The company needs to improve security

The company needs to improve security by checking hosts' profiles better. The first host I met had a different photo than in real life. Also, we should be able to tell hosts clearly that we're not interested in hooking up but in finding a safe space for gay people and getting tips.

The misterb&b site is well put together with lots

The misterb&b site is well put together with lots of filters to locate a perfectly-suited gay vacation spot! Billing is clear, easy, and the communication module is modern and robust. I've used misterb&b as an alternative to "that other site" and I've truly enjoyed it. Plus, it's nice to connect with and support other LGBTQ+ hosts in cities!

After a Covid-related cancellation with MrBnB

After a Covid-related cancellation with MrBnB, I was promised a credit by the property manager, which was confirmed in writing. However, when I tried to use the credit for a new reservation, I was informed that because I booked through Bookings (which wasn't made clear during the initial reservation process), I lost the entire $1200+ reservation amount. Both companies declined further assistance. It's disappointing. The credit should have been accounted for without additional cost, as the service was already paid for but not provided. It's definitely a scam. I won't be using MrBnB or Bookings again.

Our experience with Mrbnb left us quite disappointed. We arrived at a location that was far from where we were supposed to be, and when we contacted the designated check-in point, we were informed that our reservation had been transferred to Booking.com without any notice. Despite expressing our dissatisfaction, we received no response. The place we ended up staying in was extremely disappointing, with a different address than what was reserved. We were especially grateful that we had only booked two nights, as on the second night, we encountered water shortages. This made it impossible for us to carry out basic tasks such as flushing toilets, showering, brushing teeth, or even making coffee.

Being able to communicate in

Being able to communicate in both English and French with the hosts really improved my first trip experience. They were really nice, friendly, and attentive. Diego and David were excellent hosts for my rental experience. The location was perfect, and the neighborhood felt safe and easy to navigate. My first time in Medellin was truly amazing and unforgettable.

The app and website are pretty

The app and website are pretty straightforward, gotta give 'em that. Loved playing around with the search filters, making the property list do a little dance – narrow here, expand there. But hey, a bit of a letdown when I tried to find places owned by LGBTQ owners, not just allies. Stayed at a couple of hotels from the list, but nada LGBTQ vibes. Thumbs up for the clothing-optional filter – nice touch. Now, the not-so-fun part: tried to change my reservation within 24 hours of booking, and Mister bnb hit me with the "pay in full first" rule. Not the smoothest change dance, but hey, at least I found the beat eventually.

Misterb&b is kinda playing secret agent with user info, sharing it with Facebook on the down-low without giving us a heads-up. Sneaky, right? And to add to the drama, I tried reaching out to a host to clear things up, but the website went rogue and placed a request/order without my say-so. Total chaos and misunderstandings galore. Not the smoothest ride with these folks.

That spot is a tight squeeze for two – like, really tiny. Wish they'd do a bit more checking and maybe spruce up the space for what we're shelling out. Room for improvement, literally
