    Living in Corpus Christi, I

Living in Corpus Christi, I decided to send some New Year’s Eve treats from Publix to my daughter in Madison, AL. Publix uses Instacart for deliveries, and while the delivery guy kept me updated on some substitutions, he left the order at the wrong address. My daughter’s friend drove around trying to find it but had no luck. I contacted Instacart, and after lots of back-and-forth, they said it would be redelivered between 2 and 4 p.m. But then I got a confirmation saying it’d be delivered on January 1. Frustrated, I spoke to Instacart again, but nothing could be done. They offered a refund in 5-10 business days, a Publix credit, or reschedule, none of which were ideal. The Publix store manager was amazing, though. He went above and beyond, even offering to deliver any urgent items himself. People make mistakes, especially during the holidays, but paying $23 for a failed delivery is unacceptable. I won’t use Instacart again and hope others in Alabama think twice before using them.

    Being a single mom working

Being a single mom working 50+ hours a week, I heavily rely on grocery delivery. Over the past few weeks, I've used Instacart several times, but each experience was worse than the last. My main item is Red Bull, which is behind the courtesy desk at Price Chopper. Despite texting drivers about this, issues persist. One driver didn't speak English and claimed the store was out of everything, including my Red Bull, which was false. Another time, a driver bought the Red Bull but it never made it to my bag. Today, I texted the driver because the app wasn’t working. She got an attitude, bragging about being a "diamond shopper" and dismissed my concerns. She showed up with a guy, made me carry heavy water cases, and then both of them started yelling profanities and calling me names outside my house, scaring my daughter. This was unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Instacart, you need to do better.

    Scam experience

I had quite an experience with this service while trying to purchase some liquor for the office with a company card. The card wasn’t under my name, and that’s where the trouble started. They put my account on hold, insisting on an ID that matched the card, which I didn’t have. Tried using a different card and ID, but no luck. Live chat was supposed to help, but they just directed me to emails I’d already checked. Calling didn’t help either. Finally got a scan of the owner’s ID, but they didn’t accept scans. Frustrated, I decided to just delete my account, but that was a hassle too. With my account on hold, I couldn’t access the deletion option. Live chat was silent for ages, then told me to find the Privacy Portal online. After a lot of searching, I stumbled upon it through a third-party site and finally requested account deletion. Such a frustrating and unhelpful experience!

    I signed up to be

I signed up to be a shopper with this app on 3/15/25. Right after, my account got locked because of a background check. It was done by 3/22, but then my account needed identity verification. I tried contacting customer service several times with no response. By 3/28, I was still reaching out daily with no luck. Suddenly, they said I needed another background check. I contacted Checku, got a prompt response, and finished the paperwork. But then my account got locked again for UD verification. It's been 16 days now. The forum shows employees face this daily. I’m a licensed professional but chemo has me home-bound, so I hoped this would help financially and mentally. The customer service is awful. The complaints are staggering, and they seem to manipulate info to lower pay. I have documented everything, but still no resolution. Still waiting.

    I've been using Instacart for

I've been using Instacart for years without issues, but last month, things went south. I noticed a mysterious $38 extra charge on my receipt, labeled as an "extra delivery charge" that was supposed to drop off after a week. It never did. When I called customer service, they were no help and insisted I just wait for it to disappear. It didn't. After three frustrating calls to their customer service in the Philippines, where I was treated quite rudely, I got nowhere. Being 76 and unable to drive, $38 is a big deal for me. Even my bank couldn't help, labeling it a "legit charge." So, I canceled Instacart, which was another nightmare. Now, I'm using FreshPass from Vons and Albertsons, and it's been smooth sailing. Can't believe Instacart would let a loyal customer go over $38.

    Ordered from Aldi through Instacart

Ordered from Aldi through Instacart aiming to make a special meal for our 3rd anniversary. Had around 15 items, and the delivery was supposed to be at 4 PM. Shopper arrived at 2 PM but didn't start shopping until 2:30 PM. Found out through a message that the shopper was handling multiple orders - wish I had been notified since this never happened with other stores. By 4:30 PM, I started getting worried. Contacted customer service (had to create an account, which was a hassle) and the rep was polite but unhelpful, just said my order was on its way. By 5:30 PM, groceries still hadn’t shown up, ruining the dinner plans. Also, my first order arrived smelling like cigarette smoke. Overall, very disappointed and won't be using Aldi or Instacart again.

