My dog Shelly always used to turn his nose up at his food

My dog Shelly always used to turn his nose up at his food, sniffing it and walking away. It really upset me! But ever since I switched to Happy Howl three months ago, things have changed. Now he waits by his bowl, wagging his tail, and finishes everything. I’ve never seen him so excited for mealtime!

    My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lucy, used to have digestive issues with kibble. Happy Howl has been a real change. No more upset stomach or loose stools—just a cheerful, healthy dog. I won't use any other brand again.

Good company, hope they offer a lite option. I’ve reduced my portions, still putting on weight. They really enjoy their meals, though.

We just got our first order of Happy Howl food.

We just got our first order of Happy Howl food. I've been giving my dog either raw or freeze dried food for 12 years. As he's getting older, I thought it best to stick with human grade options. So far, he's making the change well. However, I am surprised at the serving sizes and find the feeding suggestions aren't really exact - (40-50lbs 1.5 cups a day). Even with the portions I'm giving him during this time, it doesn't seem to be enough for him. I'm a bit confused and worried about how much to feed him. He's 43-45 lbs, 13 years old and active. Can you provide a more exact or more closely exact amount so I can make sure he gets what he needs?

After seeing the reviews, I bought this food for my dog

After seeing the reviews, I bought this food for my dog but sadly she couldn’t handle it at all. I reached out to the company to ask for a refund after sending it back, but they said no. I felt very let down and upset, especially as a first time buyer. They told me I should have gotten the sample pack first, but their website also says they offer a 30 day refund policy. Normally, companies with good reviews have decent customer support, but this company’s service is really poor.

I ended my subscription, but Happy Howl still charged me anyway.

When I reached out, they said they sent emails about a shipment — but I never got any. I looked carefully, even in spam. Instead of owning up, they just accused me of lying. Luckily, I disputed the charge with my credit card and got my money back. Still, I shouldn’t have had to do that. If you want to try Happy Howl, watch out with the subscription. Cancelling doesn’t seem to matter much to them, and their support just tries to shift blame instead of solving the i

    Deceptive

I ordered food on a Saturday and expected to get it on Wednesday since I paid for two day shipping. I didn't get it till Friday because they just have sent it late. when I complained to customer service they didn't get why I was mad. my dog hadn't been eating and I was in a hurry to get this food for her to try. now it's Friday and we got the food. she doesn't like it. I complained. they told me that I need to transition the food. I explained how I've tried several different foods and know the transition process. she doesn't like this food. period. I asked can you just answer my question will you give me a refund or not? they said no. it clearly says on their website they have a thirty day money back guarantee. what a lie. what they also don't tell you is that they trick you. prior I asked if any of the recipes would be good for a dog with kidney disease. they gave me a suggestion and a discount code. come to read the fine print when it comes to refunds.. no refunds if you use a discount code. what a scammer company. absolutely horrible insensitive customer service. my dog is on her death bed and I get treated like this from this company. this food isn't any better than the other fresh food companies out there. they like to compare themselves as being better than Ollie, but at least Ollie refunded me when I told them my dog wouldn't eat the food and I donated it to our local rescue. not everyone is out to get free dog food from you. and I'm in agreement with the last reviewer the customer service rep I dealt with was Clyde. the guy is a robot and doesn't read my email or answer my question. he didn't understand why I was complaining about my package not arriving in two days. read the fine print, there is a list of exceptions for the money back guarantee. you also may purchase 2 day shipping but probably wont get it in 2 business days.

    Horrible product

We made the horrible mistake of purchasing from Happy Howl because we were told there was a 30 day guarantee. I got the variety pack. Their website somehow placed a discount code that I never entered myself. We received the food and my dog will not take a single bite of it. I sent an email and they responded saying to try a few different techniques to introduce the new food. Everything we tried failed. I let them know I gave it an honest try but she literally would not eat any of it. She has eaten Farmer's Dog and a few of the other higher end foods with no issue so this was really odd. They responded rudely saying that I entered the discount code and that they would not stand behind their product simply because of the discount code that I never even asked for. So now I'm stuck with over 30 boxes of food that my dog won't touch. I took it to my neighbors who have 3 rescue pups and literally none of the will touch it either. Absolutey HORRIBLE customer service and horrible product with an obvious discount code scam. RUN! Do not trust them. Stick with companies that have reliable customer service like Farmer's Dog and Ollie. The fact that a company will not stand behind their product because of a discount code that I literally knew nothing about is insane. But the rude customer service is a whole next level. I was able to protest this with my credit card and they reversed the charge but more importantly than the money I feel obligated to share my experience with this horrible company so that others aren't hit with the same scam.

I had high hopes for this new dog food

I had high hopes for this new dog food company, but my experience has been disappointing. I took advantage of the 40 percent off deal on the 2 X 18 Variety pack in November 2023. Upon receiving the package, I discovered that all the cartons had the same expiration date of April 29, 2024, contradicting their claim of a two-year shelf life. The absence of a customer service number and slow responses through the website chat heightened my frustration. Despite promises to replace the outdated product, I'm still waiting. It seems like their rapid growth has strained their ability to provide satisfactory customer service, an essential aspect of any business, regardless of the product. Operating in the USA demands effective English communication in customer service, a standard they've failed to meet.

Mediocre food and terrible customer support

On two occasions now, even after my account had been canceled, they sent me food and charged my credit card without my authorization. The first time, I filed a dispute with my credit card and they agreed with me and refunded the money. This most recent time, I just filed the dispute and I'm waiting for the verdict. In any case, I wouldn't trust these guys as far as you could throw them. Horrible customer support, no phone number to contact anybody, and writing emails is a waste of time because the people reading them, particularly ****, is incapable of following a conversation.

    Happy Howl's automatic reorder system

Happy Howl's automatic reorder system has been a frustrating experience for me. Despite my attempts to address the issue through emails and the website's customer service, I never received a response within the promised 24 hours. The unauthorized $89 charges on my credit card continued, leading me to file a dispute. Unfortunately, the lack of customer support compelled me to take further action, blocking them through my credit card company. I would caution against doing business with a company that lacks responsive and effective customer service.

    Proceed with caution

Ordered their variety pack. I was hopeful that my fur baby would like this food. I tried three different flavors. My boy refused to eat all three. I emailed customer service twice requesting a refund. Their response was transitioning with their food and denied my request for a refund. Terrible customer service and now I’m stuck with this expensive food that my dog refuses to eat. BEWARE. PROCEED WITH CAUTION

late delivery or NO delivery. bad customer service

my order kept coming very late. the last straw was when it did not come at all. the company tried to say I requested a return. Total bs. they never delivered it to the shipper. I have proof of it through UPS. then they said they would send me a package overnight. lied. never sent anything. so I filed a claim against them. they have the worst customer service and are habitually late.

    Rash

I tried this for my chi mix and after 8 days eating it she developed a bad rash all over. Red, itchy, and slightly bloody. She had also thrown up every morning for 2 days. This was expensive and now I have a box I can't/wont use.
