I looked into functional medicine and came across Holistic Medical Wellness online, so I scheduled a telehealth appointment with Dr. Richard Koffler. During our 1-hour meeting, I discussed my issues with fibromyalgia and constant brain fog. I wasn’t feeling like myself and wanted to avoid regular pain meds. Dr. Koffler suggested doing a DNA test and some blood work, which showed my testosterone was at 138—quite low, and I was surprised. My Vitamin D levels were also low, which made sense since I mostly work from home and don't get much sunlight. He offered several tips and dietary changes. I am now on testosterone and received approval for my NY marijuana card for fibromyalgia pain. He took time to explain his suggestions, helping me understand the link between health and how we feel. With a family, I’m motivated to take care of myself and prevent future health problems. Dr. K is caring and helped me feel more assured about my health; my brain fog is nearly gone.

I went to see Dr.Koffler about my long-lasting pain

I went to see Dr.Koffler about my long-lasting pain, which I first thought was only from my knee injury. It turned out it also came from certain foods I was eating that added to the inflammation and pain. I was happy with the way he handled the situation, as I didn’t want any pain meds. He took time to look into my symptoms and what else could be behind the pain. After going over my food sensitivity and DNA test, I found out some foods were making things worse. He gave me a custom plan with diet tweaks, supplements, and specific exercises. I also tried a few acupuncture, cupping, and massage sessions with his team, which helped my pain lessen a lot. He made everything clear, and for the first time, I felt like I had some control over my health, not just the pain. Big thanks to the Holistic Medical Wellness team.

I am happy with the service I received so far.

I am happy with the service I received so far. I didn’t want a prescription for painkillers, and what made me choose them was their holistic approach. They talked through my symptoms and considered other factors that could be causing the pain.
