The plan process was quite simple

The plan process was quite simple and the customer support (Tianna) was absolutely remarkable. We made about 15 changes which did add $3,000 to the plan but still big savings over a regular architect.

I picked up this guide, thinking it'd have a list of all the standard framing lumber included. Considering the price, it seemed like a given. But when I opened it up, no list. It was a bit frustrating, to say the least. So, I went back to check the description more carefully and, after some digging, realized it does mention that the list isn't included. My bad for not catching that sooner. Lesson learned, I guess! Next time, I'll definitely scrutinize the details a bit more before buying. It's a reminder to always double-check the fine print before making assumptions.

I recently tried out Plan #42902 for my home renovation, and let me tell you, it's been quite the journey. The design itself is fantastic, but I've hit a snag with the close-spaced metal siding. It's not been easy to find, and it's pretty frustrating. The rest of the plan is straightforward and uses easily available materials, which is a relief. But this siding issue has me stumped. If anyone knows where to get it, I'm all ears. Despite this hiccup, the plan's overall layout and flow are impressive. I just wish the specific materials were easier to source. Jeff.

Got my order pretty quick, so that was nice. But when I looked at the print, I noticed a little hiccup. The door was reversed, and there were electric switches hidden behind it. That wouldn't have worked at all if the door stayed like that. Now I just need a new print for the upstairs with the door in the right direction. Other than that, everything else was spot on. Little things like this can be annoying, but at least it was easy to spot and hopefully fix.

Got the plans and printed them out, had a few small delays but nothing major. It's really important to know before buying that these plans need a structural engineer to verify them. I didn't find this out until I read through the plans, which was a bit frustrating. Bought the cost to build estimate too, and the spreadsheet with all the details was super helpful. When I signed up, the licensing agreement seemed pretty clear about unlimited builds. But then, out of nowhere, I had to pay for more than one build? It felt misleading. Also, they mentioned something about getting additional builds for a fee, but didn't specify what that fee was. It’s frustrating because if I'm committing to a plan, I want to know exactly what I’m getting into and what it’s going to cost me. The whole thing made me feel uncertain and a bit annoyed. It would be great if they could be more transparent about these fees upfront, so customers know what they're in for.
