Oh boy, where do I

Oh boy, where do I begin? Our trip with Delta was a disaster from start to finish. We got to Orlando airport and it was chaos trying to get our bags tagged. The machines wouldn’t work and there was no staff to help all the frustrated people. The line to check bags moved at a snail's pace, with one poor Delta employee trying to manage a crowd of annoyed travelers. At the gate, things got worse with garbled announcements, stressed-out passengers, and a last-minute scramble to board. Once on the plane, the seats were uncomfortable, leaning forward awkwardly with barely any legroom. The plane itself felt old and run-down. The meal situation was a joke—one of us got a lackluster meal and the rest with dietary needs got nothing, even though we booked in advance. The cabin crew was rude and unhelpful, clearly wanting to just sit down for the whole flight. It felt like we were treated like cattle. We deeply regret choosing Delta and would pick any other airline over them any day.

I was a bit puzzled

I was a bit puzzled by all the negative reviews about Delta. I fly with them a lot—around 6 times a year internationally and even more domestically. My last flight from JFK to LAX to SYD on August 17 had some hiccups. The crew timed out, and we spent 2 hours getting back to the gate because of air traffic. The flight ended up getting canceled, but I wasn’t too surprised. Reading some of the complaints, I feel like many people might not travel as frequently. Sometimes things happen that are out of the airline's control, like security checks or air traffic delays. When the crew times out, I know to call Delta right away and get rebooked. It’s all about being proactive. I’m a Diamond Medallion member, so maybe that helps, but honestly, if you keep an eye out and know what to expect, flying can be a smoother experience. Delta's had its ups and downs, but overall, they’re pretty solid.

On July 31, 2024, after

On July 31, 2024, after a 2.5-hour delay, we missed our connecting international flight. Delta Airlines gave us a voucher for a hotel room, Ubers, and food. We got to the hotel at 2:00am, and they asked for a credit card for incidentals. The next morning, breakfast turned into a mess—front desk said restaurant handles the voucher, and restaurant said front desk does. After tons of back and forth emails with customer care, I finally got reimbursed for breakfast ($60). They said they don't cover weather-related delays, and never told us why we were delayed. Got charged for the hotel on my credit card and had to fight again for reimbursement. Contacted Delta.com, and they told me to reopen the claim. Customer care was anything but caring. They should honor their vouchers.

I've been struggling with my

I've been struggling with my Delta SkyMiles account for ages now. I got my SkyMiles number and verified it via email, but logging in? Nope. Reset my password multiple times, still nothing. I’ve talked to so many different reps, each one giving me new steps to follow. Even made a new account under their guidance, logged in once, then got kicked out. On 10/26/24, I reset my password again with a rep on the phone, but still couldn’t log in. Finally, the rep admitted there's a system issue. My new account apparently didn't even have a password set up. I've verified my SkyMiles number and reset my password three times now. It’s super frustrating, especially since others are having the same problem according to Reddit. Delta, please fix this!

I recently flew with Delta

I recently flew with Delta from Orlando to Amsterdam and had a terrible time. I needed assistance due to my disability, but they ignored my requests throughout the flight. The so-called "accessible" process was a joke—complicated and ineffective. I felt really let down and discriminated against. Tried to raise my concerns with their customer care supervisor, Jacob Costillo, but he just brushed me off with generic responses and closed my complaint without resolving anything. I’ve even taken my complaint to the U.S. Department of Transportation. If you have any special needs, I'd seriously think twice before flying with Delta. They clearly don’t care about accommodating passengers with disabilities.

I recently flew with China

I recently flew with China Eastern and claimed SkyMiles credit, but Delta messed up calculating the miles based on the wrong fare class. I reached out to complain, and their response was incredibly rude. They just closed my case without even trying to solve the issue. They told me to check with the travel agency about the fare basis, but I had already done that. My ticket had a fare basis of B, which was confirmed by both China Eastern and the travel agency. My husband, who bought his tickets through the same agency, got the correct miles based on class B. This is so frustrating and unfair. I’ll never reach the status I want now. Delta’s customer service is a joke.