    I had to rely on

I had to rely on this service due to my disability, and it's been nothing but a headache. Several orders came wrong, and I didn’t realize you only have seven days to file a complaint. I started using the service when I got really sick with the flu and pneumonia, so I let some mistakes slide at first. They did refund a few smaller orders, but for a big one over $200, they refused to give my money back or offer any credit or re-delivery. And, am I the only one who never gets an American rep? Every time I call, I get someone foreign, and even the supervisors have names I can’t pronounce. Avoid this service unless you absolutely have to, and make sure to check your order before the delivery person leaves. This company is a scam.

    As someone who uses Instacart

As someone who uses Instacart regularly, I gotta say, it's a mixed bag. First off, the prices are through the roof. Seriously, why is it so expensive to place an order when the shoppers themselves get paid peanuts? Makes you wonder where all that money's going. And don’t even get me started on the technical issues. Just today, more than half of my orders had to be rescheduled because of some payment card issues. Imagine shopping for nearly an hour, only to find out you can’t pay and the order gets canceled. The shoppers get stuck with a tiny batch pay while missing out on the tips they depend on. It’s just not fair, especially since tips make up the bulk of their earnings. Instacart really needs to sort this out.

    I wish I could give

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with Instacart has been terrible. First, their fees are outrageous. Plus, they hike up grocery prices, even on sale items. I've been on their monthly plan for a year due to health issues and travel, canceling when not needed and renewing when I am home. Out of nowhere, they charged me $99 for an annual fee I never selected. When I contacted them, they refused a refund. I talked to two employees, one of whom I could barely understand. Her name was Aliza, and she wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. I've now filed a complaint with my bank and Publix. No response yet. This mess will affect my shopping with Publix, and I'll never use Instacart again. Avoid them!

Really hoping someone sorts this out soon!

Hey there, I’ve been driving for Instacart for a bit now, delivering groceries all around town. Things usually go smooth, but lately, I’ve been hitting some bumps. So, on April 20, they had this promo where drivers were supposed to get at least $64 for doing six deliveries. I did exactly that, but they tossed me just $3—can you believe that? Then there’s this whole other mess: end of March, did two deliveries, didn’t see a penny of the $52, and then early April, another $18 vanished into thin air. Tried knocking on their support door with screenshots and everything, even tweeted them, but got nothing more than vague replies. Feels like I’m talking to a wall here. Really hoping someone sorts this out soon!

    I had the worst experience

I had the worst experience with Instacart. Tried to get some groceries, but it was a mess from start to finish. My shopper said they needed more money even though I’d already paid online. I tried to clear things up, but they just didn’t get it. So, I contacted support, and they said it was wrong for the shopper to ask for more money and promised to fix it. Hours went by, and nothing changed. My delivery window kept getting pushed back, and I still didn’t have my stuff. Finally, after more back-and-forth, support gave me a refund. This was my first time using Instacart, and I was hoping for an easy experience, but it was a nightmare. Shopper was rude and unprofessional. Never using this service again.

    I've been using the Giant

I've been using the Giant Foods app for my groceries without a hitch until recently. On April 17, I tried to order, but the app had some tech issues. Customer service redirected me to Instacart, so I placed my order there. I waited by my door the whole delivery window, but nothing showed up. Tried again the next day through Giant Foods, and thankfully, everything arrived fine. But then, checking my bank account, I saw Instacart charged me for the non-existent delivery. After multiple calls to Instacart, they refused to refund me without any explanation. Now I'm disputing the charge through my bank and planning to lodge a complaint with Giant Foods. This whole fiasco was frustrating beyond belief!

    This company is really frustrating

Ugh, this company is really frustrating. I’ve heard from a bunch of folks that whenever there's a tip, they actually pay their workers less. Plus, many people using the service don’t tip, and those orders end up mixed with ones that do tip. They boast about shoppers making up to $25/hr, but honestly, you’re lucky if you get $13 or $14. And for shop-only orders? No tips allowed. I chatted with some workers at grocery stores offering shop-only, and they said customers try to tip them thinking they’re the ones shopping. It’s just wrong. Sure, it's not all bad, but there are many ways to improve things for the workers rather than being selfish and giving them the smallest reward for their hard work.

    I had a terrible experience

I had a terrible experience with Instacart recently. Ordered groceries through Stop and Shop, but some items never got delivered. Gave them the store's number to confirm my order, but they kept calling the 800 customer service number instead. They said they couldn't reach the store manager four times, which seemed like an excuse. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Instacart, and they just kept saying they understood but did nothing to fix the issue. I even asked for my $10 tip back, but no luck. Either they don't know what they're doing or they're just giving people the runaround. Very frustrating! Stop and Shop really should consider using a different delivery service. Not happy at all!

