    You wouldn’t believe the mess

You wouldn’t believe the mess I’ve been through with Airbnb. It's like talking to a wall when you call their support. The folks there seem clueless, but I know it's not really their fault. It's those corporate bigwigs who just want to save a buck. I’m almost 40, got a dog, and suddenly I’m banned for being a "party risk"? Seriously? It’s ridiculous. I’ve never thrown a wild party in my life! The way this platform treats its loyal users is just a joke. I’m hoping more people wise up and ditch this nonsense. It's about time we find better alternatives that actually value their customers.

    I stayed at an Airbnb

I stayed at an Airbnb recently, and it was a nightmare. The host bombarded me with emails demanding £1,250 for a door lock that was already broken when I arrived. And Airbnb kept sending me messages asking if I wanted to pay the amount, which made no sense since I didn't break it. The host never even asked me if I was responsible, just kept pushing for money. It felt like they were taking advantage of me, and Airbnb did nothing to help. Their platform seems to allow hosts to treat guests unfairly and assume we're at fault. It really ruined my holiday and left a bad taste in my mouth.

    Spent the whole day trying

Spent the whole day trying to sort out my Airbnb reservation. Couldn't find it and then the site kept saying my account wasn't verified or my phone number was linked to another account. Called customer service, but the rep barely spoke English. After 35 minutes of getting nowhere, I asked for a supervisor. She said they can't transfer me because I'm not verified! I explained that's the reason I'm calling, but we weren't understanding each other. Frustrating experience, to say the least. Decided to give up on Airbnb. There are other rental options out there that might be more helpful.

    Really mess

So, we landed in London, all set for a special trip celebrating my wife's 50th and my brother-in-law's 60th. But guess what? Our Airbnb got canceled last minute because of some flooding issue. We spent hours on the phone with Airbnb, and they were zero help. Eventually, they found us another place, but it was a disaster too. Ants everywhere, the backyard looked like a jungle, and the front patio cushions were covered in mold. Seriously, it was gross. We lost half a day dealing with this mess, and it really put a damper on our special celebrations. Airbnb really let us down this time.

    Booked a place on Airbnb

Booked a place on Airbnb for a vacation in Florida, but Hurricane Milton hit, and a local state of emergency was declared. Thought I could get a refund under their Major Disruptive Events policy, but nope. Customer service said they can't do anything 'cause the host refused to refund. Isn't that what the policy is for? Seriously, what a mess. This whole experience has been beyond frustrating. I'm done with Airbnb and will tell friends and family to stay away too. Thinking about reporting them to the BBB and maybe even taking legal action. This kinda thing shouldn’t happen to anyone.

    I had quite a frustrating

I had quite a frustrating experience with Airbnb recently. I tried booking a place for an upcoming trip, but it was a nightmare. Every time I found a rental that looked good, I'd enter all my info, only to be told the dates weren't available or my phone number couldn’t be verified. This happened 12 times! Even when the site confirmed my phone number was verified, I still couldn’t book anything. It's really disappointing and makes me question the reliability of the site. Honestly, it's been a total headache, and I wouldn't recommend using Airbnb if you want a smooth booking process.

    Stayed at this Airbnb, and

Stayed at this Airbnb, and it was a total nightmare. The host kept messaging me, trying to get me to go out with him, like romantically. I was super uncomfortable and asked Airbnb support multiple times to make him stop. Instead, they contacted him directly, and now he's messaging me even more about it! It's just making an already creepy situation way worse. I felt so unsafe and trapped since I had nowhere else to stay. Seriously, if you need help, do not count on Airbnb support—they only made things worse for me. This was such a ridiculous and scary experience. Avoid at all costs.

    I had a frustrating experience

I had a frustrating experience with Airbnb while trying to book a place. The price jumped from $1,960 to $3,930 right when I was about to pay. I messaged the host, but Airbnb intercepted it and said prices change based on demand. That’s not my issue though; I was mid-payment! What really got me was you can only message the host once. If you have more questions, you need to set up a payment method first. The reply option turns into “request to book,” and if the host accepts, your card gets charged. It’s ridiculous that you can't talk to the host without paying first. Proof uploaded.

    So frustrating!

