    I recently had an experience

I recently had an experience with Budget that left me quite frustrated. I reserved a car for November 16, 2024, but realized I didn't need it shortly after. I canceled the reservation within 30 minutes, yet they still charged me $50. Seems pretty unfair, right? I've rented from Avis and Hertz before, and they never pulled a stunt like that. It's not just the cancellation fee that bothers me, though. Their cars are always dirty, which is just gross. Honestly, Budget feels more concerned about squeezing money out of customers than providing decent service. I won't be renting from them again.

    I had a terrible experience

I had a terrible experience with Budget Car Rental. First, they left me on hold for almost an hour when I tried to get help. Then, they charged me for damage that was already there when I picked up the truck. I found two chips in the windshield and reported them right away, but no one seemed to care. When I returned the truck, I had to insist someone check it with me. The lady said the chips were too small to worry about. Now, a month later, they're billing me $609 to replace the windshield. I've tried to sort this out, but they won't cooperate. Definitely won't be renting from them again.

    I’ve rented with Budget lots

I’ve rented with Budget lots of times before, never had a problem. But this time at John Wayne airport, it was something else. I picked up an SUV, expecting the usual clean ride, but oh boy, was I in for a surprise. The back seat looked like it had been in a party with some sticky stuff spilled everywhere. And trash? Yep, there was some left in the car. Not to mention, there was bird poop here and there. It was a mess, and honestly, I expected better. Usually, Budget is top-notch with their vehicles, so this was a bit of a letdown for me. Just hoping this was a one-off and not a new trend.

    So bad experience

I recently had an experience with a car rental at Dulles airport that was just awful. The car I got was a total mess, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Driving it felt like riding on a bunch of rocks instead of wheels—it was that bad. Tried reaching out to management, hoping they'd fix things or at least give me some of my money back, but got absolutely nothing in return. The office itself wasn't any better—looked like it hadn't been cleaned in forever. It's a huge letdown when you expect a decent service and get this instead. Definitely won't be going back there for any future rentals.

    You know, renting a car

You know, renting a car from this company was a total disaster. They sneakily tacked on extra charges for some protection I never agreed to, and the cost ended up being more than the rental itself. The paperwork was in French, and they didn’t even offer me a chance to read or understand it. I only found out about this scam when I returned the car and was told the final price. With a flight to catch, I couldn't sort it out then and there. It's been over two weeks, and all they say is, "You signed the agreement." If only I’d checked the reviews beforehand, I would've avoided this whole mess.

    I had the worst experience

I had the worst experience with this car rental agency. Waited in line for 1.5 hours just to pick up the car. When I returned it, everything was fine, no issues. But then a month later, I get this fraudulent charge for tire damage. I mean, come on, the tires were in perfect condition when I returned the car. I even submitted photos as proof. Tried to reach out to them three times over two weeks and got nothing back. This place is so poorly managed, I can't believe it. Long lines, terrible service, and false charges—definitely not worth any so-called savings. Avoid this place at all costs.

    I went to Florence for

I went to Florence for a short trip, just three days, and thought renting a car would be a breeze. But boy, was I wrong with this company! Waiting over two hours in line was just the start of the nightmare. It felt like they were picking favorites, letting some people skip ahead while the rest of us just stood there. The staff? Rude and all over the place. Honestly, it seemed like they couldn’t care less. Meanwhile, other car rentals nearby had no lines and seemed so much more put together. I just want my money back and an apology for wasting my time. Seriously, steer clear of these guys!

    I rented a car from

I rented a car from this company, and everything seemed fine until the bill arrived. They tacked on an unexpected "Non Pkg Items" charge, over $100! Tried to get in touch with them through email to find out what this was about, but they just brushed me off. No response after a few tries. I started reading other reviews, and it looks like I’m not the only one who’s had this issue. Seems like they do this often, and it's really frustrating. It feels like they just hope people won’t notice or won’t bother to challenge it. Not cool at all. Be cautious if you're thinking of renting from them.

    I had an interesting

I had an interesting experience renting a car at Dublin airport. After landing, I had to catch a bus to the pickup location, which was a bit annoying but manageable. What threw me off was the unexpectedly long wait that followed. Stood in line for what felt like forever—about an hour and a half—just to get through the rental process. Even after that, there was another 20-minute wait for the keys. I had pre-booked the car, so I thought it would be smoother. Honestly, it was frustrating. Next time, I think I'll look for a rental company that values efficiency and customer time a bit more.

    I arrived to pick up

I arrived to pick up my reserved car, expecting it to be ready since they had all my info in advance. But nope, after 20 minutes inside doing paperwork, I was left waiting outside in freezing weather for over an hour! And it wasn't just me, my family, including my 92-year-old Father-In-Law, also had to endure this mess. The whole rental process was a disaster. I've never seen such a poorly run operation. I complained to the staff and corporate, but all I got was a half-hearted apology. Trust me, go with Enterprise or Hertz instead. Avoid Avis/Budget if you don’t want to ruin your trip.

