Surprised the brand's not rated higher!

I recently got my hands on the Insta360x4 camera, and let me tell you, it's a pretty slick piece of gear. The quality is top-notch, although, like with any camera, low light can be a bit tricky. Editing 360 videos is a fun little challenge, but capturing those full-circle shots feels kind of magical. After about a month, I noticed some sealant poking out at the back. Thought it was normal at first, but turns out it wasn't quite right. Hit up Insta360's customer service, and they were super helpful. Quick chat, got a return ticket, and they sorted everything fast. I was expecting a fix but got a brand new replacement instead! The camera rocks, just wish editing was a bit simpler. Surprised the brand's not rated higher!

    Amazing support

You won't believe what happened with Insta360! Got their Insta360 Link as a gift, no receipt and it broke after a tiny fall. I reached out to support, kinda dreading the usual hassle. But wow, they were super kind and totally listened to my story. They walked me through everything and offered to fix it for almost nothing. When the package arrived, I thought it was a new one. It was sealed and looked absolutely perfect, like brand new! I'm honestly amazed. Most companies just hide behind their rules, but Insta360 really cares about their customers. Thinking of getting their Care Plan now. If you're on the fence about buying from them, just do it. Their support is amazing. Thanks, Insta360, you guys rock!

I used to have the X3, and it was decent, but since I got the X4, it's been a game-changer. I love going on motorbiking trips and canyoning adventures, so having durable gear is super important. The lens covers on the X4 are just what I needed. They've been through some pretty rough conditions with me and held up incredibly well. It's so reassuring to know my gear can handle whatever I throw at it. Honestly, the peace of mind it gives me is invaluable. I can't imagine going back to anything less durable now. If you're into adventure sports, this is definitely worth checking out.

I bought the Insta One X3, and I must say, it's an excellent camera. What truly sets Insta apart is its exceptional customer service. They have an extensive support network across various social platforms, including Reddit, Facebook, and Instagram. Whenever I encountered an issue, their response was swift, and they provided valuable guidance for resolution. The only minor drawback I've noticed is that 360-degree videos can sometimes appear slightly blurry. Unfortunately, I haven't found a definitive solution to this particular concern.

I got this camera and it's a blast! Sadly, my second one sank in the Costa Rican waves last week. But the editing software is top-notch, perfect for the transitions in our upcoming PBS program "Menghayati" airing this November! Absolutely loving it! Now, I'm on the hunt for a new one. Just a tip, I've heard some people had trouble with returns when dealing directly with the company. If you can, buy it from Amazon or Best Buy and get that protection plan! That is, unless you lose it in the ocean like me! Haha! Cheers, Erik.

I want to express my gratitude to the after-sales support team at Insta360. Upon noticing an imperfection with my camera, I logged a ticket, and the team promptly responded. I shipped the camera for their review, and the entire process was seamless. The system they have in place is clear and user-friendly, providing updates at every stage of the repair. Additionally, the team was quick to respond to my queries regarding packaging. Great communication and service overall.

In fact, I'm so satisfied with Insta360 that I've even partnered with a local distributor. All in all, a great company and camera!

    Seriously impressive

I got this new camera and wow, the image quality is seriously impressive. It's my first one, so I'm still figuring things out. The learning curve is kinda tricky—there are these default modes that just start filming the action moments and then stop, which is a bit annoying. I missed some really nice shots because of that. Overall, I'm really happy with it, but wish it was a bit easier to use right out of the box. Still, the pictures it takes are worth the hassle. Feels like a good buy for anyone looking to get into photography.

my interactions with their customer service left me wanting more

I've had a generally positive experience with the product, but my interactions with their customer service left me wanting more. I had a simple query about cleaning the invisible stick's salt residue after saltwater exposure. Unfortunately, it took weeks of back-and-forth messages to confirm that using Dawn Platinum Dish soap to remove all the salt residue was a safe method. This process could have been much smoother and quicker, and it seems their customer service could benefit from better training and management.

I purchased a great product, but I encountered some difficulty when seeking advice on the best way to clean the invisible stick salt residue with plain fresh water after exposure to saltwater. Despite weeks of back-and-forth messages, it took some time to confirm that the method I found on forums, using Dawn Platinum Dish soap to remove all salt residue, was indeed safe. It seems that the customer service could benefit from better training and communication from management in my humble opinion.

Insta 360 X3 provides a reliable camera with an easy-to-navigate app, delivering seamless 360-degree stitching for various activities like motorcycling, mountain biking, skiing, and casual holiday captures. However, caution is essential when using it underwater, as the camera is not inherently waterproof. My initial attempt in a shallow pool led to water damage, highlighting the importance of a separate waterproof case. The inconvenience arises when dealing with warranty claims, involving sending the camera to Hong Kong and facing a prolonged wait. Despite this setback, the camera performs well when used appropriately, enhancing outdoor experiences.

