I scheduled a round-trip flight with Turkish

I scheduled a round-trip flight with Turkish Airlines well ahead of time, paying for both flights. I later adjusted the date of my outbound flight, paying the fare difference. However, shortly before my travel date, I got an email saying that my outbound flight was canceled. I attempted to find a quick fix, like canceling just the outbound flight and keeping the return, but the Turkish Airlines site didn't allow that. Customer service told me that if I missed the outbound flight, my return would also be canceled. None of the other flights they offered matched my timetable, leaving me with two choices: either cancel everything and rebook at a much higher price or accept a reschedule that didn't suit me. When I opted to cancel the entire reservation, Turkish Airlines would not refund the full amount. They deducted fees for the online booking service and refused to return the fare difference I'd paid for my previous outbound flight change. This meant that even though they had canceled my flight, they would not refund the amount I paid for it. After talking to almost 10 different customer service agents, I had to accept a new outbound flight that didn’t match my plans, causing me extra costs for an unplanned overnight stay in Istanbul. This experience left me quite disapointed with the lack of flexibility and fairness in Turkish Airlines' policies.

Heathrow to Istanbul was "delayed" due to weather.

Heathrow to Istanbul was "delayed" due to weather. While we saw other airlines take off every 5 mins. Strangely, we boarded 30 mins later but sat on the runway for an hour in the queue, so we missed our connection. The real kicker? We met people in Istanbul airport who, while queuing for our Cape Town flight, got compensation and a hotel because our flight was overbooked. How could we catch that flight if it was overbooked before all London passengers even arrived! I think the delay was on purpose. They then placed us in a gross 1 star hotel in some industrial area 45 mins from the airport and 45 mins from the tourist spots, with 'free' food I wouldn’t give to a street dog. Airline is a joke. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!

It's hard to understand why the staff at

It's hard to understand why the staff at Turkish Airlines (not the flight attendants) are so impolite and careless. My mother was traveling from Erbil to Amsterdam with a layover in Istanbul. When she reached the gate, it was already closed ahead of schedule. She had been delayed previously by the same airline, and when she got to the gate, they dismissed her rudely. This is simply unacceptable. Why is there such a lack of courtesy? They should at least consider her age and language barrier. I hope this improves soon. I will not fly with Turkish Airlines again or suggest it to anyone. My mother was crying at the airport, and no one helped her.

I flew from the UK to Saudi Arabia and found out when

I flew from the UK to Saudi Arabia and found out when I arrived that my cash and debit card had been taken from my checked bags without my permission. This created big problems during my travels, as I didn’t have enough money for a good trip. I reached out to Turkish Airlines about the issue, but they gave me no real answers—only the same responses with no fix. It seems like Turkish Airlines has people on their staff who steal things from passengers’ bags, which clearly breaks their rules. If you’ve had the same trouble, I urge you to share your story and help my case so we can fight back against these illegal actions.

I booked a flight with them on June 24th for July 5th.

I booked a flight with them on June 24th for July 5th. Had to cancel due to a medical appointment next day. Cancelled within 22 hours of booking and 2 weeks before the flight. Provided proof of my procedure. Was told on phone to cancel immediately for a refund but now they refuse. Got only €38 back from my €1100 spent. Paid extra for leg room but no refund. Avoid them! Their tourism board promotes tourists but TA steals money. Planned to visit Istanbul in autumn instead of July, but won't go there again due to this company. Notified Turkish consumer association about their sneaky practices.
