I tried the Nickel Alert to test my jewelry, belts, and accessories for nickel. I found it surprising. Almost all my belts contained nickel, and most of my vintage jewelry did too. It explains some issues... Also, some cheap jewelry from China had nickel. I wish there was a simple way to check for lead and cadmium too.

I wore the belt only six times, primarily for airport travel, when the tongue of the buckle broke off. Upon contacting customer service and sending them photos, I followed their instructions and sent the belt back at my own expense. Much like the previous reviewer, I was informed that the belt use was considered "rougher than intended" (which was not accurate). They offered to fix it with a month or so turnaround but insisted on an additional $12 for shipping. When I requested them to return the belt without repairs, they refused unless I paid for the shipping. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied with their customer service. I strongly advise against making a purchase.

Upon reaching out to customer service, I received a delayed response stating that I must be tough on my belts, attributing the issue to my usage and claiming that such wear typically takes 1 to 2 years. Despite my gentle use, they refused to replace the belt or offer a credit, placing the blame squarely on me. This experience with their customer service has been disappointing, and I strongly discourage others from purchasing this belt.

They claimed that my usage had been "rougher than intended" (which was not the case), and the proposed solution was an additional $12 for shipping with a month or so turnaround time to fix it. When I requested them to simply return the belt, they refused unless I covered the shipping costs. This experience has been characterized by horrendous customer service. My advice: Do NOT Buy!!

The situation became more frustrating when I realized the high delivery cost. I was charged $50 CAD for the delivery of an item that costs only $100 CAD. To add to my disappointment, the delivery person unexpectedly asked for an extra $25 USD (equivalent to around 37 CAD) for customs fees, a charge that was neither mentioned nor included in your website's information. The total expense for the delivery surpassed the actual product's price, and regrettably, the product's quality did not justify the cost. In the end, I paid over 200 CAD for a product that did not provide the same satisfaction I received from a fabric belt I purchased for just 30 CAD, shipping included. This entire experience has left me extremely displeased, and I find it difficult to consider making future purchases from your company.

I placed an order for two new belts in the hope of better quality. About a year ago, I purchased two belts, and to be honest, I wasn't entirely satisfied with their quality. One of them had issues with a significant plating loss on the buckle, and the other belt experienced a problem where the buckle separated from the belt due to a less than ideal connection method using pins and a clamp. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for improved durability this time around.