    I got this camera

I recently got this camera hoping for an easy way to capture underwater moments, but it’s been a bit of a struggle. The camera itself seems solid, but the apps? Not so much. They have two: one for mobile and one for desktop, but neither does everything you need. If you want the fancy Aquavision 2.0 feature to tweak colors, you’re stuck using the mobile app. But then you miss out on the bigger screen and local file access of the desktop app. And finding any help online is tough compared to what GoPro offers. I was hoping for a smoother experience, and this makes it a bit frustrating for a regular user like me.

It's more hassle than it's worth

I recently tried to snag that free selfie-stick offer for some feedback, but it was a total mess. They sent me a code, but it was like trying to solve a riddle. Endless restrictions. I asked them how to actually use it, hoping for a bit of guidance. Instead, they just hit me with a long list of what it didn’t cover. I mean, isn’t the point of a promo to make things easy and fun? Felt like they were more interested in making it complicated than actually delivering on their promise. Not cool, right? So, just a heads up—don't get too excited about that freebie. It's more hassle than it's worth.

The camera is good, but the customer service is terrible. It took ages to get any response to my emails, and when they did, it was unclear. I bought an accessory that broke, and I ended up losing it and the selfie stick (almost lost the camera too). After 4 weeks of dealing with very annoying customer service, they offered me “half price shipping” saving me around £3… A defect left me £60-70 out of pocket.

    Using the Insta360 X5 every

Using the Insta360 X5 every day to capture real-world traffic is a bit of a rollercoaster. The camera itself is a dream – brilliant image quality, fantastic stabilization, and GPS integration. But the software? It's like hitting a pothole at full speed. Imagine having to export a 30-minute video just to add overlays like speed or tilt, and then importing it again to trim. Want to tweak the overlay's appearance? You're starting from scratch. And if you remove the SD card, your project loses file links, so you're stuck holding onto it forever or cloning it. Overlaying two text elements simultaneously? Forget it. The lack of a proper timeline, layers, or real workflow is frustrating. I had to shell out for the GPS Remote because my phone's GPS wouldn’t sync, yet I still need external editors like DaVinci Resolve to achieve what Insta360 Studio should handle. This camera could be legendary, but the software is holding it back. Insta360, please, for the love of creators, get the software right.

    Frustrating time!

I recently had a frustrating experience with a store's customer service. Initially, I asked for a refund on one item but later decided to keep it, so I requested to cancel the refund. However, my plans shifted, and I realized the order wouldn’t arrive on time. When I reached out to cancel the whole order, the response I got was baffling. The representative told me they canceled my refund request and that I'd receive a tracking email after the delivery. It was clear there was a misunderstanding, which was incredibly irritating. I don’t have much patience for this kind of confusion, and it’s put me off shopping there again.

    I bought this Insta 360

I bought this Insta 360 camera, thinking it would be perfect for our needs. It arrived, but I didn't get around to opening it for a week. When I finally tested it around the house, it just wasn't what we were looking for—way too complicated for our simple needs. By the time we decided it wasn’t for us, the box was already trashed. I emailed customer service, hoping for some help, but they were awful. Their 15-day return policy is a joke, especially since the camera was barely touched. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Now, I'm stuck with a camera I don't want and can’t recommend Insta 360 to anyone.

    Bought this for our company

Bought this for our company and wow, what a mess. The finance team is a nightmare – invoices are always wrong, missing fiscal codes, and they mess up prices. It's sketchy and feels illegal. They gave us FlexiCare as a gift, but honestly, I'm scared to even use it. The product itself is just okay. Quality-wise, it's alright but gets super hot if left on for more than 10 minutes. And don't get me started on the SD card reader – none of my cards worked except one after trying six different ones. Very frustrating and confusing. Overall, not worth the hassle and definitely wouldn't recommend for business use.

    I bought this product online

I bought this product online, and while it's pretty decent, the customer service was just terrible. They forgot to include an SD card that I purchased, and even after sending them photos of what I got, they refused to give me a refund. It took me weeks just to get a straight answer from them. Since they're based in China, they're not really bound by the same customer protection laws, so they can pretty much do whatever they want. If you’re buying from overseas, be ready to take on all the risk of not getting what you paid for. It was a frustrating experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to others.

I recently dealt with this company, and it was a bit of a nightmare. Their prices are just way too high for what you get. The tech support is practically nonexistent, and when you do get through, it's like talking to a robot. They just don't seem to care about solving issues. And replacing parts? Forget about it. It's a wallet-drainer. Honestly, it's not the worst out there, but it's definitely not worth the hassle or the cost. I'd recommend looking elsewhere. This experience was frustrating to say the least. Stay away if you value your time and money.

I upgraded from X2 to X4, and it was a mistake. The X2 was decent, but the X4 is just full of glitches. It's way too heavy, and their mounts can't handle it. I've had three Insta mounts break on me, and the last one actually caused the camera to fall to the ground. Customer service doesn't seem to care at all; they haven't even replied to my emails. The products are great but the customer support is really bad. I spent around €1.000,- on my first order from their website. After 8 days, my heavy duty clamp stopped working. I had to send 10 emails and reply to more than 20 questions before they sent me a new one.