    I can't believe what happened

I can't believe what happened at the Charlotte airport yesterday. I've rented cars from Avis and Budget for over 150 days last year without a hitch, but this time? Total nightmare. I had a proper reservation all set, waited in line for hours, and when I finally got to the counter, they told me I couldn't rent a car. No explanation at all except for “computer says.” It felt like they were saying they didn’t want me as a customer anymore. I’m completely done with Avis/Budget after this experience. It’s frustrating, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They’ve lost my trust for good.

Renting a car shouldn’t feel like getting ripped off

Man, let me tell you about my latest car rental experience. I went to rent a simple Fiat 500 for a long weekend, right? Expected something reasonable. But when I saw the bill, my jaw dropped—692 euros for just three days! And get this, they slapped on some extra insurance I never asked for. I thought, alright, at least I'll get my 200 euro deposit back. Nope, didn’t happen. Tried contacting them, but they just dodged my calls and emails. It's like dealing with ghosts. Honestly, feels like something the authorities should look into. Renting a car shouldn’t feel like getting ripped off.

    Their customer service is terrible

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my recent experience with Budget while traveling abroad. Honestly, avoid them if you can. If something goes wrong, you're basically left to fend for yourself. They won't assist you at all. Instead, they'll give you the contact info for the international location and expect you to sort it out with people who barely speak English. I got overcharged by over $1000 and when I called Budget's headquarters, it took them three months just to send me back the contact info for the same place that messed up. Their customer service is terrible. So disappointed.

    When I rolled up expecting

When I rolled up expecting the sports car I reserved, they had zip, just like the time I booked a Tesla. It's like they lure you in with these flashy promises but then have nothing to show. Feels like they're playing a bait-and-switch game. Super frustrating and not cool at all. On the flip side, the staff there, they're top-notch. They totally get how annoying this is and do their best to help out. But it seems like management is just shrugging it off. It’s a bummer because I'd love to trust them, but right now, I just can't. I'm thinking of taking this higher up to make some noise.

    Never again

Booked a Ute online, got a confirmation, all seemed good. Took an Uber to Budget Ashmore, $22 out of pocket. Then they tell me, no Ute available. Offered me one other option, but it cost more. Went through all the admin stuff, then they drop a $500 bond on me, which I wasn't clear about online. Said it would take 5 business days to get it back. I said forget it. No apology, the guy just walked out of the office while I was still there. So disappointing. Used to rent from them in Melbourne but this experience has put me off for good. If I could give zero stars, I would. Never again.

    Disaster

Man, dealing with Budget at Lisbon Airport has been a nightmare. Our flight got delayed and we needed to change our pick-up time. Tried calling them at the number they gave us, 00351 218 435 550, but no one ever answered. I mean, how can they not pick up the phone? Couldn't find any email address either. We even reached out to Discoverscar, since we booked through them, but they couldn't get through to Budget either. Like, does this place even exist? We're freaking out because this is wasting so much time and we have no idea if we'll even get our car. Seriously, what a disaster!

    I got this bill saying

I got this bill saying I owe $250 for cleaning my rental car. I swear I returned it spotless. The contact number on the bill? It connects to some medical alert service, not the rental company. What’s going on? This feels like a rip-off! I’m planning to bring this up with the higher-ups and spread the word online. Charging $250 just for a bit of freeway dust is ridiculous. I've always returned cars in great shape, and I refuse to be scammed like this. It's beyond frustrating when the service doesn’t match the price, and it’s even worse when there's no easy way to sort things out.

    Incredibly slow

After a long day of travel, we arrived at Fuerteventura airport around 9pm, ready to pick up our rental car. We were exhausted and just wanted to get to our hotel. There was a lady at the counter who seemed really rude. She let someone jump ahead of us in line, even though we had been waiting for ages. It felt like they knew each other, which made it even more frustrating. The service was incredibly slow; we ended up waiting over an hour. It was really disappointing and definitely not the kind of customer service you expect. I'll be looking elsewhere for car rentals next time.

    You won’t believe what happened

You won’t believe what happened with this company. I thought booking through Jet 2 meant I was in safe hands. Turns out, that wasn’t the case. Imagine dealing with a customer service team that seems to have vanished into thin air. It’s like they’ve never heard of helping customers before. I was shocked, especially since Jet 2 usually has a good reputation. I wish I’d seen the bad reviews before diving in, but hindsight is 20/20, right? If you’re considering them, maybe think twice. It’s baffling Jet 2 is even associated with them. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

    Rented a car for a

Rented a car for a road trip in June, from the 23rd to the 27th, and it’s now late August—still no sign of our £330 security deposit. We even went back to their Battersea office in July, and they assured us it’d be sorted out in a week, but here we are, a month later, with nothing. It's been so frustrating to constantly chase them for something that should have been straightforward. I just want my money back, but instead, it feels like I'm stuck in a loop of empty promises. Not the experience I expected or wanted, and it’s been such a hassle dealing with this whole situation.

