Initially skeptical, I stand corrected about this site

Initially skeptical, I stand corrected about this site. It offers excellent deals on premium items and provides a platform for selling old clothes. While I made an error in judgment, the site's ability to deliver substantial returns, particularly for high-end items, is commendable. If you're looking to sell luxury items or snag great deals, this platform is worth considering.

    This company is a scam.

This company is a scam. Sent in 3 full bags of clothes and my payout on 15 items was $3. What a joke. You might as well just donate to GoodWill at that point.

Threadup is not a great company.

Threadup is not a great company. The new $14.99 service fee is not fair and is really tricky! I sent in a clean out kit with 3 boxes, and they charged me $14.99 for EACH BOX, even though they were all part of the same clean out. It shouldn't cost almost $45 for one clean out! The website says there will be a $14.99 service fee PER CLEAN OUT, not per box! I messaged the company, but the person didn't seem to understand my problems or check my account. Then, they just stopped talking to me without fixing anything. So frustrating! I won't use this company again!

I tried selling with ThredUp again after years

I tried selling with ThredUp again after years, and it was a bad experiance. Other online secondhand stores are much better. ThredUp has many hidden fees that make the process feel very dishonest, almost like a scam. For example, I used the chat on their website to ask about reclaiming my items, and the AI gave me the wrong info at first. You DO have to pay a reclaiming shipping fee, even if you opted for items to be returned, which also costs. The payouts are very low, not worth the time or cost of shipping and clothing.

I strongly advise against engaging with this business

I strongly advise against engaging with this business. They operate unethically, selling items for profit without adequate compensation to the original owners. Even worse, they resort to holding items hostage until customers feel compelled to repurchase them. This behavior is utterly disgraceful and unacceptable. I've taken the necessary step of reporting them to the attorney general for their deceptive practices. Save yourself the hassle and potential loss by avoiding this corrupt establishment entirely.

I've been using thredUP for a while

I've been using thredUP for a while now, both selling and buying stuff, and I've noticed things are not going so well lately. They keep offering really low prices for high-end fashion items, even if they still have the tags on. Also, there's a problem with mislabeling – like a jumpsuit being called a dress. I've bought stuff that was labeled as regular size, but turned out to be petite. They really need to up their game in labeling and pricing items accurately.
