IJL paid close attention and asked
by Jeff

IJL paid close attention and asked many questions about the kind of person I wanted to meet. This helped make the date successful because we both shared common interests.

This company is a big disappointment.
by Terry Kelly

This company is a big disappointment. I've tried to get my money back multiple times, but they don't even bother to respond. Over the course of a year, they only found four potential matches for me, and one of them backed out. The other three were just okay, not really what I was looking for. Despite sending them pictures of my preferences, they seem to ignore my feedback completely. It's a complete mess.

I embarked on my inaugural
by Jim

I embarked on my inaugural date arranged by the matchmaker Marina, and it turned out to be a fantastic initial experience! Every aspect aligned well, except for the physical chemistry, a variable that can only truly be gauged in person. Despite this, I had a delightful evening and am eagerly anticipating my next match. Marina impresses with her thoughtful questions and genuine interest in aiding me in finding my ideal partner. I am genuinely pleased that I decided to sign up!

Jake recruited me approximately
by Julia

Jake recruited me approximately two years ago, and by December, it will mark the anniversary of my enrollment. Regrettably, I agreed to sign up and ended up paying a significantly higher amount than was advisable given my income. Unfortunately, I have not met even half of the promised 12 meetings, with my last encounter taking place in July 2023. Despite assurances of receiving one meeting per month, I have not received any communication, not even a check-in to inform me of the lack of suitable matches in my age group. To add insult to injury, I recently received a solicitation email encouraging me to sign up again. I must express my dissatisfaction with IJL, as it appears to be a fraudulent service. I am formally requesting reimbursement by December 2023, and if this is not addressed, my next course of action will involve filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

My experience with It's Just Lunch was, unfortunately, not as positive as I had hoped for
by Jenny Pierre

My experience with It's Just Lunch was, unfortunately, not as positive as I had hoped for. I signed up for the 12 matches package, with the bonus of two extra matches, giving me a total of 14 opportunities to meet potential partners. Regrettably, this journey was far from the exciting dating adventure I had anticipated. It appeared that It's Just Lunch struggled to find suitable candidates, resulting in some questionable selections. During one particularly memorable date, my companion openly asked if I had connections to a doctor who could prescribe pain medication. His financial situation was equally disconcerting, with him arriving at the restaurant via bus and struggling to pay for his meal - a situation that made for a rather uncomfortable evening. Another date left me equally frustrated; he couldn't wait to leave, appeared to be well outside my preferred age range, and failed to share any common interests with me. The overarching issue I encountered was the lack of due diligence in vetting these matches. Many of them misrepresented themselves, claiming one profession while actually working in a completely different field. Similarly, a match who was supposed to be employed in the medical field was, in fact, unemployed. While there were a few exceptions - men who were employed and had genuinely engaging personalities - they were the minority in my series of dates. It's worth noting that some of the matches even lived with their parents. There's nothing inherently wrong with this, but I would have appreciated knowing this information in advance to better understand their life situations. My overall impression of It's Just Lunch was that they struggled to provide the level of service they had advertised. While the service may work for some, it did not align with my expectations, and my experience was far from what I had hoped for in a professional matchmaking service.
