Absolutely loved the 6 week

Absolutely loved the 6 week trainin' sessions I jus' finished. The trainer made sure I was doin' exercises that worked fer me. He pushed me at the right times. Lost weight and inches!

Clean and quiet spot.

Clean and quiet spot. No annoying kids or rude people with cameras. Everyone's nice and happy. Staff and trainers are great. I had Mike, who understood PTSD and autism well. Didn't make me feel bad like other places do. No issues at Anytime Fitness Squamish. Great supplement store downstairs. Overall, best place around. Can't ask for better.

I gave them notice of cancellation

I gave them notice of cancellation months before my 6 month contract was up. (They never told me it was a 6 month contract and never gave me the contract through email) then fast forward to 6 months, I email again just letting them know if everything is in order to cancel and they say they actually need 1 month's notice to cancel, saying they will charge me again for the next month. I wrote an in-depth analysis of exchanged emails and how my notice of cancellation was valid, but I was told “it’s not their job to keep track of all the customers” so I just cancelled the direct debit. They are now talking about late fees etc. Do not join this gym; they are careless, unprofessional scammers.

I decided to terminate my membership

I decided to terminate my membership, an action that should have been straightforward. Several months before what I presumed was the conclusion of my 6-month contract, I informed them of my intent to cancel. Oddly, I had never received a contract via email or been made aware of its terms. When the contract's presumed end date arrived, I contacted the gym to confirm the cancellation, only to be informed that an additional month's notice was required, and they intended to charge me for the subsequent month. Frustrated, I provided a comprehensive analysis of our email correspondence, demonstrating the validity of my original notice. Their response was disheartening; they disclaimed any responsibility for keeping track of customer notices, essentially shifting the blame to me. In the end, I had to resort to canceling my direct debit to put an end to the recurring charges. This gym's unprofessionalism and indifference to customer concerns were exasperating and bordering on unethical.