I went to the Allston location to pick up my order, and it was a bit of a mess. They couldn't scan my driver's license, so they just canceled my pickup. I mean, really? I was standing there ready to go, and they couldn't figure it out. It was frustrating because I had to rearrange my day for this. And to top it off, they couldn't even process a refund on the spot. The staff just told me to handle it online, which felt like a total brush-off. I left feeling like my time was completely wasted. I hope they get their act together soon because this was not what I expected at all.

    It was a confusing mess

When I rented a car in Portugal, it was a confusing mess. They really make the contract hard to understand, almost like they do it on purpose. I ended up paying for fuel three times, which was frustrating. The extra charges seemed random and just didn’t make any sense to me. I felt like they were misleading and just looking to get more money out of me. It was a real headache trying to figure out what I was actually paying for. Overall, it was such a disappointing experience, and I'm definitely not going back to Budget for car rentals. It's just too much hassle and confusion.

    I booked a rental car

I booked a rental car online for a decent price, but when my flight got delayed, things went south. I ended up at a different airport and had to get the same car at the desk. To my surprise, the price was more than double what I originally booked online. They didn't make this clear at all. If I knew this, I would have just booked it online again before heading to the desk. It's frustrating and feels like they're taking advantage of the situation. This isn't the first time I've seen such practices, and it really makes me think twice about using their service again. Not cool.

Rented a car from this place at Girona Airport. Dropped it off early morning around 4 AM since my flight was at 5:45. Nobody at the office, but they told me earlier I could just leave the car in the parking and drop the keys in a box. Did that, no problem. But then, surprise! They charged me 109 Euro from my deposit saying it was for "refuelling." Drove only 73 km and filled the tank at a gas station just 300 meters away before returning it. Felt like they pulled a fast one on me. Super frustrating experience. Be careful if you're renting from here, double-check everything!

    So disappointing

Man, this experience was a total letdown. I was told my deposit would be 300, but they sneakily took an extra 15 pounds without a single word about it. Felt like a punch to the gut when I saw the charge. Tried reaching out to customer service to sort it out, but after over an hour of waiting, no one bothered to answer. Just sat there watching the minutes tick away, feeling more frustrated by the second. I even tried to show proof of the wait time, but there’s no way to do that on Trustpilot. We booked our car rental

We booked our car rental two months in advance, thinking we were set. But when we arrived at JFK mid-afternoon on September 28, 2024, there were no cars! With our Fast Break status, I thought we’d be fine, but nope, we were 20th on a waiting list. We needed to get home, a 5-hour drive, so we took a train to Manhattan to catch a bus. Missed the bus by minutes and had to stay overnight in a pricey NYC hotel. Next morning, we finally caught a bus home. What should’ve been a $95 trip ended up costing us $500. Wrote to Budget, hoping for a response or voucher, but nothing yet.

This whole thing has been a nightmare

So, I rented a car from Kansas City Airport a couple of weeks back, and the experience was far from pleasant. I booked a car for just a day, and it was supposed to be around $90. But when I checked my credit card, I saw a whopping $422 charge! They assured me twice that the hold would be lifted, yet a week later, it’s still there. Thanks a lot, Brittany D. from Budget KC, for giving me false information. And don’t even get me started on the pickup process – it was chaotic and frustrating. I’ll share more details when I get a chance. This whole thing has been a nightmare.

    Back in July, I rented

Back in July, I rented a car for three days. After returning it, there was an unexpected $100 charge on my card. Fast forward to October 17th, rented another car and boom, another $200 charge appeared. No heads up or anything. Called them, and they said it was for incidentals, but my insurance covers all that stuff. Felt a bit like a scam. They don’t inform you upfront, just slap the charges on after. Really frustrating experience, honestly. Definitely won't be renting from them again. Just a heads up if you’re considering using them, be prepared for surprise charges.

    Total letdown

When I booked a car through Rentalcars.com, I got their full insurance, thinking I was all set. But at the Budget counter, they didn’t mention any other insurance options. Later, I found out I was charged €277 for some insurance I never agreed to. Rentalcars.com refused to help, saying it was my fault for signing the agreement. I felt totally misled by Budget. It feels like a scam, and their full coverage is useless. I’m really disappointed and won't be using Budget again. It’s frustrating to think you're covered and then end up with unexpected charges. So, twice in two months, I got cars with damage. The last time, no agent was around for almost 45 minutes. When one finally showed up, she was rude and said she wanted to walk out. The car I got had a bumper falling off, the tank wasn’t full, and it smelled bad. Went back to the agent, she told me to wait for another car, but she had no idea when that would be. Called customer service, they said I wouldn’t be charged for that day. Checked my statement, and guess what? I got charged. Called again, they blamed the other agent and didn’t help.
