Dark patterns lead to huge charges

Be very cautious of this company. They have sneaky fine text and dark patterns that lead to huge charges. For example, the large text will seem to imply you will be charged $3 a week or $16 a quarter, but then you will get hit with a $30 a month charge. Very slimey. If your product is good, you shouldn't need dark patterns to make money. I also found their AI integration to be entirely unhelpful (the suggestions were weak, got much better recs from entering into Chat) and the template to be a bit difficult to taper to my career where a very clean, paired down CV is the gold standard.

Terrible Experience – Unauthorized Charge and NO Real Support

I had a really bad experience with Resume.io. I let a friend use my card just to pay $2.95 for a one-time resume, and somehow weeks later I was charged $24.95 without my knowledge or consent. I never signed up for this account, never used it myself, and yet they claim to have “located my account” — which is not mine! The account name literally has different name, so does my card!!!! When I reached out for help, all I got were copy-paste responses with no real support or accountability. They just repeat the same script and completely ignore the fact that the charge was unauthorized and linked to someone else's use, not mine!!! This feels incredibly scammy. There’s no client care, no willingness to listen, and no solution offered. Be extremely careful — you may be charged even if you never touch the site.

I have used Resume.io several times for creating CVs in my early career and I am always very pleased with the outcome. The site offers many templates and it is simple to use and adjust.

I really enjoy the editing feature. It's really helpful to have one page for editing and the other side showing the finished result so you can view them at the same time. You can easily see the final version and make any spacing changes or adjustments needed.

Charged me and refused to refund

Very unhappy with this service. They charged me for half a day of their service and refused to refund me. I didn't not not use this service! I tried building a CB in the first week, paused the service asking a neighbour the exact format I require and could not do what I needed on resume. I tried to cancel and I was billed!!!! So far customer support is not refunding me the money and sent me a long email on how I am welcome to use the free functions.. I don't need the free functions they don't help me. Chat gtp is more helpful and it's not costing me over 24 dollars for not even half a day.