Flying with Delta was a

Flying with Delta was a letdown. We usually go with United or American for our international trips, but thought we'd try Delta this time. Big mistake. They tried to upsell us on a business class upgrade, but the price was just ridiculous. We went for it thinking it might be worth it, but it was just meh, nothing special compared to other airlines' business class. Even though we’re SkyMiles members, it feels like the miles are useless. When we wanted to upgrade our seats on the way back, they had plenty of empty seats but wouldn’t let us. Seriously, if you want an airline that’s flexible and doesn't overcharge for upgrades, you might wanna skip Delta.

Flying back to LA from

Flying back to LA from Cancun was a bit of a letdown. The ticket was pricier than Alaska or Aeromexico, and the service didn't match up. There were no meals during meal times, which was a bummer. Plus, other airlines offer free WiFi, but not this one. The worst part? They randomly searched bags at the gate. It felt off that only solo travelers and minorities were picked. I got stern looks and was asked to open my bag and even take off my shoes. Super slow and awkward with everyone watching. Also, when I asked about drinks or food, I was told to check the menu, but they didn’t even have almonds. Not flying with them again.

Following the worldwide tech issue, my family

Following the worldwide tech issue, my family ended up stranded in Boston (original flight was Saturday) and didn’t depart until Tuesday. The Tuesday flight from Boston to Minneapolis (with a stopover for Alaska) faced a 1-hour delay due to mechanical issues. On Saturday, I tried to reach Delta and waited on hold for almost 7 hours. Eventually, I went to Logan airport and stood in line for over 2 hours. I was informed that they couldn’t issue a refund, and only Delta could handle that. There was also no effort to find an alternate flight. You sympathize with the staff, but come on Delta, improve in these tough times.

Man, I'm just baffled by

Man, I'm just baffled by Delta's latest antics. It's like ever since 9/11, airlines tossed good customer service out the window. Seriously, why do I have to take off my shoes at security? Who's ever hidden a weapon in their shoes? I can't recall a single instance. And now, they're harassing folks over silly stuff like T-shirt messages. I get that some words can be offensive, but isn't this America? Aren't we supposed to have freedom of expression? I support everyone's right to free speech, even if I don't like what's being said. Delta, step up your game and make flying pleasant again, for everyone.

Caught an early flight from

Caught an early flight from Boston at 5 AM, so got to the airport at 3 AM. Not a single staff member in sight. By 3:30, they announced we had to switch lines, which was annoying since I was first in line before and now ended up behind a ton of people. An employee then told some of us to drop our bags outside. Got there, but that counter was closed too and only opened at 4 AM. They always say to arrive early for security and warn about last-minute luggage checks, but what's the point if they don't have enough staff to open the counters on time? It was really frustrating and a lousy start to my day.

Had an amazing time in

Had an amazing time in Panama City, but the journey back was a nightmare. We were stuck on the tarmac for an hour due to some log book issue, which made us miss our connection in Atlanta. Delta didn't seem to care at all. We arrived late, and our bags went on without us. So, there we were in Atlanta, with just our duty-free stuff, which we ended up losing because we couldn't bring it through security. Delta didn't reimburse us for anything, just gave us a $100 e-credit. Honestly, felt like once we bought the ticket, they stopped caring. Definitely not flying with them again.

Flying with Delta can be

Flying with Delta can be a mixed bag, but my recent trip from Denver to CVG was surprisingly pleasant. I know they get a lot of flak when things go south, but this time they nailed it. The crew based out of New York were just fantastic. Despite the usual travel hiccups like weather and plane issues, they really went out of their way to make the experience better. Their genuine care and positive attitude stood out. It's not often you see that level of service. So, hats off to them for making my journey smooth and enjoyable. Definitely worth acknowledging their effort.

I booked a flight with

I booked a flight with Delta that got delayed by hours, which was super frustrating. They assured me I’d get a refund and even gave me a confirmation number, saying it’d take 7 business days. After waiting a week, I called them back since nothing showed up in my account. The person on the phone then told me I wouldn’t get a refund because it’s against their policy. I felt completely misled and betrayed. How can they promise something and then just take it back? This really messed with my trust in Delta. Wouldn't recommend if you expect honest customer service.

