I've been buying from MF for 25 years, with 23 years of success. But I won't buy from Musician's Friend again. Clearly, I'm not alone. Look up MF online, and you'll find confirmation for a better business rating of 1.39 out of 5. They can't be trustid. Selling open box returns as new. Misrepresenting items. Saying items are in stock, when they don't actually have it and then failing to notify customers that the item is on back order. Yesterday, a MF rep told me they don't send out emails to notify customers that they purchased an item that's actually backordered but which the website said is in stock.. They also recently sold me a broken/damaged item that the website said was in level 1 mint condition. I could go on an on about my terrible experiences in the last year.

Always fancied a Gibson 335.

Always fancied a Gibson 335. Fam got me one in '01, soon after GC got MF. Play pro now, got loads of gear. Still, this one's the worst. Couldn't ditch it, too sentimental. Fought it, never gigged it. Hardware corroded quick, pickups suck, action's bad. Top wood's dead, doesn't resonate, sound's off. Never knew then. Just dead. Hate writing this, but that's my story. Still hurts.

I got an open box, it came in a box with holes and smashed corners. Sending open boxes and damaged ones isn't fair. No one owned up to the mistake, though they took my money. The box had notes saying it was damaged from a February shipment, so they knew.
