Terrible Chinese company selling junk

I echo what many other legitimate users have said. This thing worked for maybe a day then quit charging, quit connecting and quit detecting motion. Their overseas tech support pointed a finger at every aspect of my setup and not their junk product. I tried numerous SSID Wi-Fi bands, 2.4Ghz only, charged via a wall charger, put the unit right next to my router. When it did connect, the live view was all black and no motion detected. It’s just garbage. I spend hours and over a week back and forth with tech support for them to finally offer a refund and within an hour they inbound and locked my device. So now it’s a metal bird feeder with a locked camera paper weight. You can’t leave any negative reviews on their own website. They filter everything. On Amazon, “Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product. Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews.“ this means most positive reviews are likely fake and this is just a Chinese shill company operating under a US business license selling garbage products to unsuspecting customers. Stay away.

I’ve bought a few products from Birdfy, and I’ve always been let down. Even though the products seem pricey and look like they should be high quality, it’s just a facade. In reality, they’re just low-end Chinese products from a company pretending to be based in the US. The products don’t work well, and the software is full of bugs. It’s frustrating how many problems keep popping up with these items. I would highly recommend avoiding this company – you’ll just end up paying a lot of money for subpar stuff.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Birdfy feeders and my experience with them. My daughter gave me my first one as a present, and the joy it brought me was worth so much! The videos and pictures were clear, and watching them live was so enjoyable. After that first one, I got a few more feeders and even gave them as gifts. I own the Birdfy1, Birdfy Duo 2, Bamboo feeder, Bamboo mini feeder, and two stand-alone cameras. In my view, their customer service is the best, hands down!

I strongly recommend Netvue Birdfy feeders! I own the Birdfy Feeder 1 and the Humfeeder with dual cameras, and I love watching the birds up close. The birds seem to enjoy the feeders as well. The cameras catch birds flying and capture all the fun moments at the feeders. I haven't seen a better camera feeder around. The app is fantastic and sorts the bird species, which I really like. They're well-built, and there are lots of attachments available. Birdfy is really doing its best for its customers.

Overall, I am satisfied with the Birdfy 'Bamboo' feeder and camera. However, the setup instructions and the 'Chat' support with tech advisors were not very helpful and gave incorrect guidance. The camera has an alarm that sounds when motion is detected, and although it is said to be turn off, the advice I received was inaccurate from the beginning. It was quite confusing and a bit annoying.
