    Consent and hard credit checks

    A sales rep (****) reached out to me by text, asking questions about my car. I was interested in selling it, so we had a conversation over a couple of days. Eventually, he made an offer that twice what I'm paying now, and didn't seem to understand what I was looking for. The day after, I saw four hard credit checks on my credit reports. I never provided consent for these checks, and this now delays my plans of trading in my car. DO NOT RECOMMEND, especially when they don't understand consent.