    Buyer beware!

So, imagine this: I ordered some Budweiser from this delivery service, thinking it would be a breeze. I wanted two 18-packs, but they were out of stock. I ticked the box for a refund, but that went totally ignored. The shopper reached out, offering two 12-packs instead. Against my better judgment, I said yes. The receipt from the driver showed $29.18, but Instacart billed me $49.28, as if I got the original order. I tried calling them, even the driver tried, but hours passed without a peep. Frustrated, I contacted American Express to dispute the charge. Honestly, dealing with their customer service is a nightmare. I'm done with them; they just can't seem to get it right. Buyer beware!

    Let me tell you about

Let me tell you about my frustrating experience with Instacart. I'm 64 and have a broken arm. I ended up canceling my account after they charged me for an order that never showed up. I followed all their steps, they said they'd look into it, but nothing happened. Months went by and they still charged me for that order. Now, when I'm laid up and can't drive, they refuse to reactivate my account. They claim I had multiple accounts, but that's only because their system kept locking me out, and they suggested I create new ones. I won't use their delivery service again, and they won't even let someone else pick up my groceries. Instacart preys on seniors instead of helping us. Avoid them!

    My nightmare

Let me tell you about my nightmare with this company. They're all about squeezing every penny out of you and forgetting what customer service even means. They charged me way more than they should have for a purchase, and despite my attempts to get my money back, they were completely dismissive. I tried talking to two different employees, hoping someone would help, but they just didn’t care. They had no interest in fixing the issue even though the sale was clearly there. It's like they don’t even know what customer service is! Honestly, beware of them—they’ll take your money without blinking. I wouldn’t suggest anyone use their services. Look them up first or you might just regret it.

    So, I got this Instacart

So, I got this Instacart debit card in the mail yesterday, but it wasn’t even in my name—it was for someone named Aniyah Credle. The address was right, but I have no idea who this person is. I called customer service and first talked to a woman with a thick accent, then a guy who claimed he was in Atlanta. He didn't seem to know what he was doing and wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. It was frustrating trying to understand him and he kept asking for my address without the city, state, or zip. I had to spell everything out for him. The whole experience was a nightmare. I will never use Instacart again and I demand my address be removed from their system. This feels like fraud!

    I've been using this app

I've been using this app for about a year, and it's been a rollercoaster. Initially, I got hooked by a promo, offering a yearly membership for just $29.99. But a week after signing up, they canceled it out of nowhere, and suddenly, the cost shot up to $99.99. Felt like a scam, losing $70 just like that. Fast forward to now, I'm battling a cold and ordered some over-the-counter meds through the app. None were prescription meds, but they insisted on checking my ID, which was expired. The driver was super understanding, but customer service? Not so much. They wouldn't budge and release my order, even though it was paid for the night before. Frustrating doesn’t even cover it!

    Beware

Yesterday, I ordered some men's t-shirts. I tried to select the size but the app just ignored me. The shopper picked whatever size and checked out. I messaged him, but no reply. When the shirts arrived, they were the wrong size. Too small, can't wear them. Contacted Instacart for a refund or credit, they gave me a credit. But later they said no credit, and sent me a link to appeal. Instacart is so unreliable. They may or may not give you a credit for messed-up orders, and if they do, it might disappear. Also, had a weird experience with a delivery guy who forced my door open. Told Instacart many times, but they keep assigning him. I don't feel safe. Done with Instacart.

    I can't believe how bad

I can't believe how bad my experience with Instacart has been. I signed up for their premium service, thinking I'd get top-notch support and convenience. Instead, they've locked me out of my account for months over a charge they messed up. It didn't even show up as "Instacart" on my bank statement, so I disputed it, thinking it was fraud. After sending them all the documents they asked for, they still haven't fixed it. Their customer support is a joke—I've sent countless emails and gotten no response. It's like they don't care at all. They even asked for more money to fix their mistake. This company is a nightmare. Avoid them if you value your time and money.

    I remember when Instacart was

I remember when Instacart was a real lifesaver, but now it's just disappointing. I pay a premium for their service, including the extra for Priority delivery, and it's supposed to make things smoother, right? But the shoppers don’t seem to care about what they pick. It’s like they just grab whatever’s closest. More often than not, they refund items or pick replacements that don't even match what I ordered. It’s frustrating, especially when you’re paying top dollar. It's not what it used to be, and I'm just waiting for someone else to step up and offer a better experience. Instacart really needs to step up their game or they're gonna lose loyal customers like me.

