I booked a big house for a bachelor party, shelled out $8,000. But then, I had back surgery, had to cancel. Figured, no biggie, they'd understand, right? Nope. They rebooked the place for the full amount, so I thought I'd get my money back. But no way, Airbnb and the host wouldn’t budge. It felt like a slap in the face. Stayed at a property in Santa Fe on Katasse Way for a couple of nights and it was a disaster. They didn’t mention it was down a bumpy dirt road on a hill. We drove a 24’ RV and it was a nightmare. Ended up staying at a hotel instead. The yard was a mess, full of sticker bushes and rusty equipment, not at all as shown in the photos. It was supposed to be pet-friendly, but I wouldn’t let my pet near that yard. Airbnb only refunded $200 from our $700+ stay, so now we’re disputing it with our credit card. Total waste of time and money.
