bam! The customer service hits you like a ton of bricks. It's almost like they skipped the part of training where they teach you to be courteous. I was flying internationally, and every interaction just felt off. You know, sometimes you expect a bit of understanding or help, but it was like talking to robots. The whole experience was just frustrating, and I genuinely felt like I was dealing with the "worst" airline ever. If you’re considering them, maybe think twice.

Trip Ruined by Rude Security Officer
by AGAPE

We went back to Egypt, hoping for a wonderful visit, but it turned out awful thanks to this terrible security officer. He was beyond rude and acted like he owned the place. It wasn't just us who noticed; some foreign travelers saw what was going on and even snapped pictures of the guy because he wouldn’t give us his name. We tried to file a complaint, but this Yehya Farag Abdallah came and made it nearly impossible. It felt like they didn’t care about how poorly we were treated. Such a shame, really ruined the trip for us.

Egyptair: Luggage Nightmares and Zero Support
by AC

Flying with Egyptair was a disaster from start to finish. My luggage didn't arrive for 6 days when I got to my destination, and then it was delayed again for 2 days on my return. Trying to get reimbursed for my basic expenses has been a nightmare. It's been 3 weeks, and every email I send to their four different addresses gets marked as spam. Convenient, right? The Brussels office is useless, saying it's not their department. This experience was beyond frustrating and I can't see myself booking with Egyptair ever again.

AVOID!!! Horrible customer service!
by Hristo

AVOID!!! Horrible customer service! Completely inept like all others in Egypt! I booked a ticket for my wife using my credit card. They messed up and put my name and her last name on the ticket (which is different). I tried calling them, only option being premium phone. 1h27m later and £29 poorer, no answer. Checked their cancellation policy which says 24h cancellations get full refunds. Since they were unreachable, I canceled the ticket. As expected, no refund. Now disputing with the credit card company.

EgyptAir: The Eternal Waiting Game
by Stephen Conner

I've been flying to Luxor every year, and EgyptAir's service is always a nightmare. Last year, in desperation, I even went to their Hammersmith office because it's the only airline flying direct from Heathrow. Calling to make a reservation is a joke; the phone just rings and rings. If you go in person, be prepared to wait forever—it's like they don't care. It's baffling how anyone manages to get to Luxor from the UK using EgyptAir. You'd think they'd improve, but nope, same dreadful service every time.

Booking Nightmare: Avoid This Service!
by Hristo

Booking a ticket turned into a disaster. Used my card to buy a ticket for my wife, but they mixed up our names – her last name, my first. Tried calling them, but after an hour and a half on hold and a hefty phone bill, no one picked up. Their policy says you get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours, so I canceled the ticket. Surprise, surprise – no refund. Now I'm fighting with my credit card company to get my money back. Avoid if you value your time and sanity!

Egypt Air: Customer Service Nightmare
by Anas Alamari

I gotta tell ya, dealing with Egypt Air was something else. Tried calling their customer service, and it's like shouting into a void—no response. Sent them emails too, but nope, nothing. So I thought, maybe going to their office would help. Big mistake. The staff there didn't seem interested in helping at all. Felt like I was talking to a wall. It's so frustrating when you need assistance and you get absolutely zero support. Definitely not flying with them again.

Refund Nightmare: Avoid Opodo and Egyptair
by Nicki Goldsmith

I booked a flight with Egyptair through Opodo and had to cancel it. Been waiting ages for my refund and heard nothing back. Can you believe it? No updates, no one seems to care. Just sitting here thinking, when the flight date rolls around, they'll probably mark me as a no-show. It's beyond frustrating. I’m seriously disappointed in both Opodo and Egyptair. Their customer support? Might as well be a ghost. I’m done with them, never using their services again.

Avoid Egypt Air at All Costs
by Christine Zona

I spent half my day trying to get through to Egypt Air, but no one picked up. Their website? A total mess with confusing prices everywhere. I thought, "Okay, I'll just go to their London office." Big mistake. The staff there were super rude and didn't seem to care at all about helping me. Honestly, steer clear of this airline. Worst experience ever.

Nightmare Airline: Avoid at All Costs!
by Sue L

Wow, where do I begin? This airline is a nightmare. They messed up my ticket date, and then had the nerve to charge me an extra £72 to fix their mistake. But it didn't stop there. Two months later, they tried to take even more money from my bank account. This isn't a flight company, it's a scam operation. Avoid them at all costs, seriously!

Awful. No other way to say it.
by Caro D

Awful. No other way to say it. Filthy aircraft, faulty restrooms, no concern for safety during take off and landing, lost and wrecked bags, total neglect for the troubles and expenses faced. If you care about your hard-earned vacation and can't spend more on a better airline, I'd stay home rather than fly with EgyptAir.
