scam alert
by Alban M

scam alert! Booked a snorkeling gig in Cancun via TripAdvisor, and boy, did we get played. The weather was wonky, and the underwater scene was like trying to snorkel in a mud puddle. The morning trip got the boot, but then, surprise, they said our 11 am adventure was on. Took us out to the reef, and boom – murky lake vibes. Complained at the desk, they nodded in agreement but passed the buck to TripAdvisor. So, we hit up TripAdvisor, but guess what? They say the trip was a success since we took part. Classic runaround. AquaWorld knew the visibility was a bust but didn't bother giving us a heads up. Straight-up scammy move. Lesson learned – shady providers and murky lakes don't make for a stellar snorkeling day.

So, I booked a trip through TripAdvisor
by David

So, I booked a trip through TripAdvisor, but turns out Viator was involved, which I didn't know until I got the tickets. TripAdvisor shouldn't just say it's not their problem... Paid almost 300 bucks. Then got an email from the tour company saying sorry, they're all booked up, no space. Asked for my money back on the site, but Viator (the ones who gave me the tickets) said no refunds! Even though there was no tour! Seriously, how can these guys say they're a real business? After lots of complaining on social media and talking to customer service, finally got my money back. It's just ridiculous that TripAdvisor acts like they know everything about travel when they let stuff like this happen.

TripAdvisor lacks reliability for hotel
by Yianiko Georges

TripAdvisor lacks reliability for hotel selection due to alleged issues. Fake reviews and accusations of accepting payment for negative review removal raise concerns. A user's experience with Project 3 Urban Chic Hotel in Athens revealed a refusal for a service animal, violating Greek law. Despite the user's attempt to share this information, TripAdvisor removed the review, casting doubt on the platform's credibility. Caution is advised when relying on TripAdvisor for unbiased insights into accommodations.

Man, it's a bummer dealing
by Akos

Man, it's a bummer dealing with sketchy sites like hotelvalues and getaroom linked with TripAdvisor. They show up in Google searches promising the best deal, and you take the bait. But wait for it – hit that payment button, and bam, surprise! Suddenly, your bill is sky-high with mysterious taxes that have zero chill and nothing to do with the country's tax laws. Talk about a sneaky move. TripAdvisor, you might want to rethink your buddies here.

Oh man, Tripadvisor is being
by Paul

Oh man, Tripadvisor is being a bit of a mood killer. Tried to share my honest experience, no insults or anything, just real talk. But nope, they want to make it all rainbows and unicorns, like it's just a little misunderstanding. Well, if they're cool with taking the blame, here's the real deal on my not-so-great experience with them. Keep it real, you know?

planning our Oahu trip over
by eddie staynberg

planning our Oahu trip over Christmas was a blast, and we stumbled upon the coolest activities through TA. Snorkeling with manta rays? Check. Plantation tour? Double check. Left some love for the tour operators on TA, but seriously, can we talk about how authentic and spot-on their website is? Major props to TA for making our holiday adventure epic!

TripAdvisor, what happened?
by Raj Singh

TripAdvisor, what happened? It used to be my travel info bible, but now every review I click on is basically from the ancient times. Seriously, who cares about stuff that went down three years ago? It's like stepping into a time machine, not a travel site. Time for TripAdvisor to freshen up, or I'm outta here.

I really enjoy assisting people with day trips.
by Hankeogh

I really enjoy assisting people with day trips. I tell them what’s worth going to and what’s not worth the visit. Sharing my thoughts on it is something I enjoy a lot.
