We had a Great Dane/Mastiff mix, so we started with the toughest toys & treats box. The toys were super tough, made for dogs that destroy regular toys easily. Our dog, Anubis, wasn’t that into the toys, but he loved the treats. We switched to the next level down, which had bigger toys for a giant dog, with fluff, squeakers, and crinkle plastic. We kept the bigger box with 2 toys, 2 bags of treats, and a special treat. After a few months, we downsized to 1 toy, 1 bag of treats, and a special treat. He’d get so excited when the box came! We gave him the special treat first (cookies, bully sticks, etc.), then the toy. He’d spend the next couple of days tearing apart the toy, pulling out fluff and squeakers. By the end of the month, he’d bring the shredded toy around everywhere he went. Even when he was sick and barely moving, that box would cheer him up and make him feel young again! It was totally worth it. The smaller box was only $14 a month, and he loved it all—the treats and the cute toys. They canceled our subscription quickly when we asked after saying goodbye to him, and sent a nice email. We kept the subscription for years until he passed away. I’d recommend them, and if they had a cat box, we’d have it by now. Thanks Barkbox!

I can't express enough how great this company is. Their customer service and attention to detail are amazing. I subscribed for 6 months to their box for my dog, who tends to chew a lot. After a few boxes, I saw my dog going through the toys really fast. I contacted them through chat, and they were so nice and helpful. They suggested I try a super chewer box and even sent me a free toy because I wasn't fully happy with my last box. After a few more boxes, I realized the toys were a bit too big for her, so they quickly sent me a new toy and updated the notes in my box to include smaller ones. Every time I contacted them, they made the whole process easy and smooth. Highly recommend! I took a break from the boxes since my dog has a lot of toys and still has treats, but I plan on resubscribing once she’s ready for more toys again.

I can't say enough good things about this company! My dogs (and I) enjoy the toys a lot – they are fun, strong, and inventive! Almost every toy ends up being a favorite, and my dogs (Black Labs) seem to choose different ones each day for reasons I'm not sure about. They have a few favorites for sure. I do wish BarkBox would sell toys separately sometimes, since a favorite may go missing. It's a special experience and it's clear this company cares about animals!

My dog received a BarkBox for more than 3 years. We were both excited every month to discover the toys and treats selected for my furry friend. The boxes are based on themes related to seasons or holidays, which made the items even more adorable. It all began as a gift from a friend when we adopted our pup. Since the boxes were so fun, we decided to keep ordering them for the next few years.

Customer service is great, but the toys aren't that good. When I adopted my pup, a friend gave me some of her dog’s bark box toys. I loved them so much that I signed up for a subscription. Not sure what happened, but the toys in the box were a big step down from the ones my friend had given me! Her toys were strong and fun - with rip and reveal sections that kept my dog busy for a long time, ending with a tough squeaky toy. What came in my box were toys with crinkles and squeaks. As usual, my dog destroyed them, but instead of a solid toy inside, she found stuffing, a thin layer of plastic, and a weak squeaker. Instead of a fun toy that would last, I was stuck cleaning up stuffing and plastic bits to make sure she didn’t swallow them. They were good about replacing the toys I was worried about, but plastic in a dog toy is just not okay.
