After they switched to a new platform
by Christina

After they switched to a new platform, all my info vanished. All my things up for sale vanished too. Somehow, I found one item, and it was sold. But I never got any notice or my cut from the sale. Feels like they took my money. Emailed them multiple times, but no reply. Even went to the BBB, but no luck.

Their website lacks a phone number
by BusyM

Their website lacks a phone number for customer service, and the email link doesn't function. Despite independently emailing them, I've received no response even after 4 weeks. It's really disappointing that there's no effective means to reach customer service. I'd advise reconsidering business with them until they resolve these customer service issues.

If you get what you want, good
by Rowyn

If you get what you want, good! I like getting cheap clothes. But if not, the "refund code" is a problem. I got a code for store credit, but the instructions on how to use it don't work. Tried contacting customer service a month ago - no response. Disappointing. Wanted to use the store credit, but can't.

by Gran

The company's return policy is a major letdown; the postage cost for returns outweighs any benefits. It's a significant financial setback, making selling items on platforms like FB Marketplace a more sensible choice.

The delivery time for my order was
by Anonymous

The delivery time for my order was excessively lengthy (3 weeks), and some items were absent despite being refunded. The absence of a customer service phone line, with only an email option, left me unattended. The overall experience raises doubts about considering their services in the future.

The company's website lacks
by N Dumont

The company's website lacks detailed item descriptions, leaving customers in the dark about measurements and missing back-of-item pictures. Customer service adds to the gamble with unhelpful responses. While you might stumble upon a decent item, expect frequent cancellations per order. Dealing with receiving incorrect items is met with a dismissive attitude, emphasizing that refunds are only granted for damaged or significantly different items. The absence of options for "buyers remorse" makes navigating this site a risky venture, compounded by inaccurate color representations in product images. Proceed with caution to avoid potential regret.

This once-favored online thrift has lost its appeal. Navigating the recent changes is a daunting task, making it nearly impossible to locate desired items. The alterations are far from favorable, leaving me with no intention of making future purchases from this platform.

Since the transition to a Shopify format
by Lauren

Since the transition to a Shopify format under "The Jay Group," my experience with this company has been disappointing. Recent orders face significant delays, and the once-detailed product listings now provide minimal views, especially for non-returnable items. The returns policy has become excessively stringent, particularly for thrifted items. Placing an order on January 13th, I've encountered a lack of progress, met with a nonchalant customer service response. It's regrettable to witness the decline of Swap.com; the shift has left much to be desired.

by Emily Harp

Ordered over $100 of clothes for my rapidly growing son, hoping to find a reliable online thrift store. Unfortunately, after weeks of waiting with no shipping updates, I received a vague email stating a refund due to "unforeseen issues." While the refund was processed, the disappointment lies in not receiving the expected clothes. It's frustrating that items displayed were unavailable. Now, the search for another online store begins. Lesson learned - be cautious when considering purchases from this company. The two stars are solely for the refunded money, not for a satisfying shopping experience.

Swap.com used to be my go-to
by Tito Steeto

Swap.com used to be my go-to for budget-friendly fashion, but something's gone seriously wrong. The sizing is a mess, and good luck finding anything under $5 now. It's disappointing to see a once reliable site take a nosedive. As a former loyal customer, the recent changes are disheartening. The new management seems clueless, making it hard to recommend this site. Save yourself the hassle and explore other options.

by Chansa

A big fat zero stars! Customer service is non-existent, and I'm left chasing $1,600 owed since the ownership change. Countless ignored emails forced me to escalate with an official BBB complaint. Taking this matter to the FBI is my next step. Appalling service and a serious lack of responsiveness.

by Laurane S

I was a dedicated customer of Swap, but recent changes have left me disheartened. My recent order took an agonizingly long month to arrive, and my attempts to contact customer service went unanswered, with a disconnected phone line exacerbating the frustration. The new security code system for account login, causing a 24-hour delay, adds another layer of inconvenience. Even after enduring these challenges, my attempt to return ill-fitting items was denied, leaving me stuck with a $75 investment in unwearable clothes. The company's decline in service and policies has compelled me to seek alternatives.

I helped my 91 year old
by Nathan

I helped my 91 year old mother pack a box full of high end never worn or barely worn clothes and shoes. Swap com confirmed receipt but lost box during move. They kept saying they would post items. Never gave us money. Finally said items were lost and promised meager $100 but then never sent that either. Use Poshmark instead. Who cheats a 91 year old woman for more than a year?

Swap.com has consistently
by Reginald T.

Swap.com has consistently disappointed with issues like musty-smelling deliveries, inventory discrepancies, and prolonged shipping times. My recent encounter takes the cake - nearly 20% of my order never shipped, making it impossible to return wrongly sized items due to a partial refund workaround. Despite timely communication within the 30-day window, multiple emails to customer support remain unanswered. Even the listed support number is disconnected. What was once a source of good deals with subpar fulfillment has devolved into an utter debacle. The hassle is no longer worth it.

I made a regretful purchase from
by Inessa K.

I made a regretful purchase from this company on Dec 12, 2023, buying three discounted cardigan sweaters for $27.84, shipping included. However, only one item arrived after seven days, accompanied by a partial refund of $6.42 instead of the expected $13. Despite my three emails questioning the discrepancy, they refused to rectify the mistake. Formerly known for excellent customer service, the recent change in management has turned them into a frustrating and unreliable choice. My advice: steer clear to save yourself from unnecessary hassle.