Don't trust Airbnb! I stayed at the "Jungle House" in Columbus, Ohio, and it was a nightmare. We got hit with a $500 cleaning fee because we had our small, old dog with us, even though the place is supposed to be dog-friendly. The owner claimed Airbnb was charging us, but neither explained why. Our dog didn’t make a mess and we followed all the exit instructions. The backyard was unusable due to all the dog poop left by previous guests. The owner even gave us a 5-star review and offered a discount for next time. Feels like someone is just trying to make extra money. So frustrating!

    When we got to this

When we got to this place they called "historic charm," we were totally let down. First thing we saw was a hole in the closet floor. The kitchen cabinets were falling apart, and the bathroom didn't even have an exhaust fan. We told the host and Airbnb about it, but they just brushed us off. It's like they don't care at all. Calling a rundown place "historic charm" is just a sneaky way to trick people. It almost feels like a scam, and I can't believe Airbnb lets this kind of listing stay up. If you're traveling, watch out for stuff like this. It's not worth the hassle or the money.

    Studying in Europe has been

Studying in Europe has been amazing, and I want to make the most of my weekends by traveling around. But booking with Airbnb has been a nightmare. I've tried three times now, with both large and small groups, and every time I get told I'm a "party risk" and can't book. I don't even have any history with them, so it's super frustrating. I've switched to VRBO and had no problems at all. They let me book without any hassle, and I've got a 5-star rating as a guest. If you're studying abroad and want to avoid the headache, skip Airbnb and go with VRBO. It's way easier and stress-free.

    I tried using this app

I tried using this app to find a place to stay, but it was a nightmare. Every search I did just threw up student properties, even though I’m not a student. The student halls are empty at certain times of the year, but they’re still flooding my search results. It was so confusing to figure out which listings were student-only and which weren’t, because the descriptions didn’t match the search filters. I ended up booking a hotel instead, because it was just too frustrating. This app is clearly not made for professionals or anyone who’s working. It’s a mess and really disappointing.

Booked a place for one, needed it for three. Simple mistake, right? When I tried to fix it, the host wanted triple the price! I mean, 330€ instead of 110€? Just for two more people? I thought it was only extra city tax. I said no, and guess what? The host canceled on me and kept my money. Couldn't even stay there alone. Tried to sort it out with Airbnb, showed them proof it should've just been extra tax. But talking to their support felt like chatting with robots. They kept insisting I should’ve accepted the 330€. Felt so frustrated, like they just didn't care about real people.

    I found out something

I found out something pretty shocking about AirBnB. So, if you leave a bad review about a host, they can delete any good review they left about you. Feels like retaliation, right? As a guest, I was praised for being tidy and respectful, but when I called out the host's bad behavior in my review, guess what? Their positive review of me disappeared. It's really messed up that AirBnB allows this. It just discourages people from being honest. Plus, they even took down my negative review of the host without saying why. Seems like money talks more than honesty here. Not cool, AirBnB.

    It's so frustrating!

Man, I can't believe the mess with Airbnb's login system. The new captcha they've rolled out is just ridiculous, taking forever and a day to get through. It locked me out of my account for a whole day, can you believe that? What's so hard about just sending a 6-digit code to your email like everyone else? It's not like we're accessing top-secret bank accounts or anything. This isn't the first time I've had issues either. Their previous security update was just as bad – super clunky and locked me out too. You'd think by now they’d figure out a smoother way to handle logins.

    Tried Airbnb for the first

Tried Airbnb for the first time tonight, figured I'd book a few places for an upcoming trip. First booking went smooth, but when I went to secure the second, my account suddenly got flagged for review. They wanted ID, so I uploaded it. Said it was accepted, but still couldn't pay for the next stay. Reached out to support and got told it was a site issue and to try again in 24 hours. Really? Needed it done tonight, so I decided to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other booking sites out there that actually work. This was my first and definitely last experience with Airbnb.

Staying in this place was a nightmare. The listing called it a "stunning Bath town house," but what we walked into was far from it. The place was filthy, with a damp smell everywhere. The stair carpet was loose and felt dangerous, and there were broken items like blinds and chair legs. We contacted the hosts right away, but they didn’t lift a finger to help. To make matters worse, Airbnb took down our negative review, saying it didn't fit their rules. We felt completely ignored and let down. Safe to say, I won’t be booking with them again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

    We booked a cozy cabin

We booked a cozy cabin in Lake Tahoe for our anniversary, excited for a week of relaxation. But when we arrived, there was this awful smell that just wouldn't leave, no matter how much we aired the place out. Gave me a pounding headache. We just couldn't stay the entire week like that. We reached out to the host to cancel and find a hotel instead. But then, both the host and Airbnb refused to refund us. We lost $2k, and to top it off, their site wouldn't even let me leave a review about the place. It’s frustrating, and we’re definitely steering clear of Airbnb in the future.

