Deciding to switch careers and learn new things pushed me to join Nucamp. It turned out to be a great choice since I was so motivated to get into Cybersecurity and expand my knowledge of the field. I hope to break into the industry and apply everything I’ve learned in a real-world situation.

I decided to join Nucamp because I wanted to switch to a tech career, and it was definitely the right choice! The curriculum is well-organized, and the instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. The mix of self-paced learning and interactive workshops made it simple to understand new ideas and apply them in real projects. A big highlight of the bootcamp was the sense of community. The active online forums helped me connect with fellow students and instructors, making the learning experience fun and interesting. After finishing the bootcamp, my goal is to keep improving as a developer and eventually focus on front-end development. Nucamp has given me a solid base for my tech career, and I'm excited to see what comes next!

The cybersecurity course offered a solid introduction to key areas such as network security, encryption, and threat detection. The lessons were organized in a clear way, and included useful examples and practical exercises that helped clarify challenging ideas. It’s a good option for those new to the field!

After high school, I had plans

After high school, I had plans to dive into computer science but wanted to avoid spending a lot on college. I figured getting certifications was a solid option, and I still believe that. I came across Nucamp, and since it wasn’t too expensive and seemed like a decent place to learn with instructors who had real-world experience, I thought it would be a smart move. However, after paying, I quickly realized what I had signed up for. The introduction was mostly just Ludo reading off a script that felt like it came from ChatGPT (or something else similar that scored 100% on gptzero.me). The rest of the lessons were barely any better. There were "male" and "female" instructors, but honestly, I couldn’t really tell what set them apart. The backend course, at least, assumes you have a basic understanding of JavaScript or a language with procedural and OOP concepts. This is definitely not a beginner-friendly course. It's much better suited for people who already know the basics of computer science. That said, the instructor I had was good and reminded me of Richard Stallman, which I liked. All in all, the backend (Python + SQL + DevOps) course has useful material, but it’s not really designed for those starting from scratch.

I recently completed the Web Development Fundamentals course, and it was even better than I had hoped.
