I am a travel agent (travelatyourleisuretours.com) and recently worked with Samuel at Kensington to arrange a solo trip for my 81-year-old mother-in-law to Scotland. It is no exaggeration to say that this was one of the most significant trips I would ever plan. I needed to ensure I had the right tour company, the right guide, and someone who made me feel confident that my mother-in-law would be safe and cared for. I also consulted two other companies while planning the perfect itinerary. In the end, Kensington stood out as the only company I wanted to go with. Our trip to Costa Rica was one of the most unforgettable ones we've ever had - and as pretty seasoned travellers, that is saying a lot! We traveled from San Jose - Arenal - Puerto Viejo in mid-August, right when the Air Canada strike began - which meant we had to switch airlines. Kensington handled everything smoothly and adjusted our plan to fit the new flights, and every small detail was taken care of beforehand. We were a group of eight - with six kids, aged 5 to 16 years. We enjoyed everything about Costa Rica - the people, the animals, and the adventures - it felt like Kensington made our own private National Geographic journey! On top of stunning luxury resorts (perfect for our big family), the highlight was the guide with us for 10 days. Diego Castro, a skilled ecologist, shared his wide knowledge and interesting stories in a way even our 5 year old could follow. His passion for Costa Rica was clear, and he shared so many fun details that we will definitley return. He also cared so much for our children - making sure there was always water and OREO cookies in the van, picking kid-friendly meals, and taking us to beaches his own kids love. He made Costa Rica feel alive for all of us, and we will always remember how Diego made our ten days so special! This was the best experience I have ever had working with a support person

Niloofar Ghatei from Kensington Tours was nice to work with and always answered fast. This was our second time choosing Kensington. (Funny thing, the people we had breakfast with in Kyoto were also on their second trip with Kensington.) Kensington picks really good hotels - better than any others I've stayed at, even during my work trips to fancy places like Four Seasons. I still think about the hotel in Copenhagen and the one in Kyoto. We don't speak any Japanese and don't even know the alphabet - very hard to understand! So, even though we had been to Asia before, we needed a bit of extra help. Every guide and greeter was on time, some even early. They all had a sign with our names, which was super helpful. Each had brought stuff for us to use, and they were all very kind! The guides were really flexible, changing plans when we made last-minute requests, like visiting a modern pottery shop in Kyoto. They showed us things and told us stories that we never would have known by ourselves. We saw everything we wanted and even more. I'm fine with group tours, but the good thing about private tours is you get to spend your time the way you want and ask lots of questions from an expert. We’ve told our friends so much about the trip that now they're planning to book their own Japan tour with Kensington.

Our family had a great time planning our 2-week holiday in Australia with the help of Dev Jai, who worked with us closely to put together a tailored trip for us and our 22-year-old nephew over New Years. Dev paid attention to everything we wanted: holding koalas and seeing local wildlife at animal parks, walking in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, arranging a tour of the Sydney Opera House for our nephew who loves music, seeing Uluru and having dinner under the amazing stars in the desert, and ending in Northern Queensland to explore the rainforest by the sea. Every guide we had was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to, and Dev set us up with triple occupancy rooms in top places to stay with private rides to every stop. Everything was very well planned, and we are so thankful for his help. Dev stayed patient and adapted to our changes just two weeks before the trip. He even got in touch mid-trip to make sure everything was fine (and it was, as everything had been well taken care of before we got to Sydney). This trip made so many special memories for us and our nephew, and we truly appriciate all the effort Dev put into making this adventure so memorable!

We found out about Kensington Tours from a friend who went on a safari, and I’m really thankful for the recommendation! Right from the start, our trip was smooth and carefully planned. Daniel, our trip planner, was fantastic. He paid close attention and worked with us to design a two-week African journey that had a nice mix of plans and free time (some highlights were Victoria Falls, safari, and relaxing on Zanzibar’s beaches). He knew a lot and gave great advice on things like visas, tipping, and luggage rules. His planning was just right—everything was set but still left space for surprises. I also want to mention Jestus, our wonderful guide in Nairobi. He met us at the airport at 2 a.m. after a long, delayed flight, and welcomed us warmly with a smile. A few hours later, he was up early to take us on a small game drive and spent the whole day making sure we enjoyed every moment in the city. His kindness, energy, and deep knowledge really made the trip special. This journey was amazing, and Kensington (plus their fantastic team) made it all happen.

She connected us with a local tour company that had fantastic, English-speaking guides who made our visit authentic and special for us. La Paz area guide Grace was so knowledgeable about all the local history, culture, and must-see attractions, but also very personable (and FUNNY) Our main driver Wilson shared so much valuable information as well. We were blown away by our visit to the Uyuni Salt flats with Miguel and Jesus---they showed us all their favorite places. Pablo led us on an amazing day hike near Huayna Potosi. The hotels and restaurants chosen for us were all fabulous. They have unique opportunities no other lock tour companies offer (They also planned a wonderful trip to Morocco for us in 2019)

She made sure all necessary documents and registrations were handled on time. To get us ready, she arranged several calls to go over our itinerary and answer our questions before we left. While we traveled, she checked in to see that everything was going smooth. Every little detail was thought of. The Kensington staff in London and Paris, the drivers, and our private guides were wonderful. The Corinthia hotel in London was stunning and the Hotel Alfred Sommier full of character and history. We have zero complaints. Kristi is a true professional and a pleasure to work with!! After seeing how much she helped us, Kensington will be our first choice for future trips abroad.