As someone who's on the

As someone who's on the go a lot, I gotta say, Delta's kinda my go-to airline now. Lately, it feels like service everywhere is just tanking, but Delta's still got it. Sure, things aren't always perfect—delays happen, stuff breaks—but they deal with it better than most. Their planes? Way cleaner. And the crew? Super friendly and professional, which is a lifesaver on those long hauls. Delta's bailed me out more times than I can count, really going above and beyond. If you travel a lot like me, these guys are pretty solid and definitely a step ahead of the rest.

You won't believe the mess

You won't believe the mess I went through with Delta. My direct flight from Lisbon to JFK got canceled and I had to take two flights instead. Talk about a headache! To make things worse, they downgraded my service and gave me a measly 20,000 miles back when I paid for an upgrade that cost me 200,000 miles. Their "We Care" customer service kept giving me the runaround with generic responses. It felt like they just didn't care. Trust me, steer clear of Delta if you can. At least with JetBlue, they actually care about their customers. Delta? Not so much.

I booked a flight for

I booked a flight for my son to come home, but never got a confirmation email. I called Delta's customer service and they said the flight was full and no seats were available. Next morning, I saw the money was taken from my account. Later that day, got a partial refund, but not the full amount. I contacted my bank to dispute it. Now, Delta refuses to give back the rest of the money. It's so frustrating that they can just keep your money for a flight that didn't exist. This experience was really disappointing, and I feel like they just ripped me off.

Flying back from Italy to

Flying back from Italy to NYC was supposed to be a breeze, but Delta managed to ruin that. My luggage came out with a bent frame, totally wrecked. Tried filing a claim, but Delta baggage folks said bent frames don't count as damage. Seriously? You could see it was hit hard by something heavy. Steel frame doesn’t just bend on its own. Spent weeks trying to reason with them, but it’s like talking to a wall. How can they not see a bent steel frame as damage? Unbelievable. Never flying Delta again, they clearly don't care about customer stuff.

We were all set for

We were all set for our trip, but things went south real fast. Plane broke down right before takeoff, which meant we missed our connecting flight. Ended up driving for hours to another airport, only to miss that flight too. Talk about a nightmare. They knew the plane had issues but didn't have any spare parts or backup planes. Delays kept piling up and then the ticket agent couldn't even find our tickets. The whole thing was a mess from start to finish. I can't believe how disorganized this airline is. Never flying with them again.

I booked a flight from

I booked a flight from Calgary to Boston, thinking it was Delta, but it turned out to be Westjet. My golf carrier was left behind in Calgary, and I only got it 18 days later in Scotland, all thanks to an AirTag I put inside. The bag was wrecked. Complained to Delta right away, but after 9 weeks, they said it wasn't their problem and to talk to Westjet. Westjet then told me I had missed the 7-day window to file a claim. Both airlines couldn't care less about customer service. Never flying with either again. Total nightmare.

Had a tricky situation with

Had a tricky situation with my booking 'cause there were several passengers involved. Needed some real human help, so I tried out the text support. That's where I met Kaelyn Thomas. She was just fantastic! She really took the time to get what I needed, found the best solutions, saved me money and was super polite the whole time. Kaelyn, if you're ever looking for a new job, hit me up! Seriously, Delta, you’ve got a gem there. Thanks Kaelyn and thanks Delta! You made a stressful situation way easier.

I took my first trip

I took my first trip to the USA in June 2024, visiting a friend in Minneapolis. Flew with Delta Airlines, which was a first for me. Booked economy but switched to Main Cabin last minute—definitely worth it. Signed up for SkyMiles beforehand. Check-in was a breeze and security didn't take long either. The flight itself was pretty pleasant, staff were friendly without being overbearing. All in all, it was a solid experience and I'm happy with how it went.

Just had the weirdest flight

Just had the weirdest flight experience. The Wi-Fi barely worked the whole time, which was super frustrating. Tried checking in through their app, but that failed too. And to top it all off, we arrived an hour late because they messed up the daylight saving time switch. It's like they weren't prepared for any of it. Not the smoothest trip I've had, honestly.

I can't believe my luck!

I can't believe my luck! Got bumped up from economy to economy plus because they overbooked. Watched some awesome movies, both new ones like Deadpool and Wolverine and classics like The Shining. The food was surprisingly good, and the crew? Super friendly. It made the flight way more enjoyable than I expected. Definitely a nice surprise!