    A terrible experience

I recently had a terrible experience ordering food through the Instacart app. I got my meal and it was a disaster – the meat was burnt outside and raw inside, couldn't even eat it. Tried to get help from Instacart, but they just passed the buck to Uber Eats. Apparently, Instacart places restaurant orders through Uber Eats without telling you. So when something goes wrong, you’re stuck in a blame game. Instacart said they couldn’t help and Uber Eats claimed I didn’t order from them. It’s a complete mess. Instacart is unreliable for restaurant food. Their customer service is a joke, and you end up with no solution. Avoid ordering restaurant food on Instacart.

I've been using Instacart regularly, and it's been a rollercoaster. The app has some serious issues; the selfie identification glitch has been a headache for ages. Trying to reach customer service is like pulling teeth—waiting forever just to get disconnected. And as for the shoppers, it’s frustrating to see them struggling with low batch pay. I've noticed batches for as low as $4 or $5, and that's not fair for the effort they put in. The mileage adds up too, especially when they have to drive on rough roads. It's disappointing to see a big company like this not addressing these issues. It feels like they're not valuing either the shoppers or the customers.

    From January to April 2025,

From January to April 2025, Instacart's been messing up my deliveries, sending my groceries to the wrong place six times! The last straw was when they dropped my order at an abandoned house. Stop and Shop was great, trying to fix the mess, but Instacart expected me to retrieve it myself after I paid them to deliver to my address. I canceled and got a credit from S&S. A few days later, my mailman complained about a food order blocking my path—my groceries had been baking in the sun for days! Instacart wouldn’t pick it up. I've tried to fix these issues before, but their service and attitude are terrible. How do they stay in business with such poor service?

    It's frustrating

So, I've been using this delivery service, and it's been a nightmare. They keep dropping my stuff at the wrong address, and then they bombard me with calls and texts to take packages that aren’t even mine. It's worrying, especially since I'm in NYC where robberies are common. Customer service? Forget it. They're useless—just keep transferring me from one person to another without solving anything. I ended up losing all the money I spent on groceries, and someone else is enjoying them. The photo they showed me of the delivery spot doesn’t even match my door. It's frustrating when you rely on these services for essentials and they just mess it up so badly.

    So my roommate tried to

So my roommate tried to get some lactose-free milk delivered, right? He made it super clear—no substitutes if they were out. But guess what? The driver just ignored that and brought regular milk instead, which is cheaper. Can you believe they kept the extra cash? My roommate complained and the company basically blew him off. They delivered something that could make him seriously sick, and they just didn't care. It's like they don't get how dangerous this is. I'm worried about others with even worse allergies. This kind of service is beyond irresponsible. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with lawsuits. Seriously, I hope they get their act together.

    Thanksgiving was a disaster this

Thanksgiving was a disaster this year. I ordered a turkey and all the sides from Fred Meyers via Instacart, scheduled for delivery at 8:45 a.m. By 9:30, my anxiety was through the roof. The delivery, handled by Vanessa, was canceled, yet they had the nerve to mark it as delivered and charged my card. I was supposed to dine elsewhere, but plans fell through, so this order was crucial. Multiple calls to fix it went nowhere. Ended up with no turkey and a ruined day. Tried to salvage it by shopping in-store, but no turkeys left. Just threw in the towel. Instacart and Fred Meyers really let me down. Never using them again. Thanks for ruining Thanksgiving.

    Instacart is a total scam

So, I decided to give Instacart a shot and it was a disaster. First off, they charged me way more than I expected—like, more than my actual purchase. Then, they signed me up for some service I didn't even agree to. Next thing I know, my account's overdrafted for money I didn't authorize. When I called them, I got super frustrated. They said they'd release my money but guess what? It didn't happen right away. Apparently, it’s gonna take 5-10 business days to get my money back. How does it take them seconds to take my money but days to return it? I’m contacting my lawyer and filing a lawsuit because this is just ridiculous. Instacart is a total scam.

    Horrible

Let me tell you about my experience with the customer service for this app. If there’s an issue at the store, they fix it, no problem. But dealing with the app? Prepare yourself for a headache. The customer service seems to be outsourced and while I don’t mind that, the folks I’ve talked to are just not helpful. They don't listen or seem to care at all. They just repeat the same useless info over and over. It feels like they don't understand why you're calling, and trying to explain anything further is pointless. You'll end up more frustrated than before and probably just go to the store yourself. It’s like talking to a brick wall, seriously.