Emma Dunkinson and her team organized an amazing trip for our group of six - she kept in close touch with me (I was the main contact for our friends). Emma knew so much and answered every question in a calm and friendly way. She went the extra mile and made us feel like we were her only clients, treating us with care and attention. From golfing and wine tasting in New Zealand to private penguin moments, Uluru learning adventures and hikes in Australia, plus snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, everything was incredible. The places we stayed were very special and unique. The local guides were helpful and kind. This is a holiday we will always remember and we could not have done it without Emma and Kensington. We chose Kensington for our first family trip to Switzerland and Lake Como, going off the usual routes. Nicolo was very helpful with organizing every part of the journey. The hotels from Chur to Lucerne to Cellarina to Lugano were just right. The guides and activities were interesting, well informed, and each place had its own charm. Also, the plan gave us time to explore on our own a bit. One thing I’d suggest is to use the Kensington app for the schedule, especially if you’re moving a lot or have local plans. The paper itineraries are less detailed and can be a bit unclear. Overall, we had a great time and I thank Nicolo for handling a family of four with teenage boy and girl twins, we all left with great memories!

Dev Jai, our travel consultant at Kensington, planned and organized a fantastic 15-day trip to Southeast Asia, covering Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. The communication with Dev before the trip was very helpful and gave us a good idea of what to expect. The places we stayed and the destinations were all very nice and comfortable. The trip schedule was well put together, and each country had knowledgeable personal guides and drivers. The whole experience turned out to be one of the most exciting adventures we've had in our years of traveling. It was great working with a consultant like Dev, who is so well organized and skilled. My sister and I just got back from a tour of the Cotswolds with Kensington, and let me tell you, it was a blast! We hit up so many cool places - Bath, Stonehenge, Lacock, Castle Combe, By-Brook, Malmsebury, Tetbury, Bybury, Stratford-On-Avon, Burford, and Oxford. Each stop had its own vibe, and we couldn't pick a favorite if we tried. The hotels were legit, not your run-of-the-mill chains. The Bay Tree Hotel in Burford has been around for 450 years - imagine that! The guides were top-notch, dropping interesting facts that you probably wouldn't get on a big group tour. We've barely been home for two weeks, and we're already scheming our next trip. Cheers to Kensington for a memorable adventure!

I just booked a trip to Greece with Kensington Tours. My vendor partner, Arjun Malhotra, was very nice to work with from start to finish. As a travel agent, I had a group of 16. We visited Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. Arjun helped me with all my questions and worries. The trip included many excursions, ferry rides, all breakfasts at each hotel, and transportation with guides for the trips. A nice touch was the gifts he got for me to hand out to my clients in Athens, along with a letter from me! It was a lovely gesture that made my clients happy. The Nile cruise was a great chance to explore the southern landmarks, learn more, unwind, and enjoy delicious meals. Our guides, Ahmed (in Cairo) and Kasem (on the Nile), were both very knowledgable and adapted to our personal interests. We are two couples who have been friends for many years and traveled together across the globe. We were looking for a trip to Japan that would cover a lot of cultural experiences, food, art, and history. Our Destination Expert, Niloofar Ghatei, was great at organizing the trip and making sure all the logistics worked well across five cities. From sumo and kabuki to geisha, cooking lessons, luxury spa resorts, and art museums, we had a fantastic two-week trip. All transfers, events, and customer service were done really well. Our family had a wonderful trip in Peru. We began in Sacred Valley with Gonzalo, an awesome guide who knew so much. Then, we did a one-day Inca trail hike and Machu Picchu tour with Yamil. He was a great guide with lots of knowledge and experience about the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. We returned to Cusco with Gonzalo and hiked Rainbow Mountain. We also had a 4-hour Lima tour with excellent guide Hilda. The whole trip was fantastic and went beyond our hopes. I would recommend this team to anyone looking for a great Peru vacation. We loved our stay in Santorini and Athens; the tours and guides were great; all the drivers and transport help were excellent; and the catamaran sunset cruise in Santorini was a top highlight! I also liked how Jaqueline quickly agreed to refund a large cancellation fee from a restaurant (since we had talked about canceling reservations if needed; we didn't expect any fees). Overall, the trip was wonderful and will stay in our memories for a long time.

I had the chance to see things in Egypt that I had dreamed about since I was a child. It took me 69 years to finally make it there, but it was worth the wait. Every part of my trip was enjoyable and filled with new experiences. I particularly liked visiting the lesser-known ancient sites that most travelers don’t get to see. The guides were very helpful, and the person who helped me organize the trip was also great. I traveled during Covid, which meant there were fewer tourists around. This was actually a big advantage for me.