    I've been using Airbnb a

I've been using Airbnb a lot for work trips, so I'm always on the lookout for new places. Lately, I've noticed some hosts playing a sneaky game. They get a bad review, then poof, their profile vanishes. Next thing you know, the same place is back up under a new profile, starting fresh with positive reviews. There's this one company in Manchester that's done it more than once. It's really frustrating because you think you're booking a decent place, but you might end up with problems. Airbnb really needs to crack down on this, or people are just going to keep getting tricked.

I’m just a regular customer, and let me tell ya, trying to update the notifications phone number for our three properties has been a real headache. Every time I reach out, I just end up going in circles with support, and it feels like nobody knows how to actually fix the issue. It's frustrating because you’d think something as simple as changing a phone number would be straightforward. But nope, still stuck with the wrong info. I remember when Airbnb used to be my go-to for travel. It felt like a community of trust, you know? But lately, it’s like a wild west out there. Booked a place recently, and it turned out to be a total scam. The host was nowhere to be found and the place didn’t even exist. Tried reaching out to Airbnb, thinking they’d have my back. But nope, they just washed their hands off it. Felt pretty abandoned and out of pocket, to be honest. It seems like scammers are everywhere now, and the platform isn't as safe as it once was. It's like you're just left to figure it out yourself.

I've had enough with Airbnb. They’re refusing to delete my account and remove my data unless I give them even more personal information. Isn’t that against the law or something? I thought they had to comply if we asked them to delete our data. Decided to leave after trying to book a UK cottage and they wanted so much personal info, way more than any other UK site I’ve used. It's just too much now. Feels like they’re getting out of control with the data they demand. As a UK citizen and resident, I find this really frustrating and invasive. Definitely not using them again.

Stayed at an Airbnb recently, and it was such a letdown. The apartment lost power for two days straight, leaving us without Wi-Fi, heat, or even a working fridge. Tried to get help from Airbnb, but their support was useless, just a bunch of generic responses. We asked for a partial refund for at least one day without electricity, but they flat-out refused. Felt like we were left on our own to deal with it. If you're thinking about booking with Airbnb, just know that if something goes wrong, you might be stuck handling it yourself. Not worth the high fees, in my opinion.

Staying at this place was a nightmare. The electrical wiring was dangerously faulty, making us feel unsafe. Imagine being in a foreign country and realizing you're practically homeless because your accommodation is unlivable. To make things worse, our Airbnb account was suddenly deleted, cutting off our ability to file a complaint or get help. We ended up paying over half the original cost for just two nights out of the seven we booked. It's absolutely unacceptable. We’re considering legal action, and I just had to share our awful experience. This needs to be addressed!

I was so excited to book a stay on Airbnb, but wow, the extra charges are out of control! The advertised price seemed reasonable, but when I hit 'book,' suddenly there’s a cleaning fee and Airbnb’s own fee tacked on. For my 4-night stay, they wanted £70 just for cleaning and another £100 in Airbnb fees. Why isn't the cleaning fee just part of the daily rate? It feels really sneaky. Airbnb really needs to be upfront about the total cost right from the start. If they keep adding these high fees and hiding the true price, I’m definitely looking for other options next time.

I wanted to book a one-night staycation for my friends on Airbnb, but they wouldn't let me. They think I'm gonna throw a wild party or something. I tried to explain and called customer service, but they said it's up to some special team. Got an email later, appeal denied. Called them again, same result. They said I can only book private rooms or hotels. Like, seriously? If I wanted a hotel, I’d just go to a hotel site. I wanted an apartment so we could cook and hang out. No one really listened, and customer service couldn’t do anything. What’s the point of Airbnb then?

Booked a place, but then they cancelled it, claiming my account had "suspicious activities" because I split the payment between a gift card and my credit card. Now they won’t give me my money back after canceling the reservation. And to make things worse, the team that suspended my account can’t be reached by phone, only through email.
